Fitness means he can do lots of physical stuff.<\/p>\n

Like stepping on his (we can’t say that on a kid-friendly site, now.)<\/p>\n

Mr. Markham apparently got incensed that people commented negatively about his looks. He publishes under the screen name of Malibu Fit Maxx<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always got comments about my face and appearance. Some of them were harsh. And to be honest, I didn\u2019t handle it well. I was new to being in the public eye and I didn\u2019t know how to handle the criticism,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of facing that right away, I made a bad decision and put \u2018IED Survivor\u2019 in my bio. That was not true and it was wrong. But truly I\u2019m sorry from the bottom of my heart,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What’s worse, is that Mr. Markham DID serve. 2005-1010, as he says. He is pretty non-specific about it, merely saying he was “in the military” or referring to “military service” rather than using grown-up words like “Army” or “Marines”. The Sun in the UK says army, but with a lower-case a, so I tend not to credit that report as strictly factual. The Sun<\/a><\/p>\n

It’d be nice for him to set the record verifiably straight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always tried to promote positivity and support for others, especially veterans. But I understand that my actions here contradict that. I take full responsibility for it,\u201d he said later in the video, before telling his followers that he hopes to eventually regain their trust. People<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gotta give him some credit for coming out, admitting it, and apologizing. That in itself is more than a huge chunk of Walts and SV folks ever do in their lives.<\/p>\n

But –\u00a0 I find it hard to believe that someone could serve 5 years in any<\/em> branch and get upset over being called less than handsome? Man, if you’re ugly as a mud fence and make a train take a dirt road – OWN IT. Don’t blame it on some chickenshit’s IED.<\/p>\n
