ISIS bombs wedding party in Kabul

| August 21, 2019

You’ve probably already seen this on the news. It’s the second time the ISIS wedding bombers have hit a massed gathering of people who want to celebrate something good.

If they run out of weddings, they’ll just find other targets.

https://nypost.com/2019/08/18/isis-claims-responsibility-for-bombing-at-kabul-wedding-that-killed-63/

63 dead and 200 wounded…. And for what?

From the article: The deadly explosion followed an earlier bombing in Kabul on Aug. 7, when 14 people were killed and 145 wounded. The previous blast occurred on the same road as the wedding attack and had targeted government security forces.

“Devastated by the news of a suicide attack inside a wedding hall in Kabul,” presidential spokesman Sediq Seddiqui said in a Twitter post. “A heinous crime against our people; how is it possible to train a human and ask him to go and blow himself (up) inside a wedding?!!” – article.

How, indeed?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2019/08/19/islamic-state-is-far-defeated-heres-what-you-need-know-about-its-affiliate-afghanistan/?noredirect=on

From the WaPo article: The bombing came as the U.S. and the Taliban work to finalize a peace deal that would end the 18-year war in Afghanistan. The Trump administration’s top negotiator presented a draft agreement to President Trump Friday that outlines a plan to withdraw thousands of American troops from the country — a move some fear would allow the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, to gain an even bigger footprint. – article

The last “count” or guesstimate for the population density of ISIS was somewhere between 14,000 and 18,000, located in scattered areas where they took sanctuary from US/Iraqi/Kurdish fighters. Now we’re leaving, withdrawing troops and equipment from Iraq and Syria, and ISIS is not dead, not even in a comatose state. If you want the snake dead, you cut off the head, then cook the rest of it. Doesn’t mean they’re gone. The females lay eggs, you know.

“…they’ll just find other targets.”

PREACH… the choir is listening. There will NEVER be peace among Mooslems. Just pieces, since as we all know, it is the religion of pieces. We’ve had this conversation before. Those people, even before the pedophile split them even more in the AD 600s, have been killing one another for literally THOUSANDS of years. The 18 years we have been pouring out American Blood and Treasure is just a blip to them. It is a WAY OF LIFE for them and they know no other.

It is way yonder past time for us to get our boots off the ground, pull all of our material, money, and whatever and GTFO. I asked a few weeks ago if anyone had an idea of how much money has been pissed away there. And let’s not forget the tens of thousands of casualties we’ve suffered. I would venture to say that the frustration level with our troops that have made multiple deployments there is even higher than mine. The Service Member starting basic training for deployment there soon was not born when this sh^t show started. Grrrrr

A fantasy of mine… “The Wheel of Misfortune”. The Wheel looks similar, but the names of predominantly Islamic cities are on it, including Mecca, Medina, and any other ‘holy’ site. The Moslems like to say ‘It is only a tiny percentage of Islamists’ that are the problem, but they hide in the Moslem population, and they know who the radical imams are and where they work. Make the Moslems responsible for policing themselves… no terrorist incidents, no problem. But when they start their usual bullshit in the name of Allah, we have a game show that night – and spin the wheel. One missile flight time later, the named city is a parking lot, and we hope they can start policing their radicals more effectively next time. If they get REALLY unlucky,Mecca comes up first.

I know it couldn’t or wouldn’t work, but there is only one way to stop terrorists from hiding in the general populace, and that is to make the populace reject them. Any other ideas are invited…

The problem with your calculus is that the true fanatics will just use that to draw fire, probably against folks they don’t like anyway, create more martyrs and the next round of fanatics.

Selective terror might actually work, targeting whole families / tribes for extinction, but genocidal terror against wide swaths of population almost certainly won’t.

And before anyone pooh-poohs the “selective” approach, it is how -they- keep their own killing down to manageable levels, and how the successful rulers in those cultures maintain order.

