\nFARMINGDALE, NY \u2014 An Amityville man was arrested after he tried to rob Ralph’s Italian Ices in Farmingdale on Thursday afternoon, Nassau police said.<\/p>\n

Vincent Baxter, 21, approached a female employee, 53, at Ralph’s Italian Ices at 850 Main St. and passed a note demanding money, police said. The woman refused and chased Baxter onto Frank Avenue, police said. Baxter broke off a flagpole on the storefront and faced the woman, police said. Baxter then dropped the flag and fled, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
