Michael Moore’s New Docudrama

| April 29, 2020

Michael Moore

Leftist ‘documentary’ filmmaker Michael Moore is once again sounding the alarm on climate change. This time, however, he is blaming his fellow environmentalists, saying that efforts like solar energy and electric cars are not helping to solve the problem, and that the planet is in “deep, deep trouble.”

The movie highlights the failures of the mainstream environmental movement, assigning blame to corporate interests as well as solar and wind energy companies and electric car manufacturers, who the movie claims rely too much on fossil fuels and deforestation.

Can’t have it both ways.

GREEN BROWNSHIRTS STRIKE AT MICHAEL MOORE

BY JOHN HINDERAKER

Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore has produced a documentary called Planet of the Humans. The film (which I haven’t yet seen) is basically an attack on “green” energy, i.e., wind and solar. Moore comes at the issue from a far-left perspective:

Michael Moore presents Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day — that we are losing the battle to stop climate change on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road — selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America. This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It’s too little, too late.

Removed from the debate is the only thing that MIGHT save us: getting a grip on our out-of-control human presence and consumption. Why is this not THE issue? Because that would be bad for profits, bad for business. Have we environmentalists fallen for illusions, “green” illusions, that are anything but green, because we’re scared that this is the end—and we’ve pinned all our hopes on biomass, wind turbines, and electric cars?

Despite his loony point of view, Moore is right about wind and solar: they are intermittent, unreliable, ridiculously expensive, and bad for the environment. That message was too much for the lavishly funded “green” establishment, which has responded by trying to shut Moore up and ban his film:

This is great news. Cheers to @joshfoxfilm and everyone who worked hard and quickly to make sure this dangerous film was retracted.https://t.co/OpDtkdJeU0

I think Moore actually made a decent documentary once, Roger and Me. His subsequent films have gotten more left and weirder than the one prior, to the point he’s come full circle, and eats his own. Read the entire article here: Powerline Blog
Thanks, Poe.

I did not realize he was still relevant.

Nothing to see here.

Moving on.

Team America got him right:

I just love the progressive intramural battles. I think they should really go at each other with all their might.

FIGHT!! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!!

Eating their own is becoming part and parcel of the left. Hopefully it’ll continue, it’s entertaining to watch a bunch of virtue signaling, narcissistic, self absorbed, jack-a-lopes destroy each other.

“The film (which I haven’t yet seen)…..”

And which I will never bother to see. I’ve moved on to Green Thumb’s place. We’re sitting on the front porch, having a frosty beverage.

‘Pears as if Mikey is holding to form. He’ll eat anything…and has eaten everything.

marinedad61

5th/77th FA,
Have you seen this?
Geez, it’s almost 20 years now,
when this movie was filmed down the road.
Lucky Numbers is a lottery ball fix movie,
with John Travolta as a TV weatherman,
Lisa Kudrow (Friends) as the TV Lottery ball bimbo, and
Michael Moore as her cousin, the straw man lottery winner.
He got greedy, and hid the ticket.
Watch Michael Moore die here.
lol

Hadn’t seen this one md61, Tanks for the laff. This POS is another one whose obit I will read with some glee. That fat bastard has been a mouth breathing waste of oxygen for decades. He was one of the reasons I quit watching SNL so long ago. Faawk heem. Never thought too much of John Revolting or the yuppie puppies on friends. Woulda hit some of the Ms Thangs on that show, but didn’t watch it either.

That was from the movie “An American Carol” where Kelsey Grammar slaps the shit out of him as well!!

Algore is a liar…

Bill Mckibbon is a liar…

Michael Mann is a liar…

Paul Ehrlich is a liar…

Fatty Moore is a liar…

Tom Steyer is a liar and a hypocrite…

Ira Einhorn is a liar and a murderer…

Bottom line, these envirogrifters are all liars, hypocrites, and/or murderers…

A Proud Infidel®™

IF Al Gore Junior is SUCH an environmentalist, then WHY don’t any of his lavish mansions have even a single solar cell?

Combat Historian

His excuse is that he purchased carbon offsets for all his luxury mansions. This is the modern proggy equivalent of purchasing indulgences from the Catholic Church, and is practiced in general by progs in the form of continuous virtue signaling. The leftists are really good at that…

11B-Mailclerk

Oh it is better than that.

