Iran vs….. ummm, well…. Somebody!

| September 20, 2019

First off, the Pentagon has now said it will defer to Saudi Aranbia’s position and let them take the lead, by their announcing who is responsible for the recent, very destructive attack on the oil depot.

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2019/09/19/pentagon-wont-blame-iran-for-saudi-attack-until-saudi-assessment-concludes/

From the article:  In a Pentagon meeting with reporters, Jonathan Rath Hoffman, assistant to the secretary of defense of defense for public affairs, said the U.S. would defer to Saudi Arabia and allow them to announce their conclusion for who was behind the attack.

“Our position on this has been we’re going to work through with the Saudis as they make their assessment of what took place,” Hoffman told reporters Thursday. “With regard to that, we’re going to let them put out the information as they go through the assessment. We’re going to be with them working through that.”

The comments come after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Iran on Wednesday of being responsible for the attack, which he characterized as an “act of war.” The comments were made to reporters as he traveled to Saudi Arabia. – article

Second, Mr. Zarif (Iran) insists that Iran had nothing to do with it, that it was all the “Yemenis”, and that there will be an all-out war if Iran is attacked. He snagged an interview (see the article for the link) with CNN, so you know who’s on his side.

Third, Iran has constantly poked and poked both the Saudi government and the USA, as well as other nations (e.g., UK ship hijacking) for months now, the way some obnoxious kid in the 6th grade – the one who wants attention all the time – goes around punching and poking the other kids to get the attention he’s after. And he gets it, but for all the wrong reasons. Unless he’s smacked down for it somehow (nowadays, kids get “counseling”) he just goes on doing it until one day, he meets his match.

And Iran wants to get to that point, declaring publicly that if they are attacked after all the punches and poking they’ve done, then it will be all-out war.  https://time.com/5681879/iran-war-warning-saudi-oil-attack/  Zarif repeats this in his interview.

From the Time article:  (DUBAI, United Arab Emirates) — Any attack on Iran by the U.S. or Saudi Arabia will spark an “all-out war,” Tehran’s top diplomat warned Thursday, raising the stakes as Washington and Riyadh weigh a response to a drone-and-missile strike on the kingdom’s oil industry that shook global energy markets.

The comments by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif represented the starkest warning yet by Iran in a long summer of mysterious attacks and incidents following the collapse of Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, more than a year after President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew the U.S. from the accord.

They appeared to be aimed directly at U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who while on a trip to the region earlier referred to Saturday’s attack in Saudi Arabia as an “act of war.”

Pompeo, who was in the United Arab Emirates, dismissed Zarif’s remarks, saying: “I was here (doing) active diplomacy while the foreign minister of Iran is threatening all-out war to fight to the last American.” – article.

Okay, then. Let them start it first. The schoolyard bully still doesn’t get it.

They’re desperately goading us into striking them so that they could direct their populations’ attention against us… And away from them.

Right now, with the choking economic sanctions and the impacts that these sanctions are having on Iran, the Iranian People are seeing the Iranian government as the villain. The Iranian people know that their government is shafting them with their defiance against their neighbors, the international community, etc. Wait till the Iranian government fails to sustain pension accounts.

Their legitimacy is hemorrhaging. If we do some serious damage to their country, their government could temporarily get their people’s attention off of them and gain sympathy from the international community… Thus putting themselves in a better bargaining position.

Letting Saudi Arabia determine the type of response was a good move. It keeps Iran as subject to the dirty stares from their neighbors and from the international community.

“The Iranian people are seeing the Iranian government as the villain.”

Wow, you sure seem to have a good grasp on how the Iranians feel about the legitimacy of their government! What are you basing that opinion on? Sounds like you just pulled that statement out of your ass. So this is Trump’s 3D chess move to get the people of Iran to overthrow the government in some future, unspecified timeframe?

Trump’s habit of threatening countries over Twitter and then not doing shit about it sure is making us look strong and legitimate to the international community.

Here’s a fucking idea: let’s make it so Iran stops fucking with oil shipping and bombing Saudi oil fields?

Oh, we gotta 3D chess it, huh? Yea, I thought so.

Helpful Medal: Wow, you sure seem to have a good grasp on how the Iranians feel about the legitimacy of their government! What are you basing that opinion on? Not opinion, but fact. Facts gathered since the last decade doing research on what they say, on how they’ve reacted in the past, and on how they’re reacting now. There is information available pointing out how the Iranian government is reacting to these sanctions. Their attack on Saudi Arabia didn’t come as a surprise. They’re reacting to the effects of the sanctions, and they’re desperately trying to get us to attack them in order for them to have a reason to demonize us… And to get their people’s attention away from the government. I anticipate that they are going to keep pulling these stunts in hopes of getting attacked. Helpful Medal: Sounds like you just pulled that statement out of your ass. Tell that one brain celled activity of yours to quit trying to take you over and to start doing its job so that you could quit posting as if a retarded ghost possesses you. Don’t assume that I’m doing exactly what you’re doing. Like the claim that you pulled out of your ass regarding your “being deployed to Iraq”. As with anything else you said, that statement proved to be false and indicated what everybody else suspected… That you’re full of it. Unlike your claims of being in Iraq (you’re not), my statements are fact, based on information that is already out there. All you have to do is research that information. I won’t post information unless two requirements are met. 1. I’ve done extensive study/research on the topic or I have extensive first-hand experience on the topic… 2. Those who would disagree with me have absolutely no clue about what they’re arguing. Both these requirements have been met with you… Again. Helpful Medal: So this is Trump’s 3D chess move to get the people of Iran to overthrow the government in some future, unspecified timeframe? As President Trump repeatedly stated, Iran should come to the negotiating table and… Read more »

It’s so damned obvious that they’ve been trying to goad us into hitting them for years, they’re that obnoxious kid in the class who HAS TO have any kind of attention he, she or it can get!

Good news! Our new SECDEF, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced that the United States will be sending troops to defend their oil fields from future attacks.

I’m so glad we have President Good Brain on the job to help us navigate the extremely complex and intense world of international diplomacy.
