DA Drops Charges Against Stabbing Suspect

BEND, OR — The Deschutes County District Attorney says he will not pursue charges against a woman who allegedly stabbed her husband, Tuesday evening. Jeannie Dallas was arrested after the attack, which sent her husband to the hospital.After John Dallas was treated and released, he was also arrested for a probation violation, as well as assault and strangulation charges related to previous incidents involving his wife.
D.A. John Hummel reviewed the evidence and says after enduring assaults for years, including that day, she acted in self-defense to prevent further abuse

Off-Duty Memphis Cop Shoots, Kills Road-Rage Attacker Who Stabbed Him
HORN LAKE, Miss. (AP) – Police say an off-duty officer was stabbed and another man was fatally shot after a road rage dispute between them escalated in Mississippi.
News outlets report the Memphis, Tennessee, police officer is in critical condition after the altercation Tuesday evening in Horn Lake.
Horn Lake police say the Memphis officer was off duty when he and the other driver became angry and stopped at a Walgreens parking lot. Police don’t believe there were other people inside the two cars.

Police: Three men break into wrong home, confronted by armed homeowner
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – Three men are facing charges after police said they broke into a Dubuque home intending to assault a man, but the suspects entered the wrong house and were confronted by an armed homeowner.
Police responded to a home in the 1600 block of Main Street at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday following a report of a home invasion. The homeowner told police he heard someone slamming on his front door and attempting to enter his home. He went to another area of his house to retrieve a handgun, returned to the entrance and confronted the three suspects that had entered his home. The suspects fled the home once they realized the homeowner had a gun.
Hunter Poole, 20; Laterian Williams, 20; and Antonio Vilchis, 20, all of Dubuque, were arrested a short time later. Police said the men had entered the wrong home and the homeowner was not the man they planned to confront.

Napa police shooting: Body cam footage appears to show driver firing first

The Napa County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday released body-worn camera footage from a weekend police shooting that killed an armed motorist, and it appears to show that the motorist fired at the deputy first before she shot back and killed him.Napa County sheriff’s Deputy Riley Jarecki was on solo patrol Sunday night when she checked on a driver parked on the 1100 block of Henry Road in a southern part of the county, said Henry Wofford, a sheriff’s spokesman.
Jarecki was conducting a vehicle check, where deputies search to see if occupants of a vehicle require help or if there is something “nefarious” going on inside, Undersheriff Jon Crawford said in a Wednesday afternoon news conference.
The two talked for a few minutes before Jarecki asked to look inside of the red Honda that 43-year-old Javier Hernandez Morales was driving, Crawford said.
In the 48-second clip, from the passenger side, Jarecki shines a bright flashlight into the car parked on the 1100 block of Henry Road.

This image, captured by a Napa County SheriffÕs Department body camera, is from a video showing Deputy Riley Jarecki shooting and killing Javier Hernandez Morales on Feb. 17 after Hernandez Morales fired first. Jarecki was not injured. Hernandez Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.

Agreed. Unfortunate that she was forced to shoot – but I’m glad the perp is the one who no longer needs oxygen.
Typical reaction of some that seems common in the world today. Women are only good for cooking, cleaning and having babies. They also are supposed to have a job so they can support the family and the male does not have to work. Well as this dumb-ass learned the hard way and hopefully a lot of others in the future will learn the same way. Women are far more than just a second class citizen, as this group seems to think, they can hold their own in any work place and in cases like this one are better at it than you were in your seamy life.
I totally disagree with you! We here at TAH honor women every day and hold them all in high honor. We do not believe that women wear white in their wedding so they match the kitchen appliances! The thread seems to have came off track as to the group I refer to is the group who’s mind set is those that are narrow minded as to women. Yes they are in plain site every day especially in larger towns and cities. At any given time I have seen them usually come into a restaurant where their woman, yes I will say their woman as they act like they own them, is working and have her give them the money they have earned and then leave. Easy to spot with tattoo’s, jewelry and expensive shoes and cloths. Group in the comment made is a referral to the some mentioned in opening statement. As to any disparaging women post I will not stoop that low to bring that subject up as am not sure some subject matters covered by site are more ones that bring up more nightmares than any reference as to their possibilities of being true “Women”. There are better descriptions that could be used when referring to at least 4 ongoing subject matters as to postings.

Gonna have to run through this apology letter a few times as some of what is said does not come to a clear point on what is being said, the apology comes through loud and clear as does the plea for help for loved ones. Some other groups might need to read the letter and quit having others coming forward telling us what a great person some one was before they got room temperature. If this is the story I’m thinking of is that the dead bad guy was here illegally again after being deported 3 times before. At least now, he will not be wasting taxpayers money giving him 3 hots and a cot. Phucker!

As to the 2/4/0 for the day, if you might be contemplating range time, here that idea is up to you. Yesterday, long range practice was limited as was between 1/4 and 1/2 mile and ground was frozen and the ice made for one to wear light Camo to blend in with surroundings. Today is still cold and not sure range is open as was around 1/2 moisture fell, shoveled it off sidewalks at house and neighbors, not sure if they have done it at range. Today to blend in would be best to wear white as that 1/2 inch moisture measures almost 5 inches of white stuff on ground. Use cheap arrows if that is your preference as that will keep cost of lost arrows in white stuff down.
