I’m sure y’all remember the Stolen Valor Bobbsey Twins, Rick Jowers and Leroy Foley. Both were running for Sheriff of Callahan County, Texas, and both were outed for embellishing their military service. Both have resigned from the race, and neither are now employed at the Callahan County Sheriff’s Office.

Taylor Co. Sheriff’s Office Sgt. withdraws from Callahan Co. Sheriff’s race

ABILENE, Texas — A sergeant with the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office took his hat out of the race for Callahan County Sheriff.
Sgt. Cliff Griffin said Thursday that he withdrew his name from consideration for the Republican Party nomination.
“The decrease in pay I would take has proved to be too high and without a secondary income would prove to be a tremendous burden upon my family,” said Griffin. “I am lucky to currently be working for an outstanding organization that has treated me amazingly well and has given me the opportunity for a great future within it.”
Griffin would take a $16,000 pay cut as sheriff.
Callahan Country Sheriff’s salary: $40,574.53
Current salary: $56,500
Former Chief Deputy Rick Jowers won the Republican primary in March, but withdrew his name amid a stolen valor allegation.
A write-in candidate could file to run between July 27 and Aug. 25.
At least he’s quitting for monetary reason, not embellishing his military service, if any. Seems Callahan County should consider sweetening the Sheriff’s salary to attract more qualified candidates. Maybe they could throw a Chili cook-off. Read the entire article here: KTXS

The local Callahan county GOP has so fucked this up that they really do deserve a Berzerkly-bred Bernie Bro Marxist as the local sheriff. Easy. I made a lot of tips as a deputy. I still have my brass knuckles too, they helped me make my tips. Just imagine how many tips my deputies would bring in if I was the sheriff. I get a cut. I can not wait to tell my deputy stories and how we made tips.

The more I think about it, these two losers could go to work for “Turd” Bolling and Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency (both National and International).
Their skill set is probably on par with what Turd has on the payroll.
