Shooting at Cocoa apartments involving officer, security guard, leaves man wounded<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA 51-year-old man who apparently fired shots at a Cocoa police officer and at an apartment security guard Thursday afternoon was wounded during the confrontation, investigators said.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened at about 3:20 p.m. at the Village Green apartment complex in the 1700 block of Dixon Boulevard in Cocoa. The suspect, Dexter Bray, was treated by paramedics from the Cocoa Fire Department then airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne for treatment. He was in stable condition Friday morning with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The unnamed officer and a security guard were taken to the Cocoa Police Department headquarters for debriefing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nTwo robbery suspects were shot and killed by a jewelry store owner during a robbery attempt inside a Florida shopping mall, and two other suspects are being sought, police said.<\/p>\n

The robbery occurred at the Magic Mall in Orlando when four suspects robbed a jewelry booth with at least one of them armed, the Orlando Police Department told Fox News.<\/p>\n

“The store owner shot at the suspects,” police said in a statement. “One suspect was found deceased on scene. The three other suspects fled in a vehicle that was later found at a nearby location.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Intruder shot, killed during Detroit home invasion, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

Detroit police say they are investigating a fatal home invasion near Stanley Street and Loraine Street in the city.<\/p>\n

Police say the intruder had a relationship with the homeowner and was asked to leave. Officers say around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, the man attempted to return to the home through a front window.<\/p>\n

According to police, someone inside the home fired several shots at the man and he was struck and killed. Police are calling the incident “domestic in nature.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
