The two ladies involved in l\u2019affair Petraeus<\/em> seem to be finding out firsthand the truth of the above title.<\/p>\n

Looks as if the Army has decided to suspend the security clearance of Petraeus\u2019 alleged mistress, Paula Broadwell.<\/a>\u00a0 No specific reason was given for the suspension. \u00a0\u00a0However, based on what\u2019s come out I\u2019d guess it was the combination of alleged adultery and computer harassment.<\/p>\n

Both behaviors are kinda regarded as “no-no’s” for Army officers.\u00a0 Broadwell is a member of the US Army Reserve – a MI officer holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, to be precise.\u00a0 Having one\u2019s security clearance suspended is a significant issue impacting one\u2019s \u00a0ability to serve as a MI officer.<\/p>\n

However, at least one source is reporting that a recent search found\u00a0“substantial classified information” on a computer used by Broadwell<\/a>.\u00a0 That could also be the reason for the Army suspending her security clearance.\u00a0 Mishandling classified info is also a rather big “no-no” for an Army officer – especially an MI officer who presumably would definitely know better.<\/p>\n

Separately, MacDill AFB has apparently decided to suspend unrestricted base access privileges previously granted to Jill Kelley.\u00a0 No specific reason was given for this action either.<\/p>\n