He bought the carbon offsets,

(Wait for it)

from an offset company he owns.

Moves money from right pocket to left. Signals virtue.

Green Thumb

I will take Al Gore over Micheal Moore any day.

At least he invented the internet.

Micheal “Fat Ass” Moore invented and patented the “Loose Asshole”.

Green Thumb

He actually did.

If I remember correctly, back in Tennessee somewhere he has a house or farm or such.

The media was hitting him hard about his power bill. Somehow, the bill fell into the hands of the media. The bill was quite large and they wondered how a “climate change” and environmental guy could waste so much power.

The bill was a result of them installing solar panels. Somehow it (right or wrong) fell under power compliance or such and was annotated on the bill.

Odd, huh?

Al Gore Junior owns multiple mansions and properties that he inherited from his Father and one of the properties has a large zinc mine on it.

A Proud Infidel®™️

If “climate change” is real, then why do rich celebrities STILL own and live in beachfront homes?

Poetrooper

And own multiple energy-eating mansions all with huge heated pools?

And fly in atmosphere-polluting private jets?

And drive the largest SUV’s and ride in long, long limousines?

And on and on and on…

You forgot about the ultra-huge motor yachts that they jet-set around in as well!

God I love the Babylon Bee. Like the Onion, but even better, sharper.

The Other Whitey

That little logical quandary has nagged at me for quite a while, along with the question of how super-rich celebrities who travel in private jets and eat five-star meals every day demand the we plebeians reduce our “carbon footprint” and suggest that we should start eating cockroach milk (not making that up, by the way).

The logical answer is that it’s not about the environment, but rather about establishing and maintaining themselves as an elite class above the rest of us.

A Proud Infidel®™

YOU MEAN the ultra-rich celebrities who will have a helicopter pick them up from their multimillion dollar yachts or beachfront mansions, take them to a private jet where they’re flown someplace, met by an expensive stretch limousine which takes them to a high dollar hotel suite bigger than most single family homes, then taken by copter or limo to some public appearance where they tell all of us to eat bean sprouts and ride the bus?

JacktheJarhead

I am finishing the last book in a series from an author, Tom Kratman. It is from the series that started with a Desert Called Peace. He addresses this VERY topic. You hit the nail on the head. They are Our Elite Overlords and we should all bow and scrape for them. I say we build gallows and start them cranking.

Mason

You can milk a cockroach?

The Other Whitey

I thought it was bullshit, but apparently it’s a thing. Some leftist shitheads are trying to promote it as a “superfood” or some shit.

Mason

You failed me. I was looking for “You can milk anything with nipples.”

Poetrooper

Yeah, but ya gotta use some really tiny tweezers…

It’s truly entertaining to watch the screeching left tear each other apart over whose cause is more holy than the other. Rebels without a clue.

So…….how much energy and materials did Michael Moorlock use in the production, manufacturing, and distribution of this propaganda?
Can you say, “hypoctite”? I KNEW you could, boys and girls.

HT3 '83-'87

Phuque him! That lesbian trucker look-a-like is just another source of hot, obnoxious gas being released into the atmosphere. I listen to him like I listen to Leo DiCaprio…which is to say not at all. I don’t like a guy that lounges about on an oil tycoon’s yacht between trips on private jets to pick up environmental awards to lecture me about how I should live my life. Phuque him too!!!

This cocksucker needs to do a documentary on how to lop off 80 or 90 pounds in record time. The fat ass son of a bitch.

Maybe if he cut back to a couple of pork roasts a day he could at least break even for a while.

He’s nothing more than queer bait for fat fags.

rgr1480

…do a documentary on how to lop off 80 or 90 pounds in record time….

Errrr … cut off his head?

[legal disclaimer: said in jest paraphrasing an oooold joke entitled, “How to loose 25 pounds of ugly fat in a single day.”]

Sparks

Michael Moore is living proof that turds can climb out of the outhouse and when they do, liberals will be there to help them and listen to their shithouse tales.

Martinjmpr

I haven’t had this much trouble choosing sides since the Iran-Iraq war.

Mason

I can agree with him for once. Wind turbines, solar, and electric vehicles are all just feel good things for environmentalists that do nothing to actually help and likely increase pollution.

Deckie

God what a hideous fuck….

