Pete Buttigieg Chides Gun Owners Who Have ‘Sense of Manhood’ Wrapped Up in Guns

| September 14, 2019

Mayor Pete, the first openly gay Presidential candidate, is officially on the gun-grabbers band wagon with the tired trope of firearms “compensating” for a lack of manhood. This must come as a surprise to the spouses and partners of those of us who do own firearms, and the women who shoot for fun, practical purposes, or both. Don’t get started on Pink Pistols, you’ll just confuse him. One would think as an Afghan Vet and former Naval Reserve Officer he’d have a better appreciation of firearms and the Constitution, and perhaps he does. Either way, he’s now alienated pretty much half of the voting public, and Pete, buddy, Democrats own guns, too.

By: Charlie Spiering

Mayor Pete Buttigieg criticized some gun owners on Friday, suggesting it was sad that their “sense of manhood” depended on owning a gun.

In an interview with TMZ Live on Friday, Buttigieg was asked about the Twitter feud between former Congressman Beto O’Rourke and Texas Republican Representative Briscoe Cain.

After O’Rourke told gun owners that “Hell, yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15? during the Democrat debate on Thursday, Cain dared Beto O’Rourke on Twitter to come and take his AR-15.

Buttigieg agreed with O’Rourke that Cain’s comment on Twitter was a “death threat,” and the South Bend mayor admonished Cain for failing to have a more intelligent conversation about gun issues.

“[I]f it gets to where your sense of manhood is wrapped up in owning a gun, I think that’s where our culture is on the wrong track,” Buttigieg said, referring to the controversy.

Buttigieg said that a gun was effectively “a tool” and should be treated as such.

Threaten to take a man’s property and violate his rights and see what you get. The AR isn’t the only tool in question here. Read the rest of the article at Breitbart.

“Buttigieg said that a gun was effectively “a tool” and should be treated as such.”.. He’s not wrong… thing is, we don’t see any other tools being blamed for their misuse by their owners…

As for a “sense of manhood”, I think mayor buttplug needs to find his, and stop being a little bitch!

So, I’m guessing Mayor butt lover is compensating with another man? Isn’t that the definition of the pot calling the kettle black?

Ret_25X

He is correct to think of firearms as tools. Why that tool is to be singled out is an interesting question.

At the heart of the issue is that he is a “tool” of others in an effort to fundamentally change the world to a socialist utopia where only he and his cronies would wield power and have weapons to enforce their whims.

Drills, screwdrivers, and hose nozzles are not important so they are not to be banned. In fact, in their utopian vision of hell, peasants will no longer have power, so they would not need power tools anyway.

This guy is a tool. He knows he is spouting crap from his douche nozzle and does it anyway because he thinks he will get some reward because it is all about him, all of the time.

The nation can go to hell as long as he gets his.

Like the famous agitators at Berekely is reputed to have said; “I don’t care how many have to be killed as long I get free healthcare”.

The modern democrat is a despicable being, sold entirely to the concept of “you work, I eat”.

USMC Steve

It is not complicated. People at their base are fucked up creatures. Some rise above being knuckleheads, many don’t. But it is always easier to blame an inanimate object, than to be called down and admit that one is substandard in behavior. And you will note that the great majority of people demand gun restriction and confiscation are socialist democrats and liberals, people who by and far never progressed mentally from the 10 year old level. Thus the “it ain’t my fault, it is ——–‘s.”

His service may have been honorable, but now he’s attempting to take a crap all over the Constitution and his oath to defend it.

I personally have no issues at all with his sexual preferences when he keeps it private and away from me and mine. That is his business. I am starting to have issues with this type of lifestyle and the eroding of our rights being forced upon us all. I have personally owned firearms for over 60 years. None of them have ever self discharged. Not.a.single.one….EVER!

I wish people wouls read up on American History and why
this amendment came about. It certainly did not imagine AK47 and other armaments of war, that have killed so so many people of all ages, all sexes and all religions. Absolutely horrible and criminal.
That being said, I must say I WOULD DEFEND WITH MY LIFE YOUR RIGHT TO OWN A RIFLE OR SIMPLE PISTOL. ((HOPEFULLY KEPT SECURE IN A SAFE PLACE)). PLEASE READ THE HISTORY LEADING TO THIS AMENDMENT. WHILE AT IT PLEASE READ GEORGE WASHINGTON’S FAREWELL ADDRESS TO THE COUNTRY.

