GOSHEN, N.Y. — A New York man has been acquitted of all charges in relation to the 2013 fatal shooting of another man who was wanted wanted on rape charges.

David Carlson faced charges of manslaughter and negligent homicide in a bench trial for the death of Norris Acosta-Sanchez.

Carlson was accused of firing his shotgun twice at Acosta-Sanchez as the pair walked along the road where Carlson lives. Carlson claimed he was escorting Acosta-Sanchez at gunpoint, so a neighbor could call police and that the fugitive lunged at him before the shooting.

Fatal shooting on R Street was act of self-defense, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office says

Mike Ellis and Nikie Mayo
Anderson County Sheriff’s Office investigators have determined that a fatal shooting last weekend on R Street in Anderson was an act of self-defense, and they will not charge anyone with a crime in the death of a 52-year-old man, according to a statement emailed Friday.

Donnie James Strickland, of Anderson, died after being shot Sunday, according to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office.

Strickland arrived at a home on R Street Sunday and began shooting at a person, according to the Sheriff’s Office, which cited witnesses and evidence.

“The other person involved fired back at Mr. Strickland, striking him at least one time in self-defense,” the Sheriff’s Office’s emailed statement reads. “Due to the circumstance surrounding the shooting and Mr. Strickland being the primary aggressor, no charges will be sought.”

A Sunday Trifecta for our pal Wilted Willy, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. I’m pretty sure by now you are all well aware I am completely impartial in posting these, and make no special effort to dig through the vast interwebs to come up with the occasional three-peat just for WW. Right?

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.— Benjamin Franklin Historical Review of Pennsylvania. [Note: This sentence was often quoted in the Revolutionary period. It occurs even so early as November, 1755, in an answer by the Assembly of Pennsylvania to the Governor, and forms the motto of Franklin’s “Historical Review,” 1759, appearing also in the body of the work. — Frothingham: Rise of the Republic of the United States, p. 413.

They shoulda give the Noo Yawker fella a reward for taking care of the trash. Too bad he can’t sue the prosecutors for harassment. Something sketchy about that site linky. My firewalls/security level kept me safe. Thanks John Boy…you da man…even from 3K miles away.

Philly Boy was a blooming idiot on his tip toeing thru Tulip. Imagine the other ‘hood rats meeting him in hell…”you took a gun to a knife fight and got kilt by a girl? We fixin’ to show you some Brotherly Love! Bend over!”

Strictly speaking Mr. Strickland is now independent from doing anything else stupid. Had him a mini Donnie brook and lost out. He can join his equally stupid buddy from Philly in hell.

Had a ggggGrandpappy that fought the Brits in Carilacky with the Fox of the Swamps. Once ol’ Pretty Boy Mel got away from the road warrior and chick flick crap, he made some good, historically accurate motion pictures. The depiction of Col Tarleton and his pillagers was pretty much spot on. I think that ‘Cump and Little Phil both took scorched earth lessons from him.

Tanks for another Sunday FGS Triffecta for our main man Wilted Willy. And yes, we know that you would not “cook the books” or show any favoritism to anyone. One of the many things we lubs about you. Even Mick will admit that you are his Top Gun. I do know that I’m a favorite because of all the lovely Ms Thang Gun Pr0ns you post. Todays? Honey Hush and child please, I think I’m in lust with her.

I don’t think I have anything to add to FA’s comments above.
But I will say this, per the top picture:
“Aim small, shoot small”.
Unless you’re aiming for a specific target (i.e., officer on a horse), in that mass target, you’re bound to hit something.

As for the lovely Miss Thang, she strikes me as the outdoorsy wholesome type……with a rifle. Don’t piss her off.

And a southpaw… hmmm…
