During his speech, Dimon talked about how New York City&#8217;s antibusiness policies were driving businesses away. The states that these businesses have gone to have a common trait; business friendly policies. To help illustrate his point, Dimon addressed the reduction in the number of JPMorgan employees in Manhattan matched by an increase in headcount at their Texas location.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>From The Post Millennial:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Speaking at the 2026 Hill and Valley Forum in Washington DC in late March, Jamie Dimon, the longtime CEO of JPMorgan Chase, spoke on how New York City&#8217;s &#8220;anti-business sentiment&#8221; is driving businesses away to more business-friendly states such as Texas.<\/p>\n<p>He said that JPMorgan&#8217;s headcount in Manhattan when he first started with the business was around 35,000 people. That number is now 26,000, he said. In contrast, the company&#8217;s headcount in Texas has boomed from 11,000 to 33,000.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#8220;Our head count in Manhattan when I got to JPMorgan was 35,000 and now is 26,000. Our head count in Texas started at 11,000, now it&#8217;s 33,000. And, you know, you could be any ideologue you want, but that&#8217;s the real world, and people vote with their feet and you can&#8217;t get mad at them.
