McAuliffe’s lies

Virginia’s Governor Carpetbagger Terry McAuliffe told a Black Lives Matter activist and podcast radio host, DeRay Mckesson, that the state police had conducted raids before the events in Charlottesville last weekend, and that they had found weapons caches that had been stashed around the city.
According to REASON, the state police admitted that they conducted searches, but that they had found no such caches;
“The governor was referring to the briefing provided him in advance of Saturday’s rally and the extra security measures being taken by local and state police,” [Corinne Geller, a spokesperson for the Virginia State Police] tells Reason. “As a safety precaution in advance of August 12, such searches were conducted in and around Emancipation and McIntire Parks. No weapons were located as a result of those searches.”
The Virginia State Police also disputed McAuliffe’s claims that Virginia State Police were underequipped to deal with the heavily armed militia members at Saturday’s rally.
“The governor was referencing the weapons and tactical gear the members of various groups attending the rally had on their persons,” Geller says. “I can assure you that the Virginia State Police personnel were equipped with more-than-adequate specialized tactical and protective gear for the purpose of fulfilling their duties to serve and protect those in attendance of the August 12 event in Charlottesville.”
This is right up there with his remark that 93 million Americans are killed everyday from gun violence.
Reason also points out that an interview that McAuliffe did with the New York Times after the events in Charlottesville, had to be heavily edited when McAUlliffe falsely claimed that 80% of the protesters were armed with semi-automatic weapons. “You saw the militia walking down the street, you would have thought they were an army,” he said.
Virginia deserves a truthful executive in the governor’s mansion and Syracusan Terry McAullife is not truthful – he’s more interested into scaring his constituency with his lies.
Thanks to AnotherPat for the tip.

He leans politically to the left, Jonn. What do you expect from someone like that, truth? Few with 3 or more working brain cells are that naive.
More to the point, he was part of the Clinton administration. Truth to him is like garlic to a vampire.
He learned to lie with a straight face from Billy Jeff…
I wonder if a hot poker up his ass would burn out the lies?
“Leans to the left” Hondo? If that ass “leans” any further, he’ll be “lying” down, pun very much intended
His grasp of statistics is so – well, LAME!
McAuliffe is completely lame, anyway. He’s angling for a congressional seat, unless I miss my guess. Nicki might have more to say about him and his idiocy, but he should be sent back where he came from.
His leaning are more indicative of a serious inner ear dysfunction.
I’m still wondering what happened to all those IBEW retirement funds he was responsible for that just up and disappeared.
Just another example of why there needs to be term limits. McAwful is also calling for the removal of ALL Confederate statues in Richmond, right on the heels of Al Sharptons call to defund the Jefferson Memorial (because he had slaves and all).
The Virginia governor is term limited – they get one term and then they have to move along. Historically, they’ve moved on to the US Senate.
He will be running for President. Va already has two well ensconced shit-weasels in office. Neither one will move aside for him.
McAwful & Hillary ticket in 2020?
McAwful is a sycophantic Clinton lap-dog, so he’ll have to have Hillary involved somehow, somewhere…
Seems to me he was a New York Clintonista who came to VA when she became SecState and bought the election. For those who are historically challenged and don’t remember the post-Civil War term “carpetbagger”, I give you Terry McAuliffe.
Shack.
Terry McAuliffe carpetbagged the VA Governor’s office JUST LIKE Hillary carpetbagged a Senate seat from NY.
Are you saying there is a pattern of behavior here amongst (at least some) Democrat politicians?
Good reason not to underestimate his ambitions.
Hillary Carpetmunched her way into the NY Senate seat maybe, that and she bought a Yankees baseball cap and that was enough to consider her a New Yorker apparently.
(Yeah, you’re right about that. I stand corrected).
Robert E. Lee, a man of truth, dignity, honor and duty, weeps.
Pretty much better than nearly all of the Northern Generals, and a decent human being, IMO. He just chose the wrong side.
Well now. All those extremely dangerous sentient weapon systems and none of them became animated, felt threatened and mowed down the crowd?!
We got lucky.
These leftist scare tactics are just so transparent and ugly.
Are you referring to the Robocop or the Terminator?
Both were homicidal, presumptively cisgender, white males, so, yes.
“Reason also points out that an interview that McAuliffe did with the New York Times after the events in Charlottesville, had to be heavily edited when McAUlliffe falsely claimed”
So, when a democrat has an interview, they edit out all the false statements, but when Trump or a Republican says something false, they only show the false stuff?
Makes me think this Gov and his minions had something to do with the counter-protestors getting an approved permit to be there the same day, incited them to show up, influenced the police to let things happen, etc etc. But hey, don’t forget that someone on Chris Christie’s staff had something to do with a bridge being shut down….scandal!
sigh…so much fail. Why do so many apparently inadequate minds seek positions of leadership?
Ego.
Because no sane person would want the job.
For the same reason short turds drive giant freakin’ pickup trucks. I walked around the front end of a new Dodge ram the other day, and the hood was nearly as high as my head! I can understand one of those monsters on a farm or ranch, but in the city??
The more relevant question, IMO, is how do so many apparently single digit IQ morons get elected in the first place?
I just can’t figure out how a guy from Syracuse became Virginia’s governor. Almost 30 years ago I was stationed at Fort Lee, and I was called a Yankee at every turn – in jest (mostly). I come from a little bit south of Syracuse, and I would have had a snowball’s chance in hell of becoming the governor. I guess times and demographics have changed.
Perfect storm in 2013.
The Republicans had this:
– Sitting Governor McDonnell getting ready to be indicted because of his ho of a wife.
– Sitting Lt. Governor didn’t get nomination as the sitting AG got it instead in a hotly contested convention (instead of the usual primary).
– AG VERY conservative and Lt. Governor sits at home on his hands. (he has JUST come back and dipped his toe into politics). Party fractured.
Dems had this:
– One candidate who had placed 2nd in the 2009 primary. And he has lots of friends.
AND..
A Libertarian candidate that pulled 6.5% of the vote.
Campaign finance reports through November 28, 2013
Candidate Spent Votes Cost per Vote
Terry McAuliffe $38,003,836 1,069,789 $35.52
Ken Cuccinelli $20,942,496 1,013,354 $20.67
Robert Sarvis $213,781 146,084 $1.46
Almost double spent.

