Hong Kong does indeed have an extradition treaty with the US and is usually pretty quick to comply with requests. From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2013\/06\/22\/charges-reportedly-filed-against-nsa-secrets-leaker\/\">Fox News<\/a>; <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The three-count complaint includes &#8220;theft of government property,&#8221; &#8220;unauthorized communication of national defense information&#8221; and &#8220;willful communication of classified communications of intelligence information to an unauthorized person.&#8221; The latter two are charges under the Espionage Act.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Bill Nelson, a Florida Democrat and a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee who has been outspoken on the Snowden case, said Friday night, &#8220;I&#8217;ve always thought this was a treasonous act. Apparently so does the U.S. Department of Justice. I hope Hong Kong&#8217;s government will take him into custody and extradite him to the U.S.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/europe\/icelandic-businessman-says-he-has-plane-ready-in-hong-kong-to-bring-edward-snowden-to-iceland\/2013\/06\/21\/9aa993ba-da77-11e2-b418-9dfa095e125d_story.html\">Washington Post<\/a>, Icelandic businessman, Olafur Vignir Sigurvinsson, says that he has a plane standing by to take Snowden to Iceland.
