Georgia bread deliveryman shoots Hardee’s armed robbery suspect during ‘short gun battle’: report

By Robert Gearty
A man was trying to rob a Georgia Hardee’s when he was shot and wounded in an exchange of gunfire with a hero bread deliveryman who sprung into action when he saw the robbery taking place, according to a report.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution cited police as saying that the suspect, Damario Parrish, was wounded after a “short gun battle” with Joseph Chilton, who interrupted the robbery as he was delivering bread to the Hardee’s in Ellenwood Saturday morning.

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that Chilton noticed something was wrong when he observed employees running out the back door and heard a woman screaming for help.

Moments earlier Parrish had jumped the counter, pointed a gun at a female employee and demanded cash, the news release said.

“Chilton ran back to his truck to get a firearm and ran back in to help the female in distress,” according to the news release. “Chilton ended up shooting Parrish twice, but Parrish managed to flee the scene.”

Felony Charges For Man Shot In Leg By His Assault Victim

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A drunken argument led to a break-in, a bias-motivated assault and gunfire Saturday night in Colorado’s high country. It ended with the arrest of a man shot in the leg.

Tanner Randall Hall, 29, was arrested by Summit County Sheriff’s Office deputies who had taken him to the hospital following the disturbance and questioning.

Hall is accused of breaking into a room and assaulting Maxwell Murphy Blank.

Following an argument, Blank had retreated into a bedroom and armed himself with a handgun, “fearing for his safety,” as described by witnesses interviewed by SCSO investigators. Hall broke into the room and fought with Blank over control of the weapon. During the struggle, at least two rounds were fired by Blank.

A Poor Man’s Trifecta, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, with three inconvenienced awaiting a bond hearing.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. — C. From you GB, high praise. TY

I also got beaten to it. If Hall got shot in the other leg, he wouldn’t have a leg to stand on at his hearing. Shooting blanks!!!/Groan

Mr Chilton needs to write a Manual about his experience.

I use to have his auto repair manuals
for most vehicles back in the 80’s but the
Motors manuals of the 60’s and 70’s were
much more detailed.
And more often stolen from the library or
returned with greasy fingerprints.

26Limabeans;
If you used Chiltons manuals, I’ll bet you bought a lot of stuff from the JC Whitney’s mail order catalogue. Bought an A-OOOOOGA horn for my CJ 5 Jeep years ago in the very early 70’s along with other things.

JC Whitney!

The LCP with the laser up front is a big
improvement over my LCR with the laser on the
grip thus ensuring your finger will block
the beam. And the tiny activation button is even
more of a joke. NOT funny when you need it to
work. The fix is liquid electrical tape dribbled
over the button until it becomes useable.
Love the gun though. In 357 Magnum and using
.38 Special +P it is an easily concealable
hand cannon in double action. I can carry it in
a front jeans pocket and you would not know.

He did, twice. He made the news FIRST thing Sunday’s FGS.

Clayton County…sigh

CO, “…derogatory remarks about sexual orientation led to the argument…” Dude better not hang around here, he’s sure get his feelings hurt.

My poodle shooter is in a separate hidey spot from the hidden hand cannon. Never leave home without them. No safe queens around here. And that beautiful rendition of the works of the Saintly John Moses Browning (Howitzer be his name) would never be hidden away at home. Maybe a “small of the back rig” with a long tailed shirt. Or a tankers cross draw shoulder rig with a loose fitting jacket.

Lovely. A work of art, almost (almost) too pretty to shoot. But not quite.
