First date ends in a shootout for an Atlanta man

By Natalie Fultz
A man got into a shootout with a would-be robber inside his home in southwest Atlanta early Wednesday morning.

According to police, it all started after Tikoyo Lamonz Reeves met a woman on a dating website.

“We got the call in reference to a person shot in the 1400 block of Sherrie Lane around 2:30 a.m.,” Captain F. Turker said. “Once we arrived we found a 38-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg.”

According to police, Reeves invited the woman over. When she got there, she had a friend with her.

“Shortly after the women arrived, a man armed with a rifle snuck inside,” Turner said. “He was startled by the homeowner’s dog and that’s when the homeowner grabbed his gun and the two started shooting.”

According to police, the two women and the would-be robber took off.

“The victim told us he believes one of the women may have also been hit by a bullet,” Captain Turner said.

Police are searching for the two women and the would-be robber.

“This was a set up and we will be following leads to find out who these people are,” Captain Turner said.

Good Samaritans help bring down man accused of shooting at Fresno police officers

A couple of good Samaritans helped police stop a man accused of shooting at officers in Fresno.

Just after 5:30 pm Tuesday, Fresno Police were patrolling in the area of Belmont and Valeria when they spotted a 2006 Nissan speeding.

Officers tried to pull over the car, but the driver refused to stop and sped off.

The driver led police on a short chase and ended up crashing near Valeria and Grant.

After the crash, the driver hopped out of the car with a pump shotgun.

He then reportedly aimed it at the officers and began firing at them.

After firing a couple of rounds, he then turned around and started to run away from officers.

During this time, a good Samaritan was walking down the street and spotted the guy running toward him with a shotgun.

That good Samaritan turned out to be a CCW holder and pulled out his gun to defend himself.

He fired one time at the suspect, making him fall to the ground.

The suspect got back up and ran to a nearby apartment complex, where he tried to break into a unit.

Another good Samaritan saw what was going on and tackled the suspect.

He held the suspect down until officers could catch up and arrest him.

  1. Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman says:

I feel sorry for the teenager in the first story. Even though it was justified, he has to live with the fact that he killed a person. (a sub human person, but still, a person) And then there will be the reputation and notoriety, good and bad, that will follow him.
I hope that he can get counselling and help.
(maybe sue the families of the perps that invaded his house?)

    • Hondo says:

Agreed. Dealing with having to off a low-life would be harsh for any decent person – but it’s gonna be particularly hard on any decent kid who’s only 17.

    • MI Ranger says:

Especially since the choir boys families will probably try to sue them for interrupting their choir practice and bake sale. We need to change the court narrative from “he didn’t have to shoot him” to “he didn’t have to invade my home and attack me”! Hopefully he will get some good counselling.

  2. Hondo says:

Well, AW1Ed, you’ve finally managed to find some more gun pr0n.

Yeah, I read the review; it’s functional, well-made, and very accurate. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s also just plain butt-ugly. (smile)

  3. 5th/77th FA says:

Coupla DRTs, Coupla leakers, Coupla blinks to get the gun pr0n image out of my eyes, and we need a coupla spins of the Whiz Wheel! Give the kid a coupla attaboyz for taking out the trash. A coupla people telling him he done good will chase the guilt demons away.

Told y’all it was gonna be a good week.

The Whiz Wheel®™ spins up a couple of scores for the Dindonuffins who weren’t following the guidelines for “Physical Distancing.”

    Machavellia Syntour Bagsby (DRT) 45 x 3 = 135

    Taruss Miller (WRT) 14 x 2 = 28

    • rgr769 says:

Is Taruss pronounced like that Brazilian gun manufacturer? Or, would that be “Tayroos?” Machiavellia’s daddy’s baby-momma sure is creative when it comes to naming her spawn.
