Cesar Millan said the problem doesn’t lie with Major, but the situation and people the dog is surrounded by’<\/em><\/p>\n

There’s a hairy situation brewing at the\u00a0White House.<\/p>\n

High-profile dog experts are speaking out about what they believe is really causing\u00a0President\u00a0Biden’s\u00a0dog\u00a0Major\u00a0to act out after he reportedly bit two people at the White House in recent weeks, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Cesar Millan, known for the Emmy-nominated television series “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan,” described the White House environment as “a place full of tension.” He said the problem doesn’t lie with Major, but the situation and people the dog is surrounded by.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not the dog,” he told Politico. “What Major is saying is that he doesn\u2019t feel safe yet. And if he doesn\u2019t feel safe, he can\u2019t trust. And if he can\u2019t trust, he can\u2019t feel calm.”<\/p>\n

Professional dog trainer\u00a0Larry Krohn said\u00a0a\u00a0dog’s behavior, whether it’s good or bad, is created\u00a0in the environment that the canine lives in. “Where it spends its time. The people it spends its time with,” he said.<\/p>\n

Krohn added that behavior comes out of fear and insecurities, which he said\u00a0is typical in the German shepherd breed — like Major,\u00a0“especially when it\u2019s not a well-bred dog.”<\/p>\n

“And you can\u2019t punish that out of a dog … you can\u2019t treat that out of a dog,” he said,\u00a0according to Politico. “You have to change the mindset of the dog to where they feel comfortable and confident in their own skin and they trust the people around them.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Then…<\/p>\n

“When the dog bites one time, it\u2019s something people need to take a look at,” Silverman told Politico.\u00a0“When you have the owner \u2014 I don\u2019t care if you\u2019re the president of the United States or you\u2019re just an average dog trainer like myself \u2014 if you are answering a question and blowing off an issue about the biting, that\u2019s a problem. That\u2019s a red flag.”<\/p>\n
