Wyandotte resident holds intruder at gunpoint until police arrive

By Jim Kasuba
Imagine pulling into your driveway, opening the garage door and finding a stranger inside.

That’s the situation a Wyandotte woman found herself in, but the intruder soon found himself in an even more precarious position.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Dec. 5, in the 1200 block of Sixth Street. The woman told police she was running errands and upon returning home and opening the garage door, found a stranger sitting inside.

She immediately went into her house and told her husband an intruder was in the garage. Her husband ran out with a gun, pointed it at the 39-year-old Lincoln Park man, and called police.

“Don’t you move until the police arrive!” the resident reportedly yelled at the intruder.

Three arrested, victim recovering after shooting at South Nashville apartment complex

Joey Gill, Ethan Illers
NASHVILLE (WSMV) – Three suspects were arrested after a shooting and apparent attempted robbery at a South Nashville apartment complex Wednesday night.

Metro Police responded to the Maple Creek Apartments on the 2700 block of Glenrose Avenue around 11:20 p.m. and found a white Nissan Frontier truck with significant front end damage abandoned near the entrance.

Metro officers soon found a gunshot victim near an apartment in Building B. The victim said he arrived home and parked and the truck pulled up behind him, blocking his car. He said three Hispanic men exited the truck and one pointed a handgun at him and were yelling at him.

The victim told police he charged the suspect and they fought over the gun until it went off and stuck him in the hand. The shot also apparently struck the suspect in the finger. The victim was taken to Southern Hills Medical Center for treatment.

All three suspects jumped into the truck and fled the scene, striking two cars in the process and disabling the truck at the entrance to the apartments. Police found the suspect vehicle, a white 2006 Nissan Frontier pick-up truck, abandoned nearby.

Myrtletown Card Shop Owner Fires Gun at Would-be Robbers; HCSO Releases Suspects’ Descriptions

Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On Dec. 17, 2019, at about 4:30 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a business on the 1600 block of Myrtle Avenue, in the county’s jurisdiction of Eureka, for the report of a robbery in progress with shots fired.

Upon arrival to the business, deputies made contact with the store owner. According to the store owner, just prior to deputies’ arrival a female suspect entered the business and inquired about selling baseball cards. As the store owner was completing the transaction, an unknown male suspect entered the business and attempted to steal the business’ money drawer.

A struggle ensued between the store owner and the male suspect. At some point during the altercation the store owner discharged a concealed firearm once. The suspects then reportedly fled the business, uninjured, on foot without the business’ money drawer.

Deputies searched the surrounding areas but were unable to locate the suspects.

None shuffling off this mortal coil today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, but we do have four inconvenienced and two in the wind. Not too shabby. The questions arise on occasion if the gun pr0n posted daily is from my personal collection, and on occasion yes, it is. Usually though it’s eye candy I find on the interwebs while researching the daily FGS articles. One of the more pleasant distractions of my day, and I hope yours as well.

False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crime. — Cesare Beccaria, quoted by Thomas Jefferson

Hood rats are everywhere. Guess the Nashville amigos were just taking jobs that American hood rats didn’t want? FTA, 14 yo arrested with the ankle monitor from a previous jv conviction. The rest of them from today? We’ll see them again.

I just put a Surefire X300 light on my MK25, for night reading and things. A police trade in for $98.
