POW’s are Liars – Jane Fonda to speak at Kent State on 50th anniversary of shootings.

| February 18, 2020

Hanoi Jane on North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun: A few hundred yards from the location of this photograph, American POWs were being subjected to all manner of torture at the “Hanoi Hilton.”

KENT — Jane Fonda is among the speakers tapped to mark the 50th anniversary of the Kent State shootings. The 82-year-old actress and activist will highlight four days of events the Ohio university has planned to explore the lasting impacts of the events of May 4, 1970, which were considered pivotal in turning public sentiment against the Vietnam War.

On that day, the Ohio National Guard fired on students during an anti-war protest, killing four and injuring nine others.

Fonda, the daughter of actor Henry Fonda, was one of the most prominent figures of the anti-war movement — and one of the most divisive. When she allowed herself to be photographed atop a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun during a 1972 trip to Hanoi, many viewed it as an unforgivably traitorous act.

Fonda plans to reflect on that era, her life in social activism and the legacy of the Kent State shootings during her speech on May 3. The event is free and open to the public, but advance reserved tickets are required.

The commemoration marks the first time students, faculty, university staff and leadership, and May 4 survivors and family members have united around the idea that the date should be forever honored, planners said.

This is nice, she will be paid $83,000 for the appearance.  Fonda called returning POWs “hypocrites and liars,” adding, “These were not men who had been tortured. These were not men who had been starved. These were not men who had been brainwashed. … Pilots were saying it was the policy of the Vietnamese and that it was systematic. I believe that’s a lie.”

I wonder how she feels about what will happen to her grave.   Maybe she will just have her ashes spread somewhere.

May I be the first here to say: FUCK YOU, HANOI JANE; MAY YOU DIE IN PAIN AND AGONY!!!

  2. Bubblehead Ray says:

I, for one, will NOT piss on Jane Fonda’s grave when she dies. I swore to myself when I left the Navy that I would never stand in a long line again.

    • RichG says:

No worries, I hear they’re going to enact a “fast pass” system, that way you can get a ticket with a time and date on it where you only have to stand with five other guys at the “Traitors Urinal”.

  3. Combat Historian says:

“…I wonder how she feels about what will happen to her grave. Maybe she will just have her ashes spread somewhere…”

Hanoi Jane will be buried at the PAVN Socialist Heroes’ Cemetery near Hanoi, where she will spend eternity with her beloved NVA comrades…

    • Ex-PH2 says:

You actually think that fire would be stupid enough to try to cremate her?

More likely even the worms would reject her carcass and she’d end up a dried-out old husk about six inches long, which is all she is anyway. You know: something to scare small children at Halloween.

  4. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

May “Hanoi Jane” Fonda get painfully fucked to death up the ass by both a Grizzly Bear with AIDS and the SOB that was mean enough to give it to him!

    • Bill M says:

API, you know you aren’t supposed to hold your feelings in like that. Now take a deep breath and tell us what you really think.

(My ticket for the piss line is #8723. I got a late start that day.)

Damn CH, beat me to it. I was over yonder, ranting on the other thread. This effing scrunt will probably enjoy the barbed cock of Satan. Not sure if she will enjoy the napalm being pissed on her by the Souls of all of the Warriors that WILL line up in Valhalla. Like many others here, I was serving when she made her trip to VN. A rumor was going around that a certain dog robber that had access to the keys to the post theater somehow procured some of her movies that were in the projection room. There may and or may not have been a bonfire of an acetate type material on the parade ground.

The bringing of her exercise tapes into my house was the final nail into the coffin of my second marriage.

  7. Anonymous says:

Did ROTC there getting called a “baby killer” and etc. daily… my commandant of cadets (at least not the head guy) was her biggest fan (got out of being drafted, stayed for the benefits) said her trip to Hanoi was “legitimate expression of dissent”. Fuck him and her.

  8. Jay says:

I’ll take the word of James Stockdale, Charlie Plumb, John Dramesi, Floyd Thompson, Everett Alvarez Jr, John McCain (as much as I loath his post service career) and every other service member who actually WAS a POW over the word of a plastic faced witch who won’t own up to what she did an APOLOGIZE. Im forty years old. My father and his two brothers were both Vietnam Vets. God blessed them all to come home. 2 have passed away already. I consider it my DUTY to get in that line when she finally croaks and I WILL be hydrating to wait my turn to make sure I have a nice LONG stream on behalf of BOTH of them.

