Impeachment Articles to be Transmitted to the Senate

Nancy Pelosi is due to sign off on transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate this evening. She originally held out from sending these. She hoped to influence the way the Senate would conduct the impeachment trial. The Senate Majority Leader stood his ground with regards to what direction the process would take in the Senate. Nancy Pelosi could not hold onto the articles of impeachment much longer.
House Impeachment managers, who will prosecute this in the Senate, have already been chosen. Among them are Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler. Nancy Pelosi pointed out that once a president is impeached, this status is permanent.

Pelosi introduced the lawmakers who will serve as House managers to prosecute the case against the president early Wednesday. They include House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who will serve as lead manager and who directed much of the House impeachment inquiry out of his committee, and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., whose panel drafted the articles of impeachment.
Pelosi also tapped House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.; Reps. Jason Crow, D-Colo.; Val Demings, D-Fla.; Sylvia Garcia, D-Texas; and Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif.
Once the Senate notifies the House that the Senate is prepared to receive the managers, they will come to an agreement on a specific time for the managers to appear and introduce the case. They will read the official resolution, which the House passed on Wednesday, and the articles of impeachment in full.
Senate Majority Leader Mitchell McConnell wants to utilize the procedures used during then-President Clinton’s impeachment trial. A reading of the transcripts of the phone call, between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, appears to show that the Democrats will have an uphill battle.

What is interesting in the list of managers is Jason Crow. He’s a freshman Congressman. He’s the only one who isn’t in a comfortably Democrat district. The others on the list won recently with banana-republic-like 75% margins (or just completely unopposed), some of them have been in their congressional seats so long they have an ass groove (looking at you Nadler).
He’s a combat vet of Afghanistan though. Was an officer with both the 75th Rangers and the 82nd. So I’m fairly certain that’s the only reason he was picked.
Sad that someone with a military background like that could still be dumb enough to be a Dim…You’d think he’d know better.
