The state overwhelmingly passed a ballot proposition (Prop 12, 2018, which passed by 62% to 37%) to increase the space afforded to certain livestock animals. That proposition is now set to come into effect, but there&#8217;s a problem. Now they&#8217;ll be paying the price, literally.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that for the rest of us this means that there will be a glut of pork. California consumes 15% of the country&#8217;s pork and that will now be dumped on the rest of us. Sweet!
