My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent Never Trumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.”
Here’s my answer: We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship.
Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? We tried propriety.
Has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same. This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.
I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party.
I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks. I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent. Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished” but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper.”
The Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the ’60s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and nothing is seen as beyond the pale. It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies from day one the violent take-over of the universities till today.
The problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only side fighting this war. While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in their way, the Right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and propriety. With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end. Donald Trump is America ‘s first wartime president in the Culture War.

President Trump is a bulldozer. He is exactly what we need.
He tweets to get around media censorship and access. And he can get out information in real-time.

Look what happened to the Brittish during the Colonial Wars. They had their asses handed to them because the Americans didn’t play by the rules. We didn’t line up taking shots or receiving them in battles of attrition.
There are things I don’t agree with that he’s done, and that’s a good thing. I have independent thought processes and use objective reasoning built on a foundation of facts.
Also, I don’t have the amount of information or life experience he has.
Throw tomatoes at me but I think he’s the best we’ve had since President Reagan. And I loathe Reagan’s actions supporting and allowing gun control.
Before Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt was a badass.

This weekend the Mrs Deplorable bought two boxes of tomatoes. We spent the weekend thin slicing onto a cookie sheet, with diced onion and bell peppers, sprinkled with olive oil and herbs, roast in the oven for an hour. Remove from oven, let cool, bag in a gallon ziplock, freeze. Great for this winter as a base for home made spaghetti sauce.

Got to agree with my Mafioso Brother wholeheartedly. I have made no secret of my utter disgust with politicians on BOTH SIDES, but the demon rats in particular. And yes I grew older in the yellow dog demon rat area of the deep South. Many of the professional politicians were demon rats until recently they changed to the Repubs, not because of their change in their philosophy, but to insure re-election. I have always registered and voted an independent ticket and haven’t voted for a demon rat since Senator Sam Nunn decided not to run anymore. There is only a very small handful of pols today that have the best interest of the Country at heart. And hardly no true statespersons. The People of this Country voted for Trump because so many are like us. They are literally sick of how these people have been acting for years now, and want to see a true change in business as usual. I am not amused or entertained by the shenanigans going on in Washington and I would like to see 90% of them locked up, or better yet, swinging from a rope after being convicted of their crimes.
I will paraphrase what Reagan said to Gorby; “President Trump, drain this swamp!”
Unlike Obummer, he says and delivers on things like this:

And it’s great that the farmers you know are doing so well, but not all of them are – farming, in fact, has gotten $28 billion in government funds recently because of issues stemming from the trade war. Solyndra, the failed solar company, got half a billion – 3.5% of that.