McDonnell’s daughter inherited that gene from her mother, resulting in her military career being cut short. Funny how that’s never mentioned when Bob trots her out during campaign season.
Demographics are probably the biggest reason. The DC area, Richmond, and Tidewater are heavily Democratic, while most of the rest of the state is heavily Republican. Just a question of numbers. Ol’ Terry doesn’t spew this sort of nonsense when he makes his annual visit to the Southwestern part of the Commonwealth.
Same thing with California and New York. Upstate NY is mostly Republican. Only Albany and NY City (Manhattan, Long Island, etc.) are Democratic, but most of the state’s population lives in the NY City limits.
In California there are actually Republican areas, but Los Angeles and San Fransisco overwhelm them with the population. Though in California they also have the distinction of having more people “receiving” assistance from the system than “paying into” the system.
“Virginia deserves a truthful executive in the governor’s mansion and Syracusan Terry McAullife is not truthful – he’s more interested into scaring his constituency with his lies.”
Not just Virginians deserve a truthful executive.
Yeah, well, McAuliffe is the topic in this post, so save your anti-Trump BS for another discussion.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Shack!
Not since Ron stepped in and crushed Squadfather’s tearful appeal in the latter’s epic owning suffered on getbig.com have I seen a site admin lay the smack down in such an appropriate fashion.
My mistake. I did not realize your well-stated principle on expectations of honesty from the executive branch had a caveat. I will save my criticism of Dan Malloy for the proper venue.
Go back to Starbuck’s and I hope you get a muslim Barista that flips boogers in your cup!
Quit throwing rocks in your glass house, Tex. It’s a safety hazard.
Kudos to the State Police.
He also said there was violence from the ANTIFA, strange he would say that considering his son got arrested in MN while protesting with ANTIFA, for violence. I will be so glad when he is gone.
I thought that was Tim Kaine’s son.

Dammit, they are all the same to me.
They all do bear a resemblance to each other.
Liars are gonna lie, every time. Even wjen the truth works better.
That would be “when”. Fat fingers.
And yet Virginians re-elected the asswipe…
Nope, Gov is one and done in Va. 2013 was our only (recent) mistake.
The guy needs a brain enema.
There was a lot more pride in being a citizen of a state back then vs pride in being a citizen of the US.