Fyrfighter

You mean like the Federalist papers? Writings like those of Samuel Adams, etc? Or maybe the fact that people of the time owned private warships, cannons, etc? Or that most of the Founding Fathers were big on technology, including early repeating firearms? You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts, and as such, your statements on American History are at best incorrect and misguided, and at worst, outright lies.
Being as I have nothing else to go on, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, and say it’s the first option, at least this time.
That being said, i truly don’t give a rats ass which weapons you, or anyone else think I should own, as it’s none of your damn business.

“I saved a life. You saved the world”

You need to go back and read that which you claim to have read. The 2nd Amendment is and always was about preserving the ability for the people to fight a tyrannical government.

If anything, the founders would say that “armaments of war” are exactly the arms we have a right to bear!

David

Actually the founding fathers were remarkably concise and prescient – it is clearly stated that citizens must be able to form a well-equipped and disciplined armed force (which means with whatever weaponry is current) and wee not limited to a specific type, like a flintlock, by phrasing it as “keep and bear ARMS”. When battlefield gee-whiz plasma rifles become current… a Well Regulated Militia shall have them.

11B-Mailclerk

One of those founders even used the phrase

“Their swords and every terrible implement of the soldier are the birthright of Americans.”

In context, in situ, the smoothbore musket, bayonet fixed, was a mass-killing machine rivaled only by the long range precision of the rifle. Swords were also how one slaughtered many in rapid succession.

Yes, they meant it. Undiluted 100-proof Liberty.

The Other Whitey

ArmyATC

Buttigieg is correct. A gun is a tool. So why are Democrats blaming a tool for the irresponsible and criminal acts of those who wield it? Wouldn’t the rational person go after the person and not the tool? Does Buttigieg and other Democrats attack hammers when they are used to bludgeon someone or knives when used to stab a person? If not, their position on AR-15s is logically inconsistent and therefore invalid.

Perhaps ‘Mayor Pete’ should stop projecting his “inadequacy” onto others.

As for Beta O’Dork, he has no idea what Rep. Cain meant. It was a play on the old Texas motto “come and take it.” But no one ever accused Beta of being honest or rational.

Poetrooper

A gun is a tool–you gotta love it when a Democrat unintentionally confirms one of our basic arguments against gun control. They know it’s true–it just doesn’t fit their socialist global strategy of disarming all but themselves, so they conveniently ignore it.

Except when they screw up and admit it like this little hypocritical dipshit…

Buttgauge is a pussy REMF’s REMF of a POG. His photo above reminds me of the cook’s helper who had his photo taken on my perimeter on our firebase, with “Spooney” holding an M-60 in a classic John Wayne pose. Also, note in the photo above, he is not wearing one piece of field gear, no body armor, web gear, spare mags, or even a canteen. Just another fobbit posing with an M-4 he likely never fired, other than perhaps in Basic (or its equivalent for Navy Reserve officers).

Poetrooper

rgr769, how presumptuous of you. How can you possibly know he’s not wearing an Obama era, standard issue, olive drab, tactical butt plug?

rgr769

You have me on that point, as they were likely standard issue for the gay caballeros under Commander 0. Wonder if the sailor version came in that blue camo pattern.

Comm Center Rat

You mean Buttigieg wasn’t in direct support of a SEAL platoon in the above photo? LMAO

You can usually tell who is a POG just by a picture of them posing with a standard issued weapon. I only have one picture of me posing with a weapon and that is a RPG. I have plenty of pictures of me with a weapon, but I have all my gear on because they were taken is sector.

What amazes me is the number of people who will say “but, he’s a veteran” as if that gives Buttigieg or any other veteran for that matter, some special expertise on firearms and makes him immune from criticism. As I’ve pointed out to many, simply being a veteran doesn’t make one an expert on anything, nor does it make them immune from valid criticism. That goes for those who try to use their veteran status as a shield to silence dissent and avoid criticism.

