Hillary Clinton Unloads on Bernie Sanders

| January 22, 2020

Many Hillary Clinton supporters still harbor bitterness over their perception that Bernie Sanders did not do a sufficient job with helping Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. (salon.com)

Hillary Clinton appears to have some animosity for Bernie Sanders. During the 2016 presidential campaign, many Bernie Sanders supporters either stayed home or even voted for President Trump. Many of Hillary Clinton’s supporters point to this as a major contributor to President Trump’s winning in 2016.

When asked if she would support Sanders if he were to become the nominee, Clinton did not provide a hint. Bernie Sanders for his part campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Things are heating up as we approach the first Democratic primary. Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, and Pete Buttigieg are close in the polls. Bernie Sanders is among the candidates hammering Joe Biden in an attempt to chip away from his support.

From the Hill:

Democrats and progressives interviewed by The Hill insist that the party will rally behind whoever wins the nomination. But many view Clinton’s remarks as unhelpful and self-serving.

“You feel like looking Hillary square in the eye and asking, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ ” said one Democrat who has worked on presidential campaigns. “Donald Trump is president. Bernie on a bad day would be better than Trump on his best day. We need to win.”

Clinton, who has largely stayed out of the Democratic nominating process, unloaded on Sanders in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that ran on Tuesday, accusing him of fostering a movement that is abusive toward women.

Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done,” Clinton said. “He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

The former secretary of State refused to say whether she would support Sanders for president if he wins the nomination.

Many among the Democrats are seeing that Hillary Clinton is continuing to argue the circumstances of the 2016 presidential campaign. However, their need to defeat President Trump is one of their unifying themes. He is still being associated with “bigotry” and “hate”.

Hell just froze over. I agree with Hillary on something. Bernie is bad for America.

I…..never…….thought………this………could……happen.

I’m not sure what’s real any more.

Well, even a disbarred attorney can crash a plane twice.

Hack Stone you forgot to say *over*! (((over)))

In re The Bitch of Benghazi, dasHiltler BeastScrunt, lying, murderous, trash from hell I will paraphrase the poetry that penguinman000 so eloquently blessed us with earlier…

A disbarred attorney could crash a plane even a third time. But not our favorite disbarred attorney. He only gets two, since that last one put him in the “game over” category with a permanent “tilt” for improper use of the machine. Apparently, flying by Ipad is not prudent, safe piloting

The DNC allows, even encourages, Bernie to run to serve as both a socialist stalking horse and a youth magnet. As long as Bernie is in the race, other candidates can test how far left they can take issues. When they find resistance, they can tell more centrist Democrats, “But I’m not a real socialist like Bernie is,” and keep those doubters in the party fold.

At the same time, Bernie serves to hold the youth vote, the true communist/socialist far-left wing of the party and prevent their bolting to form a third, true socialist party, which could prove to be the death of the Democrat party.

The Dems have been juggling an increasing number of political daggers for a long time–let us hope this year they all come crashing down on them, putting a long-overdue end to their dangerous political manipulations.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Poe, Bernie only holds the youth vote as long as he is involved. 2016 clearly showed when he was screwed over by the DNC that the resulting exodus of youth voters who simply didn’t vote was rather significant. The Bernie Bois this time around are not going to “vote blue no matter who” again. If Bernie gets shit on this time around the Democratic party may never look the same afterwards. In my simple analysis what makes Bernie most interesting right now is that he does share one thing with Trump, he’s a disruptor like Trump was in the Republican party. The current DNC would rather lose with a turd like Biden that run Bernie and concede the party to the left. The DNC at the leadership is hardly more than Republican lite centrism beholden to corporate dollars. The constant push that Democrats are “leftists” is totally unsubstantiated by what they do in office as a party to date. Even Obama was better for the 1% wealth crowd than he was for the rest of the economic strata. These are not the policies of any sort of “progressive leftist” party they are the policies of a centrist, corporate party. Which is why the lack of coverage of all things Bernie of late has been most interesting. The debate moderators were intent on sending a message that Bernie was not being truthful. He was asked a question about his universal health care plan, he answered in detail including how he believed we would be able to pay for it (I don’t agree but I can admit he answered the question completely)…when he was done the moderator looked at Biden and asked, “Since Senator Sanders won’t answer the question, what do you think VP Biden?” it was so obvious as to be laughable. I’ve seen polling data that shows Bernie on top in several states, but CNN routinely shows Warren and Biden as their leaders…CNN has even called Warren’s policies fresh and new even though she simply stole those ideas from Bernie who has held them all his life. I’m not a… Read more »

