He has told them that he served in the Brown Water Navy in Vietnam. On that date, Briggs was still at Boot Camp in the Great Lakes Training Center. The following month he was assigned to the USS Franklin Delano Roosevelt which was in the Atlantic at the time. Clearly an error, or he added it, but he didn&#8217;t earn it.
