Andrew Francis Lippi purchased an island for 8 million dollars, but stole $300.00 worth of items from Kmart. (Monroe County Sheriff’s Office)<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Andrew Francis Lippi had enough money and credit to purchase\u00a0 an island, but couldn’t simply spend $300.00 for household items. Instead, he came up with a plan to steal that merchandise instead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Not only did he purchase Thompson Island, but he also owns the house used by MTV for it’s 17th season “Real World” episodes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police say Lippi bought items including a Keurig coffeemaker between March 30 and April 5.<\/p>\n

He returned the original boxes with other items packed inside.<\/p>\n

Lippi told the Herald the theft allegation is “complicated” and he’d rather not talk about it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