Example: starting in 2002, the US declares war on the bin Laden -tribe- and extinguishes most of it, and the tribes that shelter it. Pretty soon, the neighbors either throw BLs under our bus, or offer to sell them out, or bribe us. Pretty soon, the BL survivors cough up OBL and a bunch of “blood money” and say “enough!”.

Not for the squeamish, but demonstrably less carnage than what we did.

Think Globally, zap Tribally.

By choosing targets randomly, they run the risk of their own people getting targeted. Not to mention that being the cause of Medina or Mecca getting flattened would cause Moslems to cpndemn you.

I didn’t say it eas practical. Just entertaining.

They have their own breakfast cerial? Who knew…

Before we all feel so superior, remember that the first recorded killing was between two of God’s children, done out of envy. Thucydides, who knew something about the subject, said that states go to war out of fear, honor, or interest, and he was talking about the wars between the first recorded democracies (granted, they were all pagans). Clausewitz said that war was just politics carried out by other means. He was clearly a Christian, but he also came up with the concept of total, or absolute (some of his followers would say perfect) war.

These are all fundamental concepts of Western thinking about war. In other words, Children of the West have been busily killing each other for millennia as well. Of course, we have been better at it because of all our science and technology and whatnot. Check my facts, but without looking it up I will say that WWII has the record for total deaths with WWI not far behind, with the only Muslims (other than British and French colonial troops) being Ottomans…

Again, check my facts, but I think the deadliest straight up Muslim-Muslim war was Iran/Iraq, and that barely topped a million deaths. Amateurs.

So, before we all get hurt falling off our high horse, please remember that humans are humans, and humans like to kill each other. If we want to win this war, we have to understand both ourselves and our enemy (that’s Sun Tzu, I know, he’s not Western). Thinking of Muslims simplistically does not help.

That said, yes, ISIS hates Shia more than they hate the West, and they are more than happy to kill as many as they can whenever possible.

Top of the mayhem list is usually occupied by the apostate, not the unbeliever.

This is true of many belief systems.

What is the unforgivable sin in Christianity?

11B-Mailclerk

Despair

reddevil

Yes, but…

Bottom line, it is rejecting the Holy Spirit despite full knowledge of God’s nature. Another way to put it would be apostasy.

We’re not so different, us and the Muslims. After all. they revere Christ as much as Muhammed and Moses…

Mark 3:28-29, “’Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies that people utter will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin”

“The sins against the Holy Ghost are commonly said to be six: despair, presumption, impenitence, obstinacy, resisting truth, and envy of another’s spiritual welfare.”

timactual

Yes, humans are humans, and some of them like to kill each other. But, as far as I know, only Islam says that is a good thing and that God wants us to do it to please him.

A Proud Infidel®™️

True, there are verses in the koran that call for muslims to exterminate non believers as well as those who convert from islam to another Religion. Conversion from islam is called “Apostasy” which is a Capital Offense under sharia law.

reddevil

I don’t want this to turn in to a huge religious debate, but have you read much of the Old Testament (excerpt below)?

The point is that in the grand scheme of things, in the modern world, we in the West have killed more Westerners than any Muslim ever thought about killing, and we do it with a casual ease, and quite often with a firm conviction that God wants it. How many people are murdered in a slow weekend in the US between Chicago and Detroit alone (assuming there are no mass shootings, let alone two).

Deuteronomy 20:
16However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.

Docduracoat

You have a good point is that there are some pretty horrible things in the old testament.
All those tribes that you are to kill that are listed in the Bible are no longer in existence.
So in the modern age we are no longer commanded to do such horrible things

reddevil

Not sure that everyone agrees with you. There are plenty of Christians out there that have a favorite Bible verse they use to justify some pretty horrible stuff. Many slave owners thought it was God’s plan.

Good thing our pussy-ass CiC is pulling out and working out a deal with the Taliban. Whatever happened to “we don’t negotiate with terrorists?” He actually criticized Obama for that. What a hypocritical shitheel.
