The Serial Plane Sneaker has been busted again.

Marilyn Hartman, who spent 18 months in supervised living, and said she would never try to sneak onto planes again, was arrested at O’Hare Airport for trying to get past security by moving TSA lane markers, among other things.

Busted again, and now she gets to spend some quality time in jail for it.

In our second story, a bank robber was busted by customers.  https://www.whec.com/news/bank-robbery-suspect-stopped-by-customers/5499101/

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man was arrested after he attempted to rob a bank on Thursday.

According to police, Michael Matzen, 38, went to the Key Bank on University Avenue around 2 p.m. Matzen went up to the teller with a note and began demanding money.

People in the bank were alerted to the robbery after hearing Matzen demand the money. As he attempted to leave, Matzen was tackled and held down by two customers until police arrived.

Next up: The following story is disturbing because the shooter lived at this condo complex but was about to be evicted.  And this guy has issues, period, but he’s been charged with killing five of his neighbors.

CHICAGO (WLS) — The man charged with killing five of his neighbors in a shooting rampage was denied bail Monday.

Krysztof Marek, 66, was charged after police said he shot and killed five people in an apartment building in the Dunning neighborhood on the Northwest Side on Saturday.

Marek was charged with five counts of first-degree murder. During his court appearance the judge said he is presumed innocent under the law but “what I have heard today is evil on steroids.”

TSA on top of Granny trying to get a free airplane ride.

Good on the citizens for busting the wanna be robber. Rob by note…not me Scooter. Unfortunately, the banks tell their tellers to pass over money when they are passed over a note. Can almost understand that, but the best one locally was when the robber passed a note thru the drive thru window. And that was at one of the branches of my bank (credit union). I asked the branch manager why didn’t the teller just hit the panic button that dropped a steel plate down over the bullet proof glass of tha drive thru. “We train them to follow the instructions that the robber gives them.”

Chitcongo story didn’t really give a reason why old boy went crazy killing his neighbors. Sad, that one is.

MI Ranger

From the name I though he was Polish, and the story confirmed it. Sounds more like he had been notching his complaints for some time (notes taped to his door), and due to his eviction notice felt he had to move forward on revenge. The police would do well to investigate what his beef with the Russian family above him, and the Pole on the third floor were, and what the association had on him. My bet is he had been raising issues with these tenants and they did nothing about it.
No excuse for what he did, but points to a bigger problem with society as a whole. The majority does not listen to the minority once they are in charge and sees nothing wrong with enacting revenge against supposed slights.

Granny stows away…. been done. Helen Hayes in “Airport”

Mustang Major

I worked for a major bank for a number of years. Once I went to a branch that had just been robbed moments earlier to meet with a client. The tellers were reliving the incident to me and laughing. The robber only asked one teller for money. The second teller asked the robber what was wrong with her money? The robber said give me your money also. So she did. Turned out that the bank paid a $500 bonus to the teller for getting a die pack in in a robbers loot, and the second teller made a quick bonus along with the first teller.

Long ago, I had a contract job as part of the closing of some bank branches.

There were a crowd of folks with signs outside (fairly well behaved) and one “suit” inside. Suit was -very- nervous, and was trying to be as invisible as possible.

As I was preparing to leave, Suit finally spoke up “can I convince you to stick around until 6pm?”

Seems he was stuck holding the bag, and was unarmed, and quite concerned.

The bank folks forgot the dye packs. There were a whole bunch of them. Each one had a pair of real hundred dollar bills on top and bottom. There were -lots- of them, and he had disarmed and stripped them, and had a “pimp on Monday after Superbowl” stack of C-notes.

And there was that crowd of unhappy folks outside.

So I wound up sticking around until his cavalry arrived, and wound up with a fatter paycheck and a nice bonus for the job.

RE: the elderly stowaway…

Am I the only one who was reminded of “Ada Quonsett” played by Helen Hayes in the original “Airport” movie?

Toxic Deplorable Racist B Woodman

I guess the old man figures if he’s going to be evicted from one place, he’s now going to get “free” three-hots-&-a-cot in another place.
I do feel sorry for the persons shot and killed. Don’t know if they were saints or assholes, but it still shouldn’t have happened.

My interwebz skills lacking, I am unable to post the story, or the link, about the thug who was shot robbing an Ohio dollar store by the clerk. Even better, his family’s reaction to the “gun violence”.
Funny stuff.

Thanks for your help, Ex-PH2, but my understanding your instructions leads me to the following exchange;

Hawkeye: Radar, your report was clear, concise, and makes absolutely no sense at all.

Radar: Thank you, Sir.
