One of our Facebook friends sent us a link from Operation Veteran Outdoors<\/a> in which the non-profit admits that it was duped by this Benjamin Lowell Scott douche. <\/p>\n

We at OVO deplore Stolen Valor. In the last few weeks, we came upon information that one of our recent appointed board members, Benjamin Lowell Scott, was not nor ever was a US Navy SEAL as he had portrayed to us. Mr. Scott was never awarded a purple heart and in fact never served a day in any military branch. Upon discovering that Mr. Scott was a complete fraud, we immediately removed him from our board and our organization. Our policies have been amended and we now require a DD214 and a criminal background check. Mr. Scott fooled us all and we are deeply sorry for our oversight. It will never happen again. We apologize for our obvious mistake in allowing such an individual to wear our logo and represent our organization. We are deeply embarrassed. We met Mr. Scott at our organization fundraiser where we asked all purple heart recipients to stand up and sign a flag box we were auctioning off. We have contacted the buyers of the flag boxes and offered them a full refund since the box was signed by 8 real heroes and one complete fraud. We have verified documentation to back up our claims. Mr. Scott is not affiliated with OVO in any way at this point nor will he ever.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What an absolute piece of shit. Here’s his arrest record for drug possession;<\/p>\n

That was in March of 2011, a few weeks later, he was picked up for parole violations. So he’s not real bright.<\/p>\n
