Schiff and what he did

U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, a Democrat who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, conducts an impeachment hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington on Nov. 15, 2019. (Yuri Gripas/Abaca Press)

Ex is out of pocket today, but she forwarded me this article on everyone’s favorite chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff (D-CA). Even though his Kangaroo Court has passed the impeachment investigation on, I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Laughing Boy.

Column: Horowitz report finally unmasks Adam Schiff. Who’s going to call him out on his lies?

By JOHN KASS CHICAGO TRIBUNE |

Now that the Horowitz report is out, revealing all those lies told by the FBI as it worked to hamstring a presidency with a debunked Russia collusion theory, here’s a question:

Where do U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff — the Inspector Javert of Trump Impeachment Theater — and Schiff’s eager handmaidens of the Washington Democratic Media Complex go now to get their reputations back?

Nowhere. There is no place for them to go.

It really doesn’t matter where Schiff goes. The Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee will be blamed when impeachment boomerangs on the Democrats.

Schiff’s Washington Beltway establishment media enablers, those who’ve carried his water for years, may ignore the impact the Horowitz report has on Schiff’s reputation.

They might just spin it all away. And the more witless among them have already reverted to their default positions: tribal hooting, while comparing anyone who disagrees with them to Hitler. If you want the short version, just scroll through Twitter for the angry disembodied cartoon heads.

But there are many intelligent, thoughtful liberal members of the press who, when it comes to Schiff, must be thinking, “My God, what have I done?”

Because if there’s one thing that comes through in the report from Obama-appointed Department of Justice Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz, and from his testimony on Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, it is this:

Schiff is a dissembler, a prevaricator, a distortionist, a spreader of falsehoods. In Chicago we use the short word: liar.

It was Schiff who insisted all along that FBI and Department of Justice officials did not abuse the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) courts or hide information from judges. But according to Horowitz, that’s what the FBI did.

The “DOJ met the rigor, transparency and evidentiary basis needed to meet FISA’s probable cause requirement,” insisted Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, in a 2018 memo that should be carved in marble.

But the FBI didn’t meet those rigorous standards. It didn’t offer transparency. Officials hid evidence from the court, or fabricated evidence to get what it wanted.

It was Schiff who insisted that the FBI didn’t heavily rely on the so-called Steele dossier, the salacious Democratic Party-paid-for oppo research against Trump.

But Horowitz shows that the FBI relied heavily relied on the salacious dossier — and even made up evidence to keep the dossier useful before the courts, though key officials knew that what was in it wasn’t true.

We now know from the Horowitz report that the dossier played a “central and essential role” in obtaining warrants to spy on the 2016 Trump campaign.

I think the senate should call him as a witness and expose the POS
For what he is instead they probably won’t
He would have or may have been Hillary’s Sec of state pick he’s probably has a wealth of knowledge
Like Biden on what was really going on in 16-17
Time frame but the republicans are excellent
At giving these turds a pass when they pull this kind
    Of shit
Start holding people accountable and it will stop or slow down don’t and it will never end

  2. Mason says:

He’s been an open, brazen liar for years. He won’t be held to account for any of this. Never will be. Look at Biden, who lies about everything to include the way his wife and daughter died!

If there’s one thing a Democrat can do without fear of ever being accountable it’s lying.

“Schiff and what he did” We all know what that cocksucking, bug eyed, backstabbing, lying, colluding, mo effing, asinine, low life, degenerate, piece of self serving egotistical sh^t did. He pissed down our back and tried to tell us it was raining. He and many others of his ilk, democans and republicrats are looters and pillagers. They are domestic enemies of our Republic and like him or not, Trump has upset their little apple cart. Again, we have put up with 3 years of wasted time and taxpayer money, just because that scrunt, dasHildabeast, THE BITCH OF BENGHAZI didn’t get her turn. What kind of dirt or how much money and extended power is she and the Soros crowd offering to these people who want to take down the man trying to save our country?

Eff him and the donkey he and the rest rode in on. I will be the FIRST to pass out the torches and pitch forks.

I’m hearing that some of the US taxpayer money granted to Ukraine during the Obama years was funneled to Burisma to pay the coke head son of the VP for his name.

That would not surprise me one bit, that’s just the kind of crap D-rats like to pull with our tax money!

I doubt that any members of the liberal mainstream mess media have any conscience at all, they’ve been babbling members of the DNC Pravda for decades!

“Why hasn’t our AntiTrump monster taken down target yet?”

I doubt most of them get beyond that.

We have reached the point where half the country believes an election is only legitimate if their candidate wins. Otherwise anything is justified to thwart the illegitimate “other”.

      Not. Good.

  7. Perry Gaskill says:

The John Kass column in the Chicago Tribune makes some good points, but seems based on a couple of wrong assumptions.

Kass has written a number of pieces on Schiff, and from them it’s easy to assume that Schiff is the primary driver behind impeachment. What this does is tend to ignore the influence of Jerrold Nadler who might have just as much control of the process, but has chosen to present a perhaps less harsh public anti-Trump profile. It’s probably also important to remember that it was Nancy Pelosi who put both Schiff and Nadler in the position of being committee chairs. This was likely to placate the wishes of the radical-left side of the Democrats.

Kass also seems to assume that it matters to Schiff if his impeachments efforts have turned into a dog-and-pony show. Schiff represents a district which includes Hollywood, and is himself an amateur screenwriter. He loves to be on television. What’s also true is that voters in his district have been regularly sending him back to office with a majority nearing 80 percent at each of the past few elections.

It’s likely that the people who keep Schiff in office don’t care about the ethics, fairness, or potential harm to the country resulting from a bogus impeachment process. From the time Trump was elected, they’ve made very clear the idea that they are willing to get rid of the President by any means necessary. The rest of the country might see that as shameful. They don’t.

  8. Berliner says:

Given this is a time of year when many are flying, or stuck at the airports, for the holidays I think CNN could use some new advertising to gain more recognition for their efforts. Picture the CNN logo on urinal cakes or even on child or adult diapers.

The urinal cakes would complement the strangle hold CNN has on the news market in airports. Forced to watch a broadcast then go relieve yourself of frustration, among other things, while awaiting your flight.

Another thought is an image of the Shifty one in urinals as an aiming point. It might make the custodians job easier with more people “hitting the spot”.

Isn’t Adam Schiff a practicing homosexual? He sure looks and acts like it!
