Woman catches her own robbers by crashing into their car, Illinois police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA woman helped catch those who robbed her by crashing into their car, Illinois authorities said.<\/p>\n

The woman in Peoria was in a parking lot near her vehicle when five women approached her just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Peoria Police Department said in a news release.<\/p>\n

The group attacked the woman and stole several items from inside her vehicle before fleeing the scene, officials said.<\/p>\n

The woman chased them, crashing into their vehicle at an intersection, police said.<\/p>\n

One woman suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash, the release said.<\/p>\n

Police said they arrested five women, ranging from 18 to 22 years old.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One dead after deputy-involved shooting in Greenville County<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOne person is dead and no officers were injured in a Wednesday morning officer-involved shooting, according to Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis.<\/p>\n

The Sheriff’s Office had confirmed earlier Wednesday morning that deputies responded to 4307 Edwards Rd. in Taylors around 10 a.m. to serve a warrant for a man suspected of threatening his ex-girlfriend, which ultimately resulted in the officer-involved shooting.<\/p>\n

The warrant service was based on a call from a woman who said an ex-boyfriend had sent her pictures of a firearm and threatened to harm her. Deputies responded to the Edwards Rd. address with a warrant issued for “unlawful communications.”<\/p>\n

Lewis said that deputies tried to stop the suspect, who was in a vehicle, but he did not cooperate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tuscarawas deputies kill armed man at Mineral City home<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMINERAL CITY ? Deputies fatally shot a 43-year-old man who fired a handgun at them Wednesday morning outside a home in Mineral City, according to Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis Campbell.<\/p>\n

He said Everett M. Martin was killed in the exchange.<\/p>\n

The sheriff said the confrontation happened after deputies were called at 9:25 a.m. to a home on East Third Street by a woman who said a man was at her home in violation of a protection order.<\/p>\n

“She was hiding inside the residence in fear,” Campbell said. “The initial deputies got on scene. They ended up having to locate the guy in a back, fenced-in area. Some of them had to climb over the fence to get in. He said he had a weapon.”<\/p>\n

The deputies tried to de-escalate the situation, the sheriff said. Two different deputies spoke to him, trying to get him to calm down.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