If it weren’t for extremely stupid people and an impressionable youth with no desire to fact check anything they’re spoonfed nobody would be willing to watch his bullshit movies.

Wilted Willy

When will these morons figure out the key to saving the planet is to start running all of our cars and trucks on propane? It has many benefits, it burns clean because it has no carbon in it, you have more power with propane and last but not least, your engine will run for 500K miles and still look brand new? All of this climate shit is a load of crap, take a look at the solar storms, that is what controls our weather! Now may Lars tell me how wrong I am??

11B-Mailclerk

Propane is a hydrocarbon. It is C3H8

Hydrogen (H2) has no carbon.

Hondo

A massive increase in nuclear plant capability, coupled with a coincident massive increase in hydrogen gas production capability (which requires either high temperature or massive quantities of electricity, either of which can be supplied by a nuclear reactor) would indeed theoretically replace the need for hydrocarbon fuels.

The catch is that long-term exposure to gaseous hydrogen is seriously bad news for many common metals and plastics – including those used in most internal combustion engines. So a massive effort to develop materials resistant to hydride formation (and subsequent degradation) and/or other chemical degradation due to prolonged exposure to gaseous hydrogen would also be required.

11B-Mailclerk

All fuels have issues.

Gasoline is a spectacularly hazardous fuel, but folks are so accustomed to it most think nothing of keeping 10+ gallons inside their homes, often with a gallon inside a simple container that -maybe- they remember to close properly after mowing the lawn.

The current 10% adulteration of gasoline with ethanol isn’t too destructive of most modern cars. The proposed change to 15%, however would ruin a significant number of older cars, which is the unspoken reason some folks support it.

All fuels have tradeoffs. Many alternatives have new opportunities for rent-seeking and outright graft, thus the mandates.

Hondo

You are correct in saying that all fuels have trade offs. None are perfect; even “clean” electricity has to be produced, which requires either a huge, expensive, and environmentally disruptive infrastructure (wind farms/solar/hydro) or the use of polluting fuels (hydrocarbon or nuclear).

The biggest advantage current hydrocarbon fuels have is the infrastructure supporting them (pipeline/storage/transport) and our long experience in both handling them and manufacturing engines that use them. My point was that hydrogen gas could replace them at much lower environmental cost. Contrary to the specious claims of the “no nukes” nuts, nuclear is both safe as well as the cleanest and least polluting method of producing energy; and there is no technical problem with waste storage and disposal (political issues have prevented us doing so). Plus, burning hydrogen gas is virtually pollution free.

However, the trade off is that the conversion would also require a ton of R&D effort to produce the materials and/or new technology (e.g., reliable and reasonably-priced fuel cells) needed to take advantage of same, plus retrofit the existing distribution infrastructure. That would be hugely expensive.

At some point, I’d guess mankind will indeed go that route when it becomes economically feasible. But I’d also guess that won’t happen in my lifetime.

We have hydroelectric power which is truly emissions-free, but the eco-kooks wand destruction of all dams do that fish can move freely, no joke!

26Limabeans

One of my EE professors once
called Hydro “elegant” and in
harmony with nature.
He played a major role in the
design of Hydro dams for the
Maine paper industry.

JustALurkinAround

Completely agree. All your propane needs can be met by the good folks at Strickland Propane here in gorgeous Arlen, TX.

26Limabeans
David

Propane has less energy than gasoline, not more. Takes about 1.4 ish gallons of propane to equal a gallon of gas. It emits less than gasoline engines so it is cleanER but it is not clean.

26Limabeans

Propane is a byproduct of refining gasoline.
It used to be a waste product and the refineries
burned it off as such. I recall the orange flames
from tall stacks.

Propane doesn’t wash the cylinder walls like gasoline
thus better lubrication and much longer life.
Those Generac home units are selling like crazy.

A Proud Infidel®™

You’re right about the Generac units, Mrs. A Proud Infidel®™ and I got one for A Proud Infidel®™ Manor and it proved its worth last week when a storm knocked the power out for a few hours!

26Limabeans

My neighbors are all buying them as
we live in a sometimes inaccessable
(to power company) area. They love
them. I installed a 22KW diesel with
275 gallon fuel tank many years ago.
I run it on home heating oil which is
number 2 oil (diesel) with red dye to
please the tax man. Manual switch over
which is now illegal but I lock out
and tag the Mains at the meter. I am
well aware of the need to protect the
linemen but I am considering a Generac
before I go Joe Biden and hurt myself 🙂

Hondo

Correct you are, David.

