Man charged after allegedly robbing off-duty officer<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) \u2014 A 19-year-old man has been charged with robbery and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly robbing an off-duty Niagara Falls police officer and stealing his car in North Buffalo on Thursday.<\/p>\n

According to Buffalo Police, Dorian Jones, 19, allegedly robbed the officer near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Hertel Avenue by showing what appeared to be a handgun while taking the victim\u2019s vehicle \u2013 a 2010 Mercedes. The vehicle contained one of the victim\u2019s children, age 13, while a second juvenile, 15, was outside of the vehicle with the victim. Buffalo Police said the off-duty officer shot the suspect during the robbery attempt.<\/p>\n

Jones was located on Wilbury Place, police said, and was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening wounds. The vehicle was retrieved around the corner on Wilbury Place and the 13-year-old juvenile was safely located. A pellet gun was also found, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) \u2013 Roswell police are investigating a shooting as self-defense after one person was killed Friday night. Police were called near Montana Avenue and College Boulevard, finding 27-year-old Alvin Sedillo unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

\nPolice believe Sedillo threatened a man and his girlfriend with a gun, asking for their phones, and other personal items, and demanding to be driven to another location. When the men refused, police say Sedillo shot at the two, who returned fire.<\/p>\n

Sedillo was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead by medics. Police say the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
