Man shoots suspect after ‘fearing for his life’ in Bel Air, says Sheriff’s Office

by Bryna Zumer
BEL AIR, Md. (WBFF) – A man was injured in an overnight shooting in Bel Air, at an apartment complex off of Harford County’s Route 24.

Tyler Reid, 28, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body at about 12:59 a.m. on Foxhall Drive in the Calverts Walk complex, said the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators determined Reid, who doesn’t live at the location, got in an argument with his girlfriend, who lives there, said the Sheriff’s Office.

Jordan Ellison, 27, another resident, got involved in the altercation and Reid physically assaulted him, said the Sheriff’s Office.

Ellison fired a round at Reid with a rifle during the struggle, saying he was fearing for his life, said the Sheriff’s Office.

Not a fan of hanging lights or lasers from handguns, JMHO. Nice to see the Philly Po-Po will get involved when a robbery goes South and a bad guy becomes ventilated, so there is that. Bel Air, MD is a nice little town just North of Baltimore. I wouldn’t go there on a bet, unarmed.
So there we are, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, 1 / 2 / 0 to start the work week. Stay home, social distance if not, and wash those mitts.

Yup, the St Louis area (or as we called it, the DMZ) is competing with Chiraq.

Basically, stay out of St Louis except to go to Busch Stadium.

And for that, park the Metro lot at Scott AFB and take the train to the ball park.

Go straight back after the game.

Do not stay in St Louis…

Definitely do not get off of the train in East St Louis…

Well I know I’m late to formation so I’ll give an accounting of myself.

(1) It’s Monday
(2) I got sidetracked by some previously unseen episodes of Paladin AND Perry Mason.
(3) Reading of the St Charles MO article reminded me I have not made it to the Arch and due to the crime rate there may never will.
(4) The Philly thing? The po po won’t arrest common street thugs but will lock up a citizen defending his business? YGBSM (again) See Sunday’s FGS.
(5) The Baltimore story reminded me of the visit to the Chesapeake Bay Seafood Rest. and their all you can eat Shrimps and Crab Legs. The Manager came out and said we had had all we could eat. Good Times!
(6) Playing catchup from the overnight comments. I have arrived…Mick now hates me…along with AW1Ed. I’m in good company. It’s an honor coming from the #1 critic of a Top Naval Aviation Motion Picture.
(7) The trauma of seeing that gawdawful light hanging underneath that drop dead gorgeous example of JMB’s (Howitzer be his name) Model 1911. The Horror!

That is an abomination before the lord.

Nice 1911! Reminds me of my Commemorative Para Ordinance from my time with the 101st in Afghanistan. Except mine has dark grips like the safety and slide lock.

Q for information’s sake:
Say I had a nice new Springfield Defender 1911 (just for argument sake – not saying I actually have one – koff!koff!), with generic grips.

Would it be a Mortal Sin to my Immortal Soul to have a pair of grips 3D printed to replace the generic grips? Or is such a thing not even done, doable, and/or feasible (ie, too soft plastic)

Just asking, ya know.

Thx, ‘Ed,
I’ll pass this along to my l’il frien’.

I will say that the light looks wrong on the 1911
It is way oversize and takes away from the classic look of the gun.
I am a huge fan of crimson trace laser grips.
Especially for those of us with older eyes, they improve hit probability
