Boston police officer stabbed in neck; suspect shot, killed by police<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Boston police officer was stabbed in the neck by a man who was fatally shot by another officer, the superintendent-in-chief of the police department said.<\/p>\n

Police rushed to a triple-decker home at 27 Ingleside St. in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood around 6:15 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report of a domestic violence situation inside the residence.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, the responding officers encountered the suspect on the third floor landing of the house. The suspect, a 37-year-old man, immediately assaulted them with a knife and stabbed one of them in the neck.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nHARRIS COUNTY, Texas \u2014 An armed suspect was shot and killed after an overnight SWAT standoff that went on for six hours in a northwest Houston neighborhood, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

HCSO Maj. Susan Cotter said officers responded to multiple calls about 6:20 p.m. Saturday about a man armed with a 12-guage shotgun in the 11700 block of Moonglow Drive. Deputies were told the suspect was walking down the street and threatening people with the weapon, she said.<\/p>\n

“There were children out playing at the time,” Cotter said. “He was acting very erratic.”<\/p>\n

Investigators are awaiting a toxicology report to determine whether drugs were a factor. They said it doesn’t seem the suspect fired his weapon at any residents.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the 34-year-old suspect barricaded himself inside a yard in front of a trailer when officers got to the scene. Cotter said he was seen going in and out of the trailer, as well as walking around the yard.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wife Says She Shot And Killed Husband After He Beat Her<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Deltona woman shot and killed her husband Saturday afternoon, telling sheriff\u2019s detectives she fired in self-defense after he punched and choked her several times in their home.<\/p>\n

Deputies responded to the shooting shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday at 2801 Bluestone Drive, Deltona, after the shooter, 47-year-old Michelle Benz (DOB 9\/18\/1974), reported it.<\/p>\n

Benz\u2019s husband, 35-year-old Kyle Benz, was pronounced deceased at the scene. (Note: Kyle Benz\u2019s name was Kyle Gambill prior to legally changing to his wife\u2019s last name in 2020.)<\/p>\n

Michelle Benz cooperated in the investigation and recounted past incidents of domestic violence that she said were never reported. Today, she said, her husband choked and hit her several times in the home, leading her to pull a gun from her purse and fire at him multiple times.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