To me, being a veteran is an honorable thing. It means we’ve done something the vast majority of our fellow citizens couldn’t or wouldn’t do. We sacrificed to serve something greater than ourselves. We served our country and its citizens. We can justifiably hold our heads up in pride. But that doesn’t make me better than anyone else. It doesn’t make me more special than any other citizen or give my opinions any more weight. Buttigieg, his followers, and their ilk would do well to learn that lesson.

SgtM

I will have you know that I became an expert on the floor buffer. The other day they rented one at work. I entertained myself by watching the kids try to use it. It has been 30 years since I touched one. I got up, told the kids to get out of the way, threw the cord over my shoulder and proceeded to give them a lesson on floor buffing. In 20 minutes I had turned them into squadbay buffer commandos. Brought a tear to my eye.

rgr1480

Damn yeah!!!! Now I remember having to throw the cord over my shoulder.

Before we got the buffer though, we had to use a blanket loaded with an enlistee for ballast, pulled by two other enlistees.

Up and down the aisles …. up and down the aisles.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 A Gang Snipe

That’s the way we did it when I had the 3 months engineering compartment cleaning duty with the cord over your shoulder and dragged another cleaner on a blanket to buff the deck. Didn’t know the Army did the same.

Hate_me

I was a definite NO GO at that station. First time I was ever detailed to buff the floor was during my very first fireguard shift of OSUT at Leonard Wood. That thing hit the walls hard enough to wake up half the joes. They never made me use the buffer, again.

KP was the only detail for me, from then on. All the fatty-cakes I could smuggle… wasn’t a bad time, OSUT.

Dustoff

Cord over the shoulder…..badass.

Most folks treat them like “fun to ride, but I don’t want to be seen on one”

Others, “yeeehaw! Watch -this-!”

The Other Whitey

That’s cool, but I learned mad floor buffing skillz in my first firehouse. That floor was so polished that six men slipped to their deaths! I’ll put my shiny fire station floor up against your shiny barracks floor any day of the week!

By the way, what’s the largest number of guys you’ve seen ride a single buffer simultaneously?

26Limabeans

Saw a guy ride an earth compactor once.
It was a Whacker with a briggs engine.
He slowed it way down by choking the
carb and straddled her backwards.
Walked that thing all over the job site
until the super got wind of it.
They used to call them jumping jacks.

Where should my sense of manhood be wrapped up, Pete? Why don’t you do the (ghey) male equivalent of staying the fuck out of my vagina. The right of the individual to keep and bear arms is spelled out a lot more precisely than any so-called right to privacy… in that document you swore to uphold and protect… so why don’t you grow a pair and fulfill your obligation.

It’s a mystery why Buttigieg would want to do an interview with TMZ. My own impression is that TMZ is primarily of interest if you’re a girly-man, a hip-hop artist named Lil’ D1kW33d $, or one of the Kardashian sisters. It seems like a weird venue to pitch for a serious political campaign. Buttigieg isn’t wrong in saying that a firearm should be a tool, and not an object of fetish to compensate for perceived inadequacy, but that presents things as a simple binary. Some years ago, I remember walking through an exhibit of Japanese samurai helmets at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco. Most dated back to the 17th century, and showed a remarkable variety and attention to detail. If anything, it was a demonstration that the connection between art and arms is both closely coupled, and nothing new. An interesting thing about weapons, including firearms, is that they present a paradox. Objects are typically designed for a singular lethal purpose but can also take on a wide variety of forms. They also, like the fine arts, evolve over time. The word “elegant” has a different meaning for an engineer than it does for, say, an editor of Cosmopolitan. Both might appreciate conceptually how form follows function, but they’re likely to deal in completely different realms of consideration. Another aspect is that engineers tend to not talk about such things very much, and Cosmo editors, or TMZ for that matter, tend to talk about it all the time. Not to go all pointy-headed, but the world of fine art circa 2019 has been preempted by a very tiny slice of society which has turned it into a contrived and insular circle jerk. The result being that creative forms of engineering are derogatorily lumped, if at all, into a category of “commercial” art by someone being in *gasp* the “trades”. This has resulted, at least it seems to me, into a situation where a large segment of the male gender has mostly been shut out of what might otherwise be considered the creative arts. I’d venture that a lot of… Read more »

Anyone who can look at a fine flintlock long rifle of the type by Andres Albrecht, George Schreyer, or Jacob Dickert to name a few, or a finely made Holland & Holland gun and not see the beautiful art in the flowing lines and the intricate engraving doesn’t deserve to be called an artist or an art lover. Guns can be and are the epitome of form and function, art and engineering. To dismiss it simply because it doesn’t rise to the level one calls “art,” or because of political ideology is to spit into the face of master artists and craftsmen.

