USS Normandy seizes 150 Iranian missiles in Arabian Sea.

| February 14, 2020

The US Navy seized a ship carrying 150 Iranian missiles, the American military announced Thursday.

The USS Normandy warship found the weapons after boarding a dhow in the Arabian Sea on Sunday, Reuters reported. The weapons were reportedly bound for Yemen.

“The weapons seized include 150 ‘Dehlavieh’ anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), which are Iranian-manufactured copies of Russian Kornet ATGMs,” the military stated.

“Other weapons components seized aboard the dhow were of Iranian design and manufacture and included three Iranian surface-to-air missiles, Iranian thermal imaging weapon scopes, and Iranian components for unmanned aerial and surface vessels.”

Islam Iran will not stop funding terrorist activity until they are incapable of funding it. Islam Iran has been the source of unrest for decades in the Middle East.  If Islam Saudi Arabia and Islam Iran want to self destruct via proxy wars… who are we to be taking their toys?

If those “toys” were only to be pointed at each other, I would agree, let the children play.
But inevitably some one of the children would get the not-so-bright idea to aim them at us.
So best for now to take away what toys we can find for our own protection.

Weapons are an income stream for Iran, I suppose. No ATGMs, no income.

I will say when a badass Tico Class CG like USS Normandy says “Heave to!” one would be well advised to stop engines and wait for the boarding team, or very quickly become an artificial reef.

I found this at Israel National News, (where I find much USA news before it is published by “our” news outlets), and sent the link to admin here, fully 18 hours before seeing it at FOXNews dot com/
Items like this next, don’t get much play in US news sites:

Given that at one point ‘veterans’ were flagged as potentially subversive, I’d sure lile to see the definition of ‘white nationalist’. That trrm is used almost as much as ‘racist’.

The Warmongering Imperialists, puppets of the Zionists, have once again interfered with the free trade of the peace loving peoples of Iran. Those were not ATGMs, those were life sized birthday candles to be used in a celebration of the prophet’s birthday. How can our brothers in Yemen properly celebrate unless they can launch the celebratory rockets? The peace loving peoples demand an immediate investigation into the crimes of piracy on the high seas and an immediate return of our missi…err, birthday candles. /s/

Can we return them to sender?

    The old fashioned way?

  6. Looking at those missile cases brought back memories when we used to anchor out in Hampton Roads,(Norfolk NOB) raise the red flag and unload 3in.50 AA rounds into the hanger bay and a working party would pass those rounds and other munitions below decks for storage. I only dropped one or two when my hands slipped.

  7. Charles says:

Perhaps if each crew member on the Dhow was tied to a missile and thrown overboard, there would be more difficulty recruiting smugglers.