It’s been made apparent that many a Bernie-head is going to stay at home on Election Day after rioting about him not getting the nomination and it’s apparent that the head DNC apparatchiki are going to do all they can to keep him from getting it. I find it interesting that Bernie ran as an Independent for the US Senate, identifies as a Socialist, but is running for the D-rat nomination as one of them.

Mason

I saw an article the other day discussing the Dem debate and it listed the “(I-VT)” after his name. I found that humorous.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

No one running as an independent nationally can win these days. One can still run at the local and state level, but the organization and funds required to run nationally requires a campaign to align with a party.

It’s why Trump ran as a Republican even though he spent years as a Democrat. In 2004 he stated rather clearly he identified more as a Democrat.

Trump was a Democrat prior to 1987 when he registered as a Republican until 1999 when he changed to independent and then from 2001-2009 he was a Democrat. In 2009 he re-joined the Republicans, only to dump them for being an independent again in 2011, in 2012 he once again became a Republican…

He’s hardly a life long party member but savvy candidates understand national elections require national organizations.

Martinjmpr

I think VoV makes a good point here: While it’s common for Republicans to call Democrats “leftists”, most of their “leftist” policies are focused on SOCIAL issues – gay rights, abortion, race issues, etc.

If they were truly Left/Socialist in their economic policies they’d be pushing to break up big corporations, pushing for big inheritance and wealth taxes, pushing for vastly expanded social welfare policies, etc. like they do in Europe. But that would scare off their big money donors, so they confine their “activism” to things that are more about image than about substance.

Roh-Dog

Taxes, directly and as a cost of goods, services, utilities, etc, disproportionately effect the working lower/lowest class. This is seen most acutely in Democrat-confrolled areas.
Look at electricity costs vs how blue a state is, it’s one factor indicative of the pernicious lie: Democrats care about the poor.

Commissar

DNC does not encourage him at all. They even were forced to admit in court that they did whatever they could to undermine him.

Roh-Dog

Regrettably, I must agree.
Damn you for being right, at least once.
Don’t celebrate too hard with the Cosmoes.

NHSparky

Thankfully, neither of these assclowns will ever become President.

Commissar

Only republicans elect assclowns for president.

A Proud Infidel®™

D-rats only elect crooks, liars and cheats. Do you ever think anything other than what your profs tell you to?

SFC D

So clever.

NHSparky

Oh Larsie.

Do the names, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, and Obama mean nothing to you?

Don’t even get me started on racists like Wilson, et al.

And who was a Bernie-boi the last election? You would have sucked his dick to see him elected just for all of the socialist “free shit” that you want.

Your idol (AOC) endorsed him for president…

BTW – Trump was the better alternative to Cankles for many of us.

ArmyATC

That may be true. But it only indicates that Republican assclowns are slightly less clownish, and therefore more electable than Democrat assclowns.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I’m not as convinced that if the Democrats actually nominate Bernie that’s an automatic loss.

Disruptors can win elections. Bernie is a disruptor, a trait he shares with Trump even though their ideologies are dramatically different.