Perry Gaskill

ATC, to be clear, what I was trying to point out doesn’t have that much to do with decoration, although that can be part of it. More about industrial design than, say, graphic arts. It was about how the same basic function can take a different form.

Sorry if I might not be clear; some of this stuff is difficult to articulate. And again, it’s offered as an alternative to the more limited alternatives presented by Buttigieg which aren’t entirely incorrect.

Poetrooper

Thank you for the above Mr. Gaskill. Sometimes I absolutely love the level of discourse at TAH.

David

Look at an 1860 Army Colt and tell me that isn’t art. An 1858 Remington sings… but the 1860 Colt is an entire opera.

ArmyATC

I love them! I have a pair I take to the range sometimes. Five minutes to load, ten seconds to shoot.

26Limabeans

“The word “elegant” has a different meaning for an engineer”

I use the word to describe hydro electric
power generation. Everything from the
mathamatics, physics and physical plant
are both function and form.

The Stranger

Never worked on hydro, Diesel engine generator sets and small turbine generators running in parallel was my thing. Lots of control work, distribution and transmission equipment. Elegant is a good word to describe some of the control wiring I’ve done over the years. It worked AND it looked “purty”.

11B-Mailclerk

PB (BP?) is on that weird Lefty riff conflating firearms and “manhood”.

I only seem to hear that from them. None of my shooting acquaintances say that dumb-ass creepy stuff.

And as soon as they bring it up, they start talking about wanting to restrict/control/take them.

That has to be in the DSM somewhere, and it is sick stuff.

Perry Gaskill

Mailclerk, it doesn’t surprise me that Buttigieg would play the “manhood” card in the discussion of weapons. It’s been my experience that homosexuals often interpret things with an element of sexuality which wouldn’t be typical of those not in the LGBTQ cohort.

The other question this raises is that of to what extent Buttigieg is offering a projection instead of an observation. Remember Gersh Kuntzman?

https://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/firing-ar-15-horrifying-dangerous-loud-article-1.2673201

Here was a guy who evidently had never been exposed to firearms before, and found the experience of shooting an AR-15 to be traumatic. Somehow, I tend to think there might be a lot more Gersh Kuntzmans in the world than is apparent either in general, or to the TAH crew in particular. It also wouldn’t surprise me if those having such a fear of firearms would view their own phobia as a lack of manhood, and extend it to those who don’t have the same phobia.

Poetrooper

Perry, you probably don’t remember this:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/06/a_seriously_sissified_shooting_story.html

My take on Gersh Kuntzman which I’m sure Jonn cross-posted here, but I can’t seem to find. As I recall it got me more comments at American Thinker than anything I’d posted there to that point.

I agree with your implied premise that there are a lot of Kuntzman’s in Mayor Pete’s world.

What is the term for when a guy with a name like Kuntzman is such a pussy?

The Other Whitey

I wrote a strongly-worded rebuttal (I believe I used some variation of the word “fuck” no less than sixty times—I was rather offended; that slapdick crossed some significant lines with his “temporary PTSD” crap) and sent it to Gershie-bitch. He responded by repeatedly asking for my phone number, which was weird to say the least. I refused and advised him that if the crap he wrote is true, then my voice, being loud and deep, would undoubtedly cause him to shit himself in terror.

Fyrfighter

That’s Fucking Amazing TOW! nicely done..As for your question Poe, I’m gonna say “typecasting”…

ArmyATC

It’s not just gays. In any discussion on guns and gun control, I know that at least once someone will pop up with the “manhood” thing. It’s just what the left does instead of debate. I tell them to stop projecting their own “inadequacy” onto others and then ignore the assholes. There was one clown who simply wouldn’t leave well enough alone. he kept going to that phrase constantly. I finally asked him how he knew. Did he run around jamming his hands into men’s pants? I then told him he couldn’t possibly have done that because a gun owner would have shot him the first time it happened.

