Sheriff: Man shot in head outside girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s house in St. Pete<\/strong>
\nThe man who called 911 claims he shot 39-year-old Matthew Weisner in self-defense.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 Pinellas County deputies found 39-year-old Matthew Weisner shot in the head outside his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s house in St. Petersburg. Now, they’re working to determine if the shooter acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened around 8:37 p.m. on Sept. 4 on 79th Street N at 54th Avenue N.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the evening, Weisner was with his girlfriend, 38-year-old Amber Souza, at her house in Pinellas Park. Detectives said the couple had been drinking alcohol and arguing when “Weisner began contacting Souza’s previous boyfriends out of jealousy.”<\/p>\n

At one point Weisner called Souza’s ex-boyfriend, 36-year-old Michael McMann, and began yelling at him while threatening to harm him with a firearm, according to the sheriff’s office. Weisner also reportedly said he was driving to McMann’s home.<\/p>\n

When Weisner showed up in his black Chevrolet pickup truck, Michael McMann was not home, but his brother, 30-year-old Austin McMann was.<\/p>\n

Austin told detectives he did not know who Weisner was but thought he may have been in a car accident due to the speed and angle at which he pulled up to the house. Weisner was stopped partially on the property and partially on the road.<\/p>\n

Austin reportedly went outside with his own firearm and demanded that Weisner leave. That’s when, according to detectives, Weisner started yelling and reached into the center console of his truck.<\/p>\n

“Austin heard a sound he felt was consistent with the racking of a gun slide and saw corresponding movement,” the sheriff’s office wrote.<\/p>\n

Detectives said Austin then fired multiple shots at Weisner, claiming he was in fear for his life. Austin went back inside the house and called 911.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mr. Weisner’s injuries as reported are not survivable.<\/p>\n

\nPHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A man was shot in the Old City section of Philadelphia late Wednesday night, and police sources say he may have been trying to commit a robbery at the time.<\/p>\n

Investigators are still working to figure out all of the details. They are also still looking to speak with the shooter.<\/p>\n

It happened around 11:30 p.m. near 2nd and Chestnut streets.<\/p>\n

Investigators say it all began when the shooting victim, identified as 33-year-old Michael Clemens, approached the driver’s side of a vehicle on 2nd Street.<\/p>\n

When the door opened, police say surveillance video shows Clemens collapse to the ground after being shot.<\/p>\n

Police say at least five shots were fired. The shooter then drove away.<\/p>\n

A gun was found near Clemen’s lifeless body, though they aren’t sure if the gun was used in the shooting.<\/p>\n

Officials say surveillance footage has proven to be helpful, adding that it happened right in front of several businesses as locals and tourists who were eating and hanging out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