Gasoline has an energy content of 114,761 BTU/gal. Propane LPG has roughly 82,816 BTU/gal.

The same is true when comparing gasoline to both methanol (56,562 BTU/gal) and ethanol (75,583 BTU/gal). This is why most automobile engines get better fuel economy using pure gasoline than the more common gasoline/alcohol mixture sold today.

Slow Joe

Wilted Willy

Yeah, but that’s the problem.
Your argument is based on CO2 being bad for the environment, which is not.

11B-Mailclerk

CO2 is plant food. We have already increased crop yields and overall planetary biomass.

Wilted Willy

Slow, I never said CO2 was bad, I agree, the tress love the stuff. And what do trees make you say? Good old oxygen that we all know and love! I just remember my good old Pa telling me 50 years ago about hydrogen engines would save the world and all that, just was too hard to get the fuel? I think Stanley had the right answer!!!

11B-Mailclerk

Popcorn?

Poetrooper

We should not get so caught up in our disdain for the fat-assed phony that we forget that even a blind pig like him can sniff out a truffle, and Moore has just unearthed the Hope Diamond of environmental truffles, to deep and bitter liberal chagrin.

Moore has broken ranks with the Greenies, showing their Holy Writ of Wind and Solar to be a total fraud: a corrupt, unsustainable and polluting hoax, what intelligent, common sense folks have been trying to tell the sky-is-falling Chicken-Liberals for years.

Do not lose sight of the fact that Climate Change, like abortion and globalism, is a foundational plank of current liberal dogma. When the technological underpinnings of their basic belief in how to counter Climate Change begin to weaken from internal challenge, the whole liberal coalition, already emitting some cracking sounds, begins to fracture.

Don’t forget, this green power desertion comes right on the heels of a global pandemic that has put seismic-scale lie to two other sacrosanct liberal doctrines, globalism and open borders. While liberals can be incredibly unwilling to face reality, this COVID-19 threat has no doubt caused many of them to question their previously unquestioning acceptance of these two planks of the Democrat platform.

No, the media and Democrat leaders won’t admit to the foolishness of these policies but what about those millions of Democrat voters who have no problem seeing the risk to their families from these inherently foolish policies given what we’ve all just witnessed?

As the saying goes, “Who they gonna believe, the liberal ideologues of their party or their own lyin’ eyes?

Never thought I’d write this, but “Thank you, Michael Moore!”

A Proud Infidel®™

I HEARD RUMOR that Michael Moore has scars from his last visit to the beach when he swam out too far and got harpooned by a boatload of Japanese Tourists!

26Limabeans

Gas station Sushi.

ArmyATC

I did break down and watched the film. It was interesting watching Jeff Gibbs destroy the hypocritical environazis. But anyone who had been paying attention knew more than a decade ago that the so-called environmental movement was more about greed and profit than the environment. At 9:58 in the film, Richard Branson spills the beans in an interview when asked, “Is Al Gore a prophet?” Branson sort of laughs and replies, “How do you spell profit?”

the film attempts to take on and destroy all the leftist environmental tropes from wind to solar to hydrogen. it quickly becomes apparent that the film is pushing one theme that the filmmaker feels sure can “save the planet,” population control. In the extreme, we are considered parasites feeding off Mother Earth. I couldn’t help but geta sick feeling, thinking about the eugenicists of the last century and the strict birth control practiced by the PRiCs.

Yes, the film is produced by Micheal Moore. But it’s free to watch on YouTube and worth the time to see where those extremists may go next in their efforts.

rgr769

So I guess Moore finally got something on the screen that wasn’t propaganda for the left since he did Roger and Me.

ArmyATC

I can’t say it isn’t propaganda for the left. The film does take on the corporate left while pushing more extreme leftist tropes such as population control. So, it’s still leftist, just a more extreme form.

Mason

I’ll never understand why people who think the world would be better with fewer humans don’t kill themselves.

I mean, I understand why they don’t, self harm isn’t natural, but if they truly believed it like they claim, we’d have coin operated suicide booths like in Futurama.
