1. Be average<\/strong><\/p>\n

When asked what you did in the military, you could respond, \u201cI was an operator downrange.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah\u2026 a Motor Transport Operator.\u201d<\/p>\n

If someone asks you if you\u2019ve ever killed anyone tell them, \u201cI was a cook\u2026 so yeah, probably.\u201d Works just as well for being a medic or corpsman.<\/p>\n

2. Age\/rank match<\/strong><\/p>\n

A general in his 20s would be legendary, don’t stand out.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Grooming regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Operator’s beard = yes, combined with beer gut = no.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Uniform<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don’t be “that guy.”<\/p>\n

The answers must make sense. The Navy has jets, but the Air Force doesn\u2019t have ships. You can\u2019t be with the 82nd<\/sup>\u00a0Airborne and stationed on Parris Island. Navy Seals don\u2019t drive tanks. You can\u2019t be a pilot and a sniper. It simply does not add up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
