Today we find, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, zero deceased, two inconvenienced and two in the wind. I suppose the two runners suddenly recalled they needed to be someplace else, and right now.

A state may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the federal constitution… The power to impose a license tax on the exercise of these freedoms is indeed as potent as the power of censorship which this Court has repeatedly struck down… a person cannot be compelled ‘to purchase, through a license fee or a license tax, the privilege freely granted by the constitution.’ —MURDOCK V. I see someone is posting pictures from a “stamp collection”.

Does anyone make a folding stock for a Winchester 94? (Grin).

David

I have seen the hinge assemblies for sale, you could probably figure out a way to cut up the stock near the wrist. Would look ugly as hell. I guess you could also have a thumbscrew type screw in place of the main stock screw to allow fast breakdown and reassembly? Big question is why?

David

Got me interested enough to search, maybe you could modify a Tapco AK stock? https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/tapco-intrafuse-ak-47-folding-stock-black/FC-751348061054.html

If you are looking for an easier way to pack a gun, a slightly slower but much easier alternative would be a takedown model Savage M99. Can even find them in far more effective calibers like .308.

Reason is: exploring compact easily-stowed options for a backpack/truck gun that does not run afoul of various stupid laws about self-feeding or detachable-magazine nonsense. It has to fit storage somewhat shorter than a non-folder, non-takedown.

Takedown 1892 seems to be the best answer, so far.

Also, my tastes in firearms are somewhat old-fashioned.

Also, I shoot thousands of rounds each year in lever-guns.

David

Fyi, the 99 IS a lever gun. In the days when levers ruled the woods, it was the Cadillac.

11B-Mailclerk

I am familiar with it, thanks.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a folding stock lever gun. Seems that would be a custom job.

Winchester makes their Models 92 and 94 in takedown versions. Browning also makes a takedown lever gun, the BLR 81. Mossberg makes a collapsible stock rifle, the 464 SPX.

That’s some nice looking Ruger up on top. Years ago, curved mags were called “banana” clips even though they were technically magazines. Is that term still used today?? Haven’t heard it in years. Any agreement on that.
