Police: Resident scuffles with burglar caught in the act in Redding<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Redding resident got into a scuffle with a burglar caught in the act late Tuesday. The suspect who was arrested was 24-year-old, Geoffrey McKay of Klamath Falls, Oregon.<\/p>\n

Redding police say the victim had returned home Tuesday before 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Polk Street. Police said the resident found a man inside the home getting ready to take off with stolen items. The suspect reportedly assaulted the victim and the two fought before the intruder took off.<\/p>\n

Police said they located McKay running through the neighborhood and he resisted arrest. They used a K9 to take him into custody.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
