Man shot at after attempting to break into Anderson Co. home<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) \u2013 The Anderson County Sheriff\u2019s Office said a person was shot after attempting to break into a home.<\/p>\n

The incident happened on Don Avenue, deputies said.<\/p>\n

The suspect reportedly walked into the house, and when the homeowners spotted them, they ran from the scene.<\/p>\n

The homeowners shot at the suspect but did not hit them, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Deputies stated that they now have the suspect in custody, whose identity has not been released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nLAKE WALES, Fla. (WFLA) \u2014 A shooting in Lake Wales ended with the shooter walking free and the man with a gunshot wound behind bars.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHe actually had my daughter\u2019s book bag on,\u201d John Coles said.<\/p>\n

It was just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when Coles said he woke up to the sound of his dog barking.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I looked out of my room door from my bed, I seen a Caucasian male literally peeking down the steps,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

A stranger was inside of his home.<\/p>\n

Lake Wales police identified the man as 34-year-old Cameron McGuire.<\/p>\n

They said he entered the home through the kitchen window.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