11B-Mailclerk

Not at all did I mean “from Gays”. I ment ” from anti-gun” Leftists, if that wasn’t clear.

None of the non-straight folks I have taught to shoot have said that stupid creepy stuff. Only antis on the Left. Not even the “sexual calvinball” types have said it that I have heard.

Weird.

And how about one of my firefighters who I’ve mentioned on TAH before, whose lesbian girlfriend was in the crowd in Las Vegas that took fire from a psychotic leftist fuckstick bent on mass murder? She hasn’t pulled the proverbial trigger yet, but she believes that learning to shoot will go a long way towards getting her girlfriend past her survivor-guilt issues, and has a standing offer from me and the rest of the crew to help when she’s ready. As I posted above, I have a lesbian firefighter on my crew. She’s quite open about it, but not in a confrontational way. In fact, she has a rather brilliant sense of humor about it. She doesn’t mind if somebody uses the phrase “That’s fucking gay” to describe something they don’t approve of, and in fact uses it herself from time to time. Nevertheless, I try to avoid the term in her presence, and she appreciates my consideration in doing so, even if the phrase doesn’t bother her. In the past, I have once told her to get away from a chick she was with, but that was because the bitch was treating her like shit and she deserves better, and I told her so.

I’m open about my Roman Catholic Christian beliefs. I’m a believing Catholic, not a good one. I’m not looking to proselytize, but I’m perfectly willing to discuss it when it comes up. For those who haven’t experienced it, a firehouse dinner table is a forum where solutions to all the world’s problems are discussed, with all experiences welcome. One night, she brought up the rather uninformed idea that Christianity supposedly believes that homosexuals are damned. I told her that while some Christians will say that, Christianity itself doesn’t. In Scripture, the Lord has indeed declared homosexual activity sinful (He doesn’t say anything about homosexuality, just homosexual activity). He also says that no sin is greater or lesser than any other. We are all sinners, hence Jesus hanging on the cross for our redemption. Therefore, no, being gay doesn’t mean she’s automatically going to Hell. Her sexual relationships with other females sinful (and I’ve had a few sinful sexual relationships with various females before I met my wife), but she’s no more of a sinner than me or anyone else for it.

Like you, 11B, I’m scratching my head as to how I’m supposedly an insecure basher.

It may have to do with a few passages in the bible where it is very specific that God does not approve of homosexuals. Bobby and Pete are staking out the screaming nutjob extremist gun control position so that the rest of the Dems seem reasonable and moderate when they roll out THEIR gun control proposals.

Watch in a few weeks and Biden, Warren and Sanders will move away from the ban and confiscate position. The new “moderate” Democrat position will be:
“We’re not going to confiscate anybody’s guns. We just want common sense gun safety regulations like universal background checks, ERPOs, people will need to register the assault weapons and high capacity magazines and get a license to own a gun just like a car.” And the media will run stories that only white nationalists are saying Democrats want to confiscate guns.

Shame about that boating accident I had this weekend isn’t it?

Me and some quicksand last year while I was coming back from shooting. You see, I had all of my guns in a wagon I waS pulling behind me and before i KNEW IT…

Your conclusion certainly fits the usual pattern of Marxist Revolution 101. Concur.

But it is a “use opportunity”. That rage-puppy went off the script, and some of his peers are castigating him for it, in an effort to be your ” reasonable middle”. He screwed up, and knows it.

The counter is to make them own him. That short clip is going to hang around their necks, for decades to come, like a rotting Albatross.

We should thank him. He single-handedly just decided half the fence sitters on “guns”.

Half of the fence-sitters either just red-pilled and turned away, or “woke” and will double down on loud and stupid.

Both help us.

Nucsnipe

He can’t take posession of my gun, doesn’t he have a felony conviction on his record? DUI and eluding, if I recall correctly.

The Stranger

No, it’s that phony Mexican furry that was arrested for DUI and fleeing the scene. Also breaking and entering, but his daddy the judge fixed that shit up for him. Although Beta O’cuck is saying much the same thing so I can understand the confusion.

A Proud Infidel®™

The epitome of “White Privilege” that libtards bawl about!

