A New York City man who’s now been arrested 139 times thanked Democrats for guaranteeing his immediate release despite repeatedly swiping hundreds of dollars from unsuspecting subway commuters since the state’s new bail reform law went into effect Jan. 1.

Charles Barry, 56, has been arrested six times since the start of this year. He’s been released each time without having to post bail under New York’s new bail reform law since his alleged offenses were nonviolent, the New York Daily News reported. In the past, Barry’s served several stints in state prison and has a lengthy record, including six felonies, 87 misdemeanors and 21 missed court hearings, the newspaper reported, citing court records.

“Bail reform, it’s lit!” Barry yelled to reporters Thursday outside the NYPD Transit District 1 headquarters in the Columbus Circle station before officers transported him to Manhattan Central Booking. “It’s the Democrats! The Democrats know me and the Republicans fear me. You can’t touch me! I can’t be stopped!”

Absolutely infuriating. Thanks, Governor Cuomo and Bolshevik Bill. Read the entire article here: Fox News

Maybe the citizens will get lucky and this parasite on society will stumble and fall upon the third rail. Maybe that will serve his needs.

Who didn’t see this coming.

Sherman Hemsley..

26Limabeans

Yeah.
I considered using his character name but
that would have been too easy.

Poetrooper

I once spent a couple of days around Hemsley at a medical conference when some company was paying him to hang around their booth and glad-hand physicians. The guy was a flaming asshole–surly, arrogant, impatient and New York level rude–when he didn’t have the phony charm and big phony smile turned on for the doctors.

He did have a drop-dead gorgeous blonde, white chick with him–best looking woman at the conference–but he treated her like crap as well.

He died in my hometown of El Paso a few yrs ago. He had been living there for years. After his passing, his corpse was kept on ice for several months, while there was a court battle over his will. He was an Air Force vet, and buried at Fort Bliss.

Might wanna be careful tempting fate there, Mr. Charles Barry. This is not a threat, but a warning. No one is untouchable and one of these days, you’re going to con the wrong person (or persons) and pay dearly for it. Mark my words, there will be a price to pay and I sure hope it won’t be up to including your life (though if it does happen, I will have no sympathy; you want to act like trash, you’re going to be treated like trash and eventually you might be taken out like trash if you’re really unlucky). Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, or even in the near future, but there will come a day where you will con the wrong person if you’re not careful. And won’t be the police or the Republicans that you should be afraid of. It will be the mob of pissed off vigilantes who decide to take the law into their own hands and takeout the garbage of society because they are sick of the justice system not doing it. Be warned, it will take a lot more than money to calm them down and your allies in the state and local government won’t be able to save you, that is if they don’t get voted out first. I guess you have made your decision. You better hope you don’t end up regretting it in the future, for your sake. I have no love for crime and I have no love for vigilantism. You don’t want to be captured by a group that makes up its own rules on how criminals are handled.

If there is one rule liberals/progressives live by with “law and order.”

Criminals will go free and/or get a slap on the wrist for heinous crimes and most of their crimes not even investigated.

Vigilantes will be relentlessly hunted down with the full resources of the police and state and will be crucified when caught.

CK

They’ll be hunted all right. The question is will the police actually do it? And is there anything stopping the vigilantes from potentially going after government officials?

Jus Bill

Too bad he’s not an Illegal. That would be the cherry on top of the current NYC “Government” policies.

I remember NYC in the 1970s as a kid.

This and more is coming…

Let’s not forget that what we see in the likes of LA, NYC and San Foo-foo is just what the left wants to inflict on the rest of the USA!

Another reason why I would never step foot in New York

Remember, folks.

The Democrats that changed the law intended this to happen. This is their desired outcome.

Feature, not bug.

This is the “breaking eggs” part of the “making an omelette” as attributed to Lenin.

Our system works quite well. No sane or good person would choose a Marxist failure system over it. So, they have to wreck our society before they can offer their Marxist horseshit as an “improvement”.

Yes, they -do- know what they are doing with these changes. Yes, it -is- intended to wreck -your- life. And from their point of view, the sooner the better. You are either going to “flip” and join their Marxist insanity, or you are “Boozhee” and an opponent to be destroyed.

Yes, they mean it. Maybe read their Manifesto and understand, hmm?

Cameron Kingsley

If current trends are anything to go by, I am not quite sure anybody truly wants their “improvements.” As for joining them or else, they can kiss my Virginian ass.

Crashing our systems of governance was the ultimate goal of the Cloward-Piven strategy propounded by those two commie professors from the University of Chicago.

Correction: They were professors at the Columbia School of Social Work.
