Willow Man Jailed after being Shot in Shoulder Monday Morning

Alaska State Troopers report that a Willow man was arrested on Misconduct Involving Weapons and Assault charges after he was treated for a gunshot wound just after midnight on Monday morning.

Troopers reported a call from Willow homeowner Sherry MacDougal that a suspect, she identified as 51-year-old Shawn Burke, had shown up at her residence with a rifle and shot at her home.

AST was told that the homeowner had shot Burke in the shoulder after the incident. He left the scene after being wounded.

The investigation would find Burke at a neighbor’s property and he was taken into custody and treated for his injury. After declining further treatment, Burke was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer on charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons and Assault III x3.

He was held without bail.

Home intruder shot, killed in rural Grant County, sheriff says

GAS CITY, Ind. (WISH) — A man at a home in a rural part of Grant County told police he shot and killed an intruder Monday afternoon, the sheriff’s department says.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call about 1 p.m. from a man who said he’d just shot and killed an intruder at the home near the intersection of East County Road 600 South and South County Road 500 East. That’s about a mile southwest of the I-69 interchange for U.S. 35 and State Road 22.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found two people outside the home, said a news release from sheriff’s Capt. Ed Beaty. The two people were taken into protective custody. One of the two people, Matthew Whitt, 39 of Wabash, was arrested on a parole violation.

The deputies also found a dead man lying on the floor near the back door of the home. He was suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

The man was identified Tuesday as Steven Nickell, 33, of Muncie.

West Salem neighbors hold alleged pitchfork-wielding burglar at gunpoint until police arrive

By Jack Rooney
Tom Phillips woke up Saturday morning to his wife asking him if he left their garage door open overnight.

He hadn’t. But the door was open, and his wife said it looked like it had been kicked in.

“So I got up, got dressed, got my pistol,” Phillips, 37, said Monday.

He also called the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office immediately, and reported the break-in at his West Salem home. The pistol Phillips grabbed became important a little while later, when he saw a man in a black coat trying to get back into his garage.

“I pulled my weapon up, told him to stop and to get on the ground,” he said. “I held him at gunpoint until the cops got there.”

A Wayne County sheriff’s deputy arrived on scene in the 12200 block of N. Elyria Road, about a mile north of Interstate 71, five to 10 minutes later, around 9:10 a.m., Phillips said. The deputy then handcuffed the suspect, identified as Michael S. Hooser, 37, of Lima, according to the Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Hooser on Monday was charged with one count of burglary, a second-degree felony, in Wayne County Municipal Court. He is being held in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond, court records show. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Friday morning.

Hooser allegedly was in possession of property from several different nearby homes, garages and vehicles, including one neighbor’s wallet and “an abundance of lighters, hand tools, flashlights and knives,” according to the incident report. He also had a crystal-like substance, which deputies believe was methamphetamine, and a green leafy substance, suspected marijuana.

And unbeknownst to Phillips at the time of the incident, Hooser was carrying a handgun and .380 caliber rounds.

“I just protected my property and my family,” Phillips said of his actions. “That’s about it.”

Deputies, who were joined on scene by the West Salem Police Department, recovered the gun, ammunition and suspected drugs. Authorities also were able to return most of the stolen property to its owners on Saturday.

Hooser caused about $500 worth of damage to Phillips’s garage door, according to the report. At a neighbor’s house, Hooser allegedly used a pitchfork to break a glass storm door, and attempted to break into the home, causing an estimated $300 to $400 in damage.

Joe Biden’s Incoherent Second Amendment Rant
By DAVID HARSANYI
Struggling Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden unleashed another incoherent rant about gun rights in front of a group of New Hampshire residents this weekend. While offering lots of the usual misinformation — Biden stands firmly against “20, 30, 40, 50 clips in a weapon,” for instance — things really fell apart when he started quoting Thomas Jefferson.

Biden: “Those who say ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots’ — a great line, well, guess what: The fact is, if you’re going to take on the government you need an F-15 with Hellfire Missiles. There is no way an AK-47 is going to take care of you.”

This has to be the first time in history that a serious presidential contender has publicly gamed-out how a modern American military — armed with F-15s and air-to-surface missiles — would crush an imaginary citizen-led insurgency. (Sorry, Eric Swalwell — even though you once mocked Second Amendment supporters as being unable to defeat a government armed with nukes, you were never a serious presidential contender, so you don’t count.)

For one thing, it’s a weird way to appeal to a broad swath of voters. It’s also an ignorant way to talk about millions of law-abiding and peaceful American gun owners — many of them in contested states such as Wisconsin and Michigan — who are far less inclined to violence than the average WTO protester.

It’s also a really bad strawman, for a number of reasons:

4 of a kind and an Ace high DRT is still a winning hand. We’ll take it. We’ll also take the Sig 229. Make a nice companion to another little hideaway honey I have.

One of my favorite sayings for the FGS is that quote “…shot and killed an intruder…” If homeboy had of done the same to the meth/pot head dirtbag, we’d a had a hand of Aces & 8s.

Saw a blurb on a news feed about ol’ quid pro gropin’ Joe on evening last. Washington Enq? Thought we might see something on it here today. If these kind of statements from long time elected officials don’t show people what their true agenda is, then Gawd help us all. Ironically the H&I Channel of ME TV had a late night part 1 episode of Star Trek DS9. Somehow Dax (HONEY HUSH) the doctor, and Capt Ben had gone thru a time warp to a tenement sanctuary city back on Earth to the year 2024. The city was San Fran. Surrounded by a wall, the only gunz were in the hands of the popo, the people had a ration card and the freedom to sleep in any building they could find room in. The people were starving and grubbing out an existence while the elite outside the walls were living good. Can you say Warsaw Poland 1940s? Wake up America, this could be us if the demonrats and the NWO has their way. Live Free or Die Well.

So what Joe is saying is that we need to lift the restrictions on large caliber weapons and explosive projectiles if we really want to abide by the 2nd Amendment!
The people need the ability to defend themselves against a tyrannical government. So we need access to jet fighters, machine guns, missiles (air to air, air to ground, ground to air), large caliber munitions such as artillery…though if it really comes down to it most of those would be procured from the military itself when the people rise up and seize the depots. The word would likely get out pretty fast if the government decided to start using the military to round up its citizens, and likely the armories would be seized before the order could go out to mobilize the guard and reserves.
…just saying (what Joe really meant…if he became President)

Today’s FGS post has Biden quoting Jefferson.

Those who say ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots’ …..

The Jefferson quote in context is so much more than what Biden presented it to be. It is not a petulant statement of rebellion or threats.

Please take the time to read Jefferson’s quote in context and be inspired:

The Lefty press is no longer covering for Joe Biden’s mental problems.

Some sense a new Master picking up the whip, and seek to appease it. Others not the shift, and follow their peers.

All smell the blood in the water, and no longer fear the soon-food.