    • The Other Whitey says:

Uncle Greg fought in Vietnam as a Marine rifleman and dog handler. He was a very nice guy, but didn’t much care for Hanoi Jane. Grandpa (a WWII Navy vet) was more vocal about his hatred for the bitch—he didn’t much appreciate a movie star getting a pass on treason while his son was risking his life fighting her fellow-travelers. My in-laws are also not fans of hers, or of socialists in general, to say the least. I also have some Vietnamese sister-in-laws and friends who wouldn’t piss on ol’ Comrade Janey if she was on fire.

Having heard a bit of what they endured, I sometimes wonder if John McCain the politician wasn’t the result of psychological damage inflicted by his torturers.

  9. rb325th says:

Rot in Hell bitch! I was too young to have fought in Vietnam, I was old enough to remember seeing the footage on TV of that War. I was old enough to see POWs finally come home. I did not grasp it all at the time, but felt a debt to those men.
When I was old enough, I enlisted in the Army where I was trained by Vietnam Veterans. Where I came home from Basic and was called a baby killer by a family member… I served with Vietnam Veterans, and they will not be forgotten. Not to be forgotten either are the thousands of Americans who turned their backs on them, who worked against them with their enemy as they fought and died in battle.
Key among them is Hanoi Jane, she is the face, the epitome of all the evil that the “anti war” movement was.
I hope when she dies, that it is painful, with no comfort, alone in a dark hellish experience.. like those POWs had to endure.

  10. UpNorth says:

This thread needs a huge “Like” button. Rot in hell, bitch.

    An example of poor marksmanship.

    • Anonymous says:

True. Protestors (throwing rocks, although none will admit that today) were 50m targets and half the wounded/dead were non-protestors (including an Army ROTC cadet) much farther away.

  14. OWB says:

Well. Isn’t this special. Good thing I just don’t care what she believes, much less how she feels about anything. Because if I cared, I’d probably have to take a road trip to Kent this spring.

It would be just too much fun to recreate the situation where she was soooo scared of the mean old vets that she wouldn’t come out of her trailer.

The calendar looks pretty clear for May. Hmmmm.

  15. 26Limabeans says:

“Maybe she will just have her ashes spread somewhere”

Yeah, fired from an AA gun into a swarm of Locust.

  16. Doc Savage says:

Some day she’ll die and no one will remember her name.

    • Ret_25X says:

her problem—and this ran in her family–was that her mouth would run for an hour before a thought came into her head.

whenever she had an idea rolling around in her mind, it had plenty of room to do lots of rolling…

People take these hollyweird intellectual midgets seriously, but I don’t know why that is. I never understood why anyone thought that an actor might have a better informed perspective on anything than Irving, the grocery manager…

      • The Other Whitey says:

I heard about Joaquin Phoenix’s recent bizarre tree-hugger rant. That speech indicates a guy who is completely disconnected with reality, because if we suddenly adopted his bullshit ideas, there would be mass starvation, complete societal breakdown, and nobody would pay his ass obscene amounts of money to make movies.

  18. I was with the 101st in I Corp Vietnam in May of 70. I cleared a chopper and we set up a defensive perimeter. Short time later saw a copy of Stars and Stripes and read about Kent State and the N.G. First thought was “they finally gave live ammo to the N.G.”. I was twenty years old and my view of political correctness was a bit skewed.

On May 17 was hit with a AK round and evacuated to the U.S.S. Sanctuary. In 77 I was a student at Fla. State. Instructor (Sociology) was at Kent state. He had each student stand and speak on where they were went Kent State went down. and how they felt about it. When I stood I said I was conducting combat operations in the A shau valley, Vietnam the day it happened and my first thought was “they finally gave live ammo to the N.G.”.

I was 26 years old and probably not any more politically correct than I was at twenty.

  19. If I’m on the pissing line 400 feet from her grave, I’ll crank up my internal 500 gpm 2 stage waterous pump and get 100 psi on the tip of my old wazoo and shoot a stream over everyone’s heads right onto her grave. Hopefully I won’t get knocked to the ground without a backup.

One of our ninjas sent me this link several days ago when we were in the middle of the Troll flame war. I thought the board, at the time, was a tinderbox, and shelved it for another day. Seems Dave beat me to it, which is more than fine with me.

Hanoi Jane urinal stickers were common at military clubs world wide.

    • Roh-Dog says:

See! You don’t get it. They, the enlightened progressives, NEED to take your money so they can make the decisions we, the unwashed masses, are too stupid to make!
Just go with the programming or it’s gulag time.

