Man shot by deputies in Quinlan<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Lone Oak man was wounded and later hospitalized after exchanging gunfire with Hunt County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday night at the scene of a reported burglary near Quinlan, according to the Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Dillon Paul Rogers, 29, faces multiple counts of aggravated assault in connection with the incident, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He had not been formally charged as of Friday morning. Rogers remained hospitalized Friday morning, recovering from his injuries, according to Hunt County Sheriff Terry Jones.<\/p>\n

“He’s going to be okay,” Jones said. “He will likely be in there for a few days.”<\/p>\n

Sheriff’s deputies responded at 3:35 p.m. Thursday to a burglary call in the 1200 block of County Road 3619 in Quinlan, and they took a burglary report at that time, according to the Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

At about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office received a call that the suspect was back at the location and had fired a gun at the complainant.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived, the suspect shot at an officer. Deputies returned fire, and the suspect was hit, according to the Sheriff’s Office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHarris County deputies said they believe the victims were targeted but they are not sure why. They’re also canvassing this neighborhood for surveillance video.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nHARRIS COUNTY, Texas \u2014 Two men in body armor kicked in a family\u2019s front door claiming to be Houston police officers during a deadly home invasion robbery at a Katy-area home late Thursday, according to the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

This happened just before 11:30 p.m. at a home on Windmoor Drive near Fry and Morton roads in west Harris County.
\nHarris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said one of the homeowner’s adult sons got up to see what was happening. <\/p>\n

That is when one of the men opened fire on the son. The sheriff said the man inadvertently shot his partner. The wounded man dropped his handgun as he tried to run from the home.<\/p>\n

The sheriff said the son picked up the gun and began shooting at the men as they ran away, killing one of them. The one that had been wounded escaped with a getaway driver in a dark-colored sedan.<\/p>\n

There was a total of three people, the homeowner, and her two sons, at the home when this all happened.<\/p>\n

Deputies said they believe the victims were targeted but they are not sure why. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
