Happy New Year, dickweeds. Thanks for making us part of your year, thanks to Hondo and TSO for their support and filling in for me when I’m gone. And to the rest of you who contribute occasionally. Thanks to our advertisers who make this a lot less expensive. I have no idea how many phonies we busted this year, but there are now about 800 on our “Stolen Valor” page, not all of them were our busts, but there they are.
Despite the best efforts of folks to take us off of the internet and chase away our readers, we still had over 3 million unique visitor this year, so I guess that didn’t work out for them.
Anyway, here’s a toast to all of you. Cheers! May this New Year be your happiest and prosperous ever.

There was a news story last night about a fire that engulfed the Address Hotel in Dubai. When I saw the video, ‘engulf’ is a mild word for it. It went up like a torch. But the Dubai fireworks show went on, anyway. It was an almost symbolic thing.