  24. The Other Whitey says:

Every time I hear someone claim the commies were the good guys, I think of Operation Frequent Wind. USAF crews flying C-141s overloaded with refugees out of Tan Son Nhut and getting riddled with holes as they took off. ARVN helicopter pilots landing everyone they knew on any American deck they could find, then ditching their choppers in the South China Sea to make room for more coming in behind them. USS Midway’s Sailors shoving dozens of faithful Hueys over the side to make room for Major Buang Ly to bring his children to safety. Tens of thousands more crowding the gates of the US embassy, the CIA annex, and other facilities begging not to be left at the mercy of the NVA. And the millions (yes, *millions*) who afterwards crowded onto anything that might possibly float to escape that country, trying for America, Australia, The Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, anywhere. Hundreds of thousands of them, maybe more, dead at the hands of the North Vietnamese navy, pirates, smugglers, and the cruel sea.

Diasporas don’t happen because things are great at home.

    • SFC D says:

Yeah, if you compare the number of people trying to escape from communism against the number of people trying to escape to communism, you get a very one sided result. I can’t imagine why that would be.

He spent decades repeating this, to anyone who would listen.
Yet, many believe the hoax to this day.

On or about May 4th, 1970 my unit 1st Plt., Co. A, 2/35th Inf, 4th DIV. along with the rest of 1st & 2nd BDE, air assaulted into Cambodia for operation Operation Binh Tay. We CA’d from Pleiku into the northeastern part of Cambodia. Never seen so many Huey’s & fixed wing aircraft flying in one airspace. We were flying higher above the fixed wings, while watching them thru our legs dangling off the side of the slick, prepping the AO with bombing & rocket runs. Unbelievable!

It was a bit later that we would find out about Kent State. If I recall, it didn’t mean nothing to us.

“I’m not going to cut myself up anymore”: Jane Fonda swears off plastic surgery at age 82.

I’m guessing that Hanoi Jane has more plastic in her than our “The Other Whitey” has in all of his plastic models.

Maybe they can recycle her into plastic toilet seats when she croaks. (grin)

    • Poetrooper says:

Skyjumper, I once had a seat like that back in 1966–looking down between my legs while circling high above the landing zone–as the fast-burners and even some old, slow A-4 Skyraiders prepped the area with napalm and willy-pete.

I have many times since referred to it as watching an incredible performance in the world’s largest amphitheater, truly up in the “nosebleed” section.

  29. Poetrooper says:

Of all the poems ol’ Poe has written, this one, from 2005, when Jane was trying to sell her book and rehabilitate her public image, seems to have the most recurring utility. It’s not one of my better pieces, but does accurately convey my feelings.:

    Jane Fonda seeks exoneration,
    Forgiveness from her traitored nation.
What say you warriors fought that war?
Is forgiveness due that wartime whore?
So rich, so smart, she thought she knew
Much more than us, we bloodied few.
    So smug, self—serving, seeking fame,
The rich bitch played her seditious game.

A game that cost me many friends,
Many, thanks to Jane, came to bad ends.
I’ve borne scars forty years or more,
From lies laid on me by this whore.
Self—serving now she sells her tale,
This traitor who should be in jail.
Is it within our souls to grant her grace?
Our souls shout, ‘No… spit in her face!’

So self assured, she played high stakes,
Telling American prisoners, ‘That’s the breaks.’
She accused brave men of heinous crimes,
Which were disproved in future times.
And now our country knows the truth
Jane Fonda betrayed us in our youth.
She asks us now to read her book,
Americans, the folks this bitch forsook.

So now she crawls, her conscience bare,
To tell us she screwed up back there.
Well, hell, we knew that way back then,
This Hanoi Jane who helped them win.
It was glory then for this airhead star,
But forever now she’ll bear the scar
A scarlet letter she’ll now wear,
A stench forever in her hair.

So Jane, dear, you must realize,
You’re the devil in a helmet in our eyes.
When Vietnam vets raise up their toasts
It’s to damn your soul, to salute our ghosts.
We swear, we living, to our long—dead brave,
We’ll live to piss upon your grave.
    So Jane, good fortune, unforeseen,
Your traitor’s grave will be forever green.

Little did I know, back home my draft notice was waiting for me at my parents house. August 1970 I’m at Ft. Lewis. Feb. of 71 I’m in Vietnam assigned to a rifle Company. That’s when I started thinking about Jane Fonda and her traitorous ways!