Mason

I think you mean “privilegio blanco” in the case of the phony Mexican.

David

His daddy was off the bench by the time Beto broke into UTEP.

The Stranger

What about the DUI? Also, just because he’s off the bench doesn’t mean he still doesn’t have influence. You’re naive if you think that he didn’t pull some strings.

DaveP.

1- Actually, this pretty much started with Hillary. That was the first election I can remember where the Dems didn’t put together a “Sportsmen for (fill in blank)” astroturf group to reassure the trash that ‘…(fill in blank) wasn’t gonna take your guns, that’s just crazy talk!’ Even Obama’s second term featured one such, I remember their radio commercials.
Candidate Clinton made no such attempt. She didn’t talk up her plans for gun control a lot, but I figured that was for the same reason a shark doesn’t have to talk up his plans for dinner.

Second, maybe I have never worn a uniform in my life… but if I needed advice on manliness, I’m positive that the phone book is full of better people to ask than Pete Buttgeig.

FatCircles0311

A degenerate tyrant. How woke.

Stack up motherfucker.

Drew

He said “if.” It was hardly a blanket statement. No need to go off half cocked.

A Proud Infidel®™

Bootygig is a practicing homosexual and he’s trying to advise ME about Manhood? He and all the other D-rat candidates are living, breathing proof that liberalism is a Mental Disorder.

Ex-PH2

Gee, manhood? Isn’t that kind of the pot calling the kettle black?

First of all, even I know he’s holding that weapon incorrectly, which says “wimpy, wimpy, wimpy’ to me. ‘Smatter, Butthead? Gun too heavy for you?

Second, he obviously is prejudiced against women in general as a species, because any of his references indicate clearly that he thinks Us Girlz don’t know nuttin’ about ’em, and that add with the Army gal who got hit when she was deployed, almost lost her right arm, and now does charity work, gives her more “manhood” than he ever dreamed of having.

Third, the most manliest guy I ever ran into was a skating instructor who was tough as nails, floated like a butterfly, stung the ice like a bee, and had an adoring audience of kindergarteners. And EVERYONE knew he was gay, because he said so right up front. He and his boyfriend hoped they could get married legally some day (I hope they did by now) because they both wanted to raise a family.

If that isn’t MANHOOD, then what is it? Is it peanut butter? Coffee cake? Spam in a can?

Geez, this guy is so STOOPID, he doesn’t even know he’s alive.

However, I am encouraged now to go to the local gun range and ask about their policies for rental, because I have no idea what would suit me best, but I do have enough Swarovski crystals left, in all colors, to match it to my Hello! Kitty! pink camo jacket. And I consider a personal weapon to be an investment of time, as well as money.

Ex-PH2

I’m almost ba-a-a-ack!

Retired Grunt

I honestly dont know how many more trips around the sun I have left. I can learn to love my worst enemy or even hate my best friend… I’m not going to waste one single second I have left on hating anyone. Now, someone challenges the constitution I’m right beside you… I’m going to fight. You don’t even have to ask. People say that this great experiment is dying…. I say what child doesn’t make mistakes. In the history of humanity we are but infants. Nothing and nobody is perfect I even believe that’s why we don’t read more about the childhood years of Jesus, for you Christians. Brothers and Sisters, we ALL see what’s happening and we ALL know what’s coming. We ARE the voice of reason. We ARE the only people in this great nation who know what war really costs. I don’t care if you’re a cook on a aircraft carrier or a delta operator we KNOW. Its almost time that we stand up with one voice and say “NO MORE”. We all took an oath… we know it, we hold it true to our hearts. I was not the greatest of soldiers, never could have been but my oath is still valid. Just ranting again…. sorry..

“I saved a life, you saved the world”

GDContractor

While I agree with your sentiments, you have to admit that in this context involving “manhood”, Pete left himself open for full-spectrum criticism.

Retired Grunt

Yeah, he kinda did…dammit!!!!

Ex-PH2

Well, RG, I posted what I did because Buttigieg is clearly a social moron, not particularly bright, and seems deadset on saying the wrong things, period. His idiotic remarks about “manhood” make that clear. I don’t “hate” him – whatever that means – because he’s not worth the effort. I see him as an opportunistic attention-grabbing dolt, who probably makes these gaffes all the time.

