Armed robbery leads to double shooting in Milwaukee; suspect killed<\/strong>

\nMILWAUKEE \u2014 A suspect was killed just after 11 a.m. Friday in an exchange of gunfire during an armed robbery in the 2600 block of W. Townsend Street in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

The suspects attempted to rob the victim at which time gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and the victim.<\/p>\n

One suspect, a 21-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries. The victim, a 20-year-old, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee Police are seeking an additional unknown suspect.<\/p>\n

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A man arrested on the Fourth of July in Osceola County is accused of burglarizing a woman\u2019s house before being shot by the homeowner\u2019s son, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. to the home along Deer Run Road, where the homeowner\u2019s son was holding the alleged burglar \u2014 Mitchell Platt, 37 \u2014 at gunpoint after shooting him in the leg.<\/p>\n

The homeowner\u2019s son had noticed a rear door was left open and armed himself with a revolver after then entering the home and reportedly hearing strange noises, the Osceola County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a news release.<\/p>\n

After the man called out to see if anyone else was in the home, Platt allegedly emerged from a hallway and charged toward him, prompting the man to fire a single shot into Platt\u2019s leg, the release states.<\/p>\n

The man who fired the shot was not injured, investigators said.<\/p>\n

Platt faces charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling and possession of burglary tools, records show. He was hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, released, arrested, and is being held on no bond at the time of this writing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
