John Garofalo; fake SEAL on Fox News

| November 8, 2017

We’ve written about John Garofalo a few times since he was busted by Don Shipley after he appeared on Fox News talking about his glass sculpture that he was creating for the President. That report has been removed from Fox’ website, but here it is if you missed it;

Well our partners at Military Phonies went and got his records from the National Personnel Records Center to document his claims that he was a wounded Navy SEAL who served in Vietnam. His claims go back at least three years.

Here’s a shot of the time in 2015 when he lied to Dee Snider;

Here are his actual records;

He spent four years in the Navy as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate, leaving as an E-4. No SEAL training, no Purple Hearts, no service in Vietnam. His only overseas deployment was to Spain.

Is it just me, or are fake SEALs really cheaper by the dozen these days?

OldManchu

They are to the point of getting boring. Where have all the Ranger Regiment phonies gone?

Carlton G. Long

The Liar of Lenoir set the Ranger bar way too high.

mr. sharkman

Teamguys are too cool and professional when confronted with phonies. Thus the continuing swarm of phony Teamguys.

Rangers are fvcking scary even when passed out on leave.

The Ranger Rgt. is basically Animal House with guns.

Seriously, you haven’t lived until you’ve drunk with Rangers from 2 different battalions as they try to see who can nail the most fat chicks in a given location in 1 weekend.

I cannot properly describe the barely controlled aggression that Rangers have.

I am glad as hell they are on our side.

And I pity any MFer stupid enough to claim service as a Ranger once the real Rangers lock on to him.

DGW

There seems to be a correlation with people claiming their association with what is shown on TV. How many shows covering the SEALs lately?

—–Sigh—–
I hate these fucks…

Combat Historian

Spain in 1966 was ruled by Francisco Franco, who was a military strongman JUST LIKE South Vietnam’s Nguyen Cao Ky…

Spain in 1966 had to deal with a low-level insurgency from Basque separatist, JUST LIKE South Vietnam had to deal with the Viet Cong…

Thus, Garofalo’s service in Spain was JUST LIKE serving as a SEAL in South Vietnam…

(sarc)…(snark snark)…

thebesig

He had a National Defense Service Medal. After his service in the Navy, he had a long stint as a member of the unorganized militia of the United States. That, sadly, was not enough for him. 🙄

Martinjmpr

He lied to Dee Snider?

That’s pretty twisted, sister! 😀

Deplorable B Woodman

(guffaw!!!)

11B-Mailclerk

Well we’re not gonna take it, anymore….

OWB

Guess they aren’t in the same gang – but is somebody in trouble for giving the wrong hand sign?

CWORet

LOL!!!

OldManchu

That’s pretty worthless and weak of them.

Hondo

He should drop and give Dee 20 . . . .

OAE CPO USN Ret

A SEAL pin?!?! On your poser vest?!?!?

David

4 years. In those days that makes him a volunteer, not a draftee… sigh. Why crap on it?

Green Thumb

Maggot.

Ex-PH2

4 years active and he kicks himself in the teeth.

Asshole.

A Proud Infidel®™

He fucketh himself.

Bobo

Nothing says bad ass SEAL like an non-aircrew AB assigned to a platform without a tail hook in Rota.

RM3(SS)

Exactly. 4 years in the Navy, zero sea time. I heard Rota was a good liberty port, not the P.I. but still….

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

The closest I got to Spain was in 1964 during Operation Steel Pike/Spike? off of Seville Spain. Liberty ports were in La Pallice France and Plymouth England where the taxis drove on the wrong side of the road.

Atkron

I’ve got nothing…

Well, just wow! Instead of being a real deal SEAL, he was a land based aircraft parking attendant. I guess that is not very impressive on a leather motorcycle vest. Does he have a Harley and a doo rag, as well? Too bad he is not claiming he was a CPO, honorary or otherwise. He needs to up his game.

E4 Mafia For Life.

Having trouble finding a replacement Army SEAL pitchfork. I’ve tried North Korea Medals dot com and Muammar Gaddafi Collectibles. No luck. Can anyone tell me the right position of the Valor ‘V’ device on the NDSM and is it gold for a second award? I’m going to get a pleather or distressed vinyl motorcycle vest and a service goat. Probably trade in my BMW R1200 for a Vespa scooter. I should be able to mount my swim fin case and floaties to the fender. Maybe place some shoulder boards on my vest with braided tassels.

USN MCPO

Try the Manuel Noriega Platinum Series. V devices no extra charge.

mr. sharkman

I started my career in the Teams as a point guy.

As for this fvckhead claiming service in Vietnam as a Teamguy, look up Billy Machen and then pound some rum and call on the Karma Police to fvck this guy.

Stephen McCartney

As always..it is the “bling they wear” that tips most of us off he is a fake. Wonder when phony SEAL urchins will wear motorcycle vests adorned with aviation bosun’s mate logos and patches. It would be OK by me and also be hopefully honest Maybe an HON DISCH rocker as well. All honest and just OK to be proud as long as you really served. CAPT Bones USN (ret)

mr. sharkman

Fleet Bosun’s mates don’t have to prove their toughness and fortitude to anyone, at least they shouldn’t have to.

Whenever I see one of the ‘new’ ‘reality shows’ I wish they’d do where where a guy with a camera followed a Bosun’s Mate, or a BT, etc. for 24 hrs. of an ‘average’ ‘day’ of work in the fleet.

Of the times I found myself as an an out-of-place or simply lost Teamguy aboard a warship, I think all my Budweiser did for me with the roving Bosun’s Mates was to convert ‘Get the fvck out of the way’ to ‘Get out of the way’. 😉