That makes him look quite stupid, as well as unaware of a lot of things, which he is.

That is all.

Retired Grunt

Point taken…. hate is a weird word. Thx ph2

USMC Steve

Retired Grunt would be correct, except for the fact that this guy and his campaign staff have been drumming for his being a homosexual to get him elected. There is a portion of the voting public who will vote for him because of that, he is trendy, and edgy and all that. He isn’t. He is simply a deviant, and there is nothing special or exeptional or noteworthy in that. But if you define who you are by the fact that you fuck men, you are a really crappy person. It simply is what it is, and it will not make him a better qualified president than a straight person. This happened when Hillary ran, and folks just thought it was a keen idea to vote for her simply because she has a pussy. Same for Obama, people voted for him simply because they believed he was black, thus trendy and spiffy and all that. Of course, by his allegation, he wasn’t black, he was a mulatto, but no one noticed that apparently. In short, if HE makes his homosexuality an issue, which he mose certainly did, we can address it. And, no, we DON’T have to be okay with it.

FK

Seems to me after reading the comments on here and from the use of their vulgarity and nastiness that this article has certainly threatened severals manhood thus proving Mayor Pete’s point.

A Proud Infidel®™️

When screeching libtards like Buttigieg insist that the populace be disarmed I automatically assume that they SUCK at governing.

You lose troll, now go back under your bridge,

ArmyATC

Being angry about people wanting to trample our rights is somehow a threat to one’s “manhood?” I think you are simply projecting your own “inadequacy” onto others in a vain and pathetic attempt to soothe your fragile ego.

The Other Whitey

Are your delicate sensibilities hurt because some of us don’t talk like your preschool teacher? Forgive me if I’m less than impressed.

Retired Grunt

I will give him one thing, at least in the posted picture his forefinger is not inside the trigger guard.

USMC Steve

I have to comment on the photo he has there. He was a REMF intel officer in the Navy when he was overseas. Probably never went outside the wire except to go home. And he NEVER went out on any combat action. The Navy doesn’t even teach them to use an AR/M16/M4 unless they are special operations types. Which he ain’t.

MCPO USN

Check that!

All NECC commands shoot quite often, IE Seabees and Riverine.

And Mayor Meatgazer is not a true representative of our service.

Retired Grunt

Ladies and gentlemen,

I submit to you this. Stop….. stop calling REMF’s that name….for all sakes, we ALL served I was an infantry guy…. I could have been a nuke specialist on a navy sub. My god. I wish I would have been. I’d be making money hand over fist. Stop the names, stop the madness, each and every one of you are BETTER than that. God bless….

“I saved a life, you saved the world”

In Viet of the Nam many a REMF met their fate
at the end of a rocket. Doing their job or
asleep in the barracks, there was no safe ground.

I don’t have a problem with fobbits and POG’s as long as they don’t portray themselves as steely eyed trigger pullers who were “in the shit,” when in reality their principal hazard was an incoming mortar round when walking from the FOB to the DEFAC.

Retired Grunt

I was NEVER a steely eyed trigger puller, more like an oh my God what the hell did I just get myself into trigger puller…. and thankfully it was the men I had the fortune to be in command of that actually did most of that trigger pulling stuff… I have actually got a really funny story about a mortar attack and a combat roll…. lol

“I saved a life, you saved the world. “

Retired Grunt

Fobbits and POG’s… how about soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines.. I like those names better. Every one of those people took the same oath you did and come hell or high water I bet those same soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines would be right beside you if you called and needed them. I know I would if I could, but I’m just one person. God bless you all.

“I saved a life, you saved the world. “

My take on it is that Buttigieg and O’Rourke know they don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the nomination.

Some have said their bellicose rhetoric on guns is a way to try to gain themselves enough “street cred” to win a spot in a prospective Dem administration (maybe as an AG) but I don’t think it’s that calculating, I think it’s just a desperate attempt to stay in the news.

Without guns, both Buttigieg and O’Rourke have nothing really to talk about.

A Proud Infidel®™️

IMHO if it weren’t for 0’Rourke’s FIL’s big buckets of money he couldn’t have even gotten elected to be a Sidewalk Sweeper.
