Mom coughs in officer’s face as cops break up kid’s birthday bash, Alabama police say

BY TANASIA KENNEY
An Alabama woman was arrested on numerous charges Monday after police say she intentionally coughed in an officer’s face while mentioning the coronavirus.

Melanie Chambers, 39, of Andalusia was hosting a birthday bash for one of her children at her home Monday evening — a direct violation of the state’s “stay-at-home” order limiting public gatherings to 10 persons or less, according to an Andalusia Police Department release obtained by McClatchy News.

Authorities arrived to the Brewton Street residence after receiving reports of loud music to find 40 to 50 people partying inside, according to Police Chief Paul Hudson, and there was also an “odor of marijuana.”

Chambers, who’s renting the home, reportedly grew upset that police were there to bust up her soirée.

Just after 1 p.m., officers pulled over a gray Mercedes for speeding and a window tint violation on I-85, Grantville police Assistant Chief Cliff Schriefer told AJC.com. The driver was identified as Ulysses Bales Jr., 45, of Columbus.

He gave officers consent to search his car after police thought he was acting suspiciously, Bales said. The officers said they found the stash of cocaine in the car’s air intake along with hundreds of dollars in cash.

Four of a kind, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, with a bunch of party animals in the wind. When I violate the posted speed limit, I don’t have five pounds of Bolivian Marching Powder in my air vents. But that’s just me.

Thanks, Gun Bunny. The assist is much appreciated.

“…ooohh that smell…can’tcha smell that smell.” And some wonder why the ‘Rona is affecting minority communities.

“If you wanna hangout…if you wanna get down… down on the ground…..” HT to Clapton. 5 lbs of nose candy in the car? Yep, need to be in a mom mobile with the kids and Grandma…driving 4 mph above the speed limit. EVERY county in Georgia that an Interstate Hwy goes thru has a dedicated high speed, low drag pursuit vehicle with a sniffing fur missile. And yes, they will profile yo azz. Coweta County is midway between Columbus (Home of the Benning School for Wayward Children) and the ATL. The movie Macon County Line was filmed there, in part, and some of the scenes were based on true stories that happened there. Also was the home of Mr. Lewis Grizzard. Pretty sure our very own Commissioner Wretched has read everything that boy ever wrote.

Two more of the fine upstanding gentlemen from the Chitcongo of the South just having a slight disagreement on what time choir practice will be. Looking for a follow up on #3 for this linky. Claw, you might best wanna do a little FIRST Echelon Maintenance on the ol’ Whiz Wheel.

That is a “neat” little 9 shot stinger pocket rocket you gots there Mister. It’ll shore keep their heads down till you can pull something out with a little more knock down power. Least it ain’t Hondo fugly.

No surprises with Sister Golden Hair. She’s loaded for bear. I’d get bare with her.

Had one of their single shot 12 guage shotguns.
If your thumb slips off the hammer while cocking
but before the trigger is set it will go off.
Happened to me twice. Then I cut it up into
little pieces of slag and buried them.
It was a nice shotty but for that one flaw.

A short while ago I reported that I had once owned a High Standard .22 9 shot top break revolver. I was mistaken. It was an H&R top break. That was back in the late fifties or early sixties. I am sure some of you will understand.

There are a few 9 and 10 shot .22 revolvers out there but mostly single action.

Love the shots of pretty girls, but have to say, many of them look at the guns they are holding as if they were holding cottonmouths…

It is not good to have all of that powder caking up the intake. When he told his wife to throw some money at it, it did not think she would literally do it.
I am confused on what the young blond is patrolling with, since the AR-15 is slung behind her? Is that one of those 40Watt Plasma Rifles the Terminator was talking about, or some strange shotgun with a night scope?!