I think Trump will beat Biden or Warren easily, I don’t see Trump vs Sanders as a slam dunk though, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Hillary was just sued for defamation by Tulsi Gabbard. Hildabeast defamed her by calling her a “Russian Asset.” Gabbard says this damaged her campaign for President. Gabbard will likely have a tough row to hoe because she will have to prove actual malice–the beast’s knowledge of the falsity of the statement.

marinedad61

$50 million.
Hawaii Army National Guard Major Tulsi Gabbard
is an Iraq War Veteran.
As if we needed 1 more reason why
most of the USA is happy that Hillary Clinton lost the election.
Hillary will lose this lawsuit, and get her clock cleaned.

Arby

Or Gabbard is “arkancided” next week, making it a moot point…

rgr769

Tulsi better stay off private aircraft, and she should keep her driving routes secret. Otherwise, she might have an unfortunate fatal “accident.”

A Proud Infidel®™

Don’t forget the fatal muggings that have “unexpectedly” happened to some who had dirt on the Clintons, just sayin’…

rgr769

You mean like poor ol’ Seth Rich?

Commissar

It would be karmic Justice if she lost this lawsuit and the net worth she accumulated through decades of open corruption evaporates because she decided to cling to old grudges.

A Proud Infidel®™

Creatures like Das Hildebeast will either “Arkancide” the Plaintiff or drag it out in Court until they give up.

There seems to be a slowdown on Stolen Valor Military Phonies.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I see what you did there….

OldSoldier54

Indeed. Nice play on words.

Roh-Dog

I’m starting to think this impeachment bs really is a Clinton Op to take 4 opponents off the field.
For the life of me, I can not find a reason under the sun that the Clinton STILL weld ANY power.
Shut you f**king mouth, you hag, and go away.

Commissar

Apparently a retired grandmother still scares the hell out of you.

A Proud Infidel®™

Aaahh, PROJECTING yet again, aren’t you?

SFC D

You never turn your back on a wounded animal.

Roh-Dog

Since I have no value of my own sanity, I’ve been listening to the proceedings since yesterday, every damn second of them.
So, given my graveled emotional state my retort to your inane whoopin’s will be succinct: Go f*ck yourself.

A Proud Infidel®™

Here we go, I’m sure that Das Hildebeast is either trying to push herself into the fray and go for the nomination OR simply do whatever damage she can to those going for it because IT WAS HER TURN and if she can’t have it she’ll wreck whoever else goes for or gets it. IMHO Clinton Fatigue was one reason she lost and some pundits said that’s why B-HO got the nomination over her in 2008.

Sapper3307

Bernie’s secret cash cow the Our Revolution folks are being investigated by the evil government for moving around a lot of money comrade Bernie is not supposed to have.

Sapper3307

Is it just me or does Schiff look like an old David Hogg?

rgr769

They both have that same disapproving scowl. I wouldn’t turn my back on either of them. If they could learn to be a little more pleasant personality-wise, they might be able to make a living as con-men, or should I say, con-artists since neither qualify as manly. Both are pencil-necked phonies.

rgr1480

Add Greta Thunberg to the “Same Looks Scowl Club For Socialists” — From the famous commercial in which Bernie afterwards states, “…. I’m not only a member … I’m the president.”

(^__^)

OldSoldier54

Man … I can just FEEL the love between those two.

Hondo

But many view Clinton’s remarks as unhelpful and self-serving.

I say – I am shocked, shocked to see any statement from a Clintoon characterized in this manner. (smile)

Seriously, is anyone surprised that a Clintoon would be “self-serving and unhelpful” to, well, anyone – even to their political allies?

rgr769

All Clintons and the Clintonistas are self-serving, looking at how much cash they can bank, based upon their political connections.

11B-Mailclerk

A Clinton unloaded on someone.

….

What, again?

5th/77th FA

Lawd forbid that a Clintoon EVAH do anything that would bring a stain to their name.

SFC D

It was the fault of that devil in a blue dress.

A Proud Infidel®™

You mean the cankled Devil in a blue pantsuit?

SFC D

Well, she’s the root cause, but I was referring to Mr. Clinton’s cigar buddy.
