An Update to That Old Scam About NoGas

| April 13, 2019

Remember this story? The one about the homeless vet giving his last $20 to some woman who had run out of gas?  The first clue, if anyone paid attention, was “out of gas”.  Who in the blue-eyed world runs out of gas these days? Cars will tell you in vocables that they are low on gas, or beep at you pathetically to get your attention. With a gas rating of generally 22MPG, if you can’t make a complete trip on a 16-gallon tank, you’re in the desert somewhere.

“The trio gained widespread recognition, and more than 14,000 donors contributed through GoFundMe, ostensibly to help Bobbitt. But it was all a scam, Burlington County prosecutors said, intended to enrich the three co-conspirators.

GoFundMe has said it refunded the donations.

Authorities began investigating in 2018 after Bobbitt sued the couple for allegedly not giving him the money.” – Article

It was so wonderful that it brought in $400,000++ in donations through Go Fund Me. Then it turned out to be a scam, and the three participants or co-conspirators were arrested for fraud. Now the guy who was the homeless vet has received his comeuppance. He gets to spend some time in jail – five years of time he will never get back.

I guess he won’t be “homeless” for a while.

Hack Stone

Can any of that Go Fund Me Cash Get transferred to his prison commissary account?

Jay

400K? Thats alot of unfiltered Pall Malls and Baby Ruths

Hack Stone

He can save a lot by purchasing his I Can’t Believe It’s Not KY Jelly in bulk.

Friend

I thought he got probation. ..

Since he is not going to a PITA prison on state charges, I guess Hack doesn’t need to start a fundraiser to purchase him the cell-block size container of “I Can’t Believe It’s Not K-Y.” But if he goes to the slammer on the fed charges, we can revisit the issue.

Harry

He got five years probation – jail if he screws up.

I’m betting it’s only a matter of time until he blows it again, but we’re talking about New Jersey where I’m sure they’ll only tack on more Probation.

All three of then are subject to federal charges of wire fraud and money laundering.

5th/77th FA

Should of locked all three of them up for grand theft.

Dickheads!

First, I never saw the question answered: Was Bobdick really a Marine? Second, she was/is trailer trash that was making decent coin and benefits at a State job (that is pretty much permanent unless you fuck up like she did) who got mixed up with an 11 years older gambling degenerate who bought her “nice things”.

The crime these three boobs drummed up is not too far away from getting short changed on a drug deal and calling the cops to complain about the dealer stiffing you…. Fucking maroons!

God how I love Jersey! And yes our governor looks like Fire Marshal Bill….

Outcast

Although I believe I either read or heard some where that no proof was found as to his being a Marine let alone being really homeless, I hope that some one can show real proof as to both. This just further enhances problems for the many vets who are in dire straights as well as homeless.

Jonn posted about it here, he was a Marine:

Mason

Barely… At least he passed the Gunga Dan line.

But he was demoted to E-1 a few months before they kicked him to the curb, and he never deployed anywhere in his 14 months AD.

Thanks thebesig. That’s the first I’ve seen that. So he earned his EGA and spent enough time in the Corps to enjoy a cup of coffee and was shown the door to begin his life using his “vet” status to pull at heartstrings everywhere. My kinda guy. He’s a Fucking douche….

Club Manager, USA ret.

Had a guy wearing an Army hat approach me outside of the Pine Bluff staples yesterday. Said can you help an Army veteran get something to eat. I said let’s see your DD 214. He replied didn’t have one but he had some sort of a VA card I had never heard of. Then he saw my US Army retired license plate and decided to hot foot it someplace else. From his age he was not in the Army anytime lately.

OldManchu

yeah… but… did he have PTSD?
