ARMED ROBBER SHOT, KILLED BY ARMED MAN IN WEST DALLAS

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the shooting death of an alleged armed robber that occurred late last night in west Dallas.

Officials say a homeowner was hosting a social gathering in the front yard of a house when three suspects robbed the party at gunpoint. One of the individuals at the party, who police say is a licensed handgun carrier, produced his weapon and shot one of the robbers.

One robber was shot and two others fled the scene. The injured robber was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased.

The handgun carrier provided a statement to police regarding the incident, and was released. The case will be referred to a Dallas County grand jury.

Wonderful news of a WW Trifecta FIRST thing this am. We survived our storms down here, unlike the dirtbags who didn’t survive their storms of lead. Good riddance to more trash. We did have us a regular frog strangler off and on for a good while. And the wind had the old farmhouse just a’rocking on occasion. The lightning lit up the sky like Mick’s eyes while watching a certain movie on Naval Aviators and the thunder boomed like his cheers for the hero of said motion picture.

Thank you so much for the eye pleasing aphrodisiac depicting the works of the Saintly John Moses Browning (Howitzer be his name). It is a most welcome change from the saltpeter effect inducing downright fugly gun pr0n we have been force fed of late. May even help cause an involuntary vascular reaction; similar to the one caused by the Ginger Headed Ms Thang. I’d be the Pancho to that Lefty.

Glad you came through OK, 5th/77th FA.

That was a fast-moving front when it passed our AO.

The only problem I have with the first story is that it’s Texas. I expected at least half the party attendees to be armed, and to take out ALL the intruder trash.

Dallas… sigh.

We must have been in the sweet spot – a few hours of higher-than-normal wind, maybe 2 inches of rain, otherwise no issues. Have to say, one thing about NE Texas that has surprised me… the wind. Maybe it’s being at the south end of Tornado Alley, but the constant wind here reminds me of living in El Paso during Windy Season. Today is a break – dead calm and 30 degrees, with a white frost and heavy fog. Right purty.
