NBC Los Angeles and several other news outlets are reporting that six people were arrested for altering the famous HOLLYWOOD sign to read “HOLLYBOOB.”<\/p>\n

Six People Arrested for Altering Hollywood Sign to Read \u2018Hollyboob’<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

A half-dozen people were taken into custody Monday, shortly after police said they altered the “w” and “d” of the Hollywood sign to make the famous landmark read “Hollyboob.”<\/p>\n

The group affixed large apparent tarps to the sign to change the letters, according to Sgt. Leonard Calderon of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Station, who said participants told an officer they did so to raise awareness of breast cancer.<\/p>\n

“They didn’t commit any permanent damage,” Calderon said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police say they threw a tarp with the letter “B” over the “W,” and a white dash was used to turn the “D” into a “B.”<\/p>\n

The group, consisting of five men and one woman, were not cited for vandalism since there was no damage to the sign.<\/p>\n

“BOOB” went back to “WOOD” in very little time.<\/p>\n

The lone woman was reported to be model Julia Rose.<\/p>\n
