Waverly Reynar; a phony Vietnam veteran, phony Marine in Canada

| May 8, 2015

Waverly Reynar2

Someone sent a link to this fellow, Waverly “Wave” Reynar who claimed to the Canadian Leduc Rep that he was a Marine and Vietnam veteran. It was the story of his enlistment that caught my attention;

Reynar didn’t set out to be a Marine, but a single phone call and a spur-of-the-moment decision made one night in a bar in Butte, Montana in 1962 changed the course of his life forever.

He and a friend had left their hometown of Leduc months earlier with a few hundred dollars between them and a one-way bus ticket to Montana.

“We thought we were going to be cowboys, but that didn’t work out too good,” Reynar recalled. “There was a big coal strike going on at that time so the jobs weren’t very plentiful.”

Reynar and his friend got jobs grilling burgers and washing dishes for 80 cents an hour at the bus depot to try to earn enough money to get home for Christmas.

“We were just kids,” Reynar said. “We were staying in a flophouse. We just couldn’t get enough money and we didn’t know how we were going to get home.”

Then one night the pair coaxed the bartender at a local dive to let them have a couple of beers, even though, at 17 and 18 respectively, they were considerably underage. Sitting by the back door in case they needed to make a hasty escape, they noticed that the bartender was on the phone.

A few minutes later, two uniformed men entered the bar and approached Reynar and his friend. They identified themselves as Marine Corps recruiters and promised to send the boys home for Christmas, no matter what.

“They gave us our green cards right away,” Reynar said. “I went into the Marine Corps in January.”

Reynar turned 18 in boot camp in San Diego.

On Aug. 14, 1965, at the age of 21, he landed on the shores of Chu Lai, Vietnam.

Yep, everyone knows that Marine Recruiters are trolling bars for Canadian teenagers that they can Shanghai into the Marine Corps, because they make the best Marines. And also, the recruiters walk around with Green Cards in their pockets for just such an encounter. By the way, Wave’s birth date was was in May 1943, that makes him 19 in 1962, not 17. That math gets ’em every time.

Waverly Reynar FB

Reynar doesn’t like to talk about the war – partly because of the horrific memories it brings to the surface, and partly out of a habit picked up during his leave from the service as a way of deflecting negative attention.

Waverly Reynar

ADDED; Wave wearing a Silver Star that doesn’t appear in the other pictures;

IMG_1904 (2)

He claims that this is him supposedly proof that he was in Vietnam (but who can tell?) Are those pine trees behind him?

IMG_1906

We went back for another whack at his records, and find out that he was Marine, but not to the extent that he claims. No valor awards, no war wounds. He spent 11 years in the Navy as a cook;

REYNAR_FOIA-R_Navy_1968-1979_20150601-page-001 REYNAR_FOIA-R_Navy_1968-1979_20150601-page-002 REYNAR_FOIA-R_Navy_1968-1979_20150601-page-003

The Marines say he served 4 years and was discharged as a corporal, that’s almost the same as 20+ years he claimed and being a Gunny, after all whats 16 extra years of service and 3 pay grades between friends?

reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-002 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-003 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-004 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-005 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-006 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-007 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-008 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-009 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-010

If you’re going to have a ridiculous story about your accidental enlistment, at least have the minimum amount of documentation to back it up. Of course, I messaged Mr. Reynar on Facebook to get his explanation and thus far, I’ve been treated to the full-throat sounds of crickets.

Who helped him put that excuse of a uniform together, the McKenzie Brothers?

“Hey, like, you ought to add a couple of these too”
“Yeah, and that ought to have a star on it,..”
“No, no way, he ought to have two stars…”
“TAKE OFF, HOSER!…”

Hack Stone

Don’t be dissing Bob and Doug. If it wasn’t for them, I would never know how to scam a free case of beer.

A Proud Infidel®™

Like you’re right, eh? The McKenzie Brothers would have put a MUCH better uniform together, eh?

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you

Well this bulshit meter pegged, started hovering and took off towards Canada.

http://plawiuk.blogspot.com/2006/11/words-of-wisdom.html

Military mourners called it a different Remembrance Day than most – 34 soldiers have died in Afghanistan this year, and while troop support remains high, criticism of the mission is mounting.

“I have the utmost respect for our soldiers, but honestly, we need to get the hell out of (Afghanistan),” said Leduc native Wave Reynar, a man most military types would listen to.

The 62-year-old is a recently retired U.S. Marine Corps gunnery sergeant, who’s fought in Vietnam, Granada, Iraq, and saw legions of casualties while serving in Beirut.

War has brought him silver and bronze stars, lunches with U.S. presidents, and even a purple heart.

But it’s also brought grief – Reynar’s son was killed in Iraq.
“That miserable war isn’t worth one more life,” Reynar said before bursting into tears at the Leduc Legion, where he was celebrating Remembrance Day with friends, among them several members of the RCMP.

I can find no record of a KIA with that name

sj

I’ve waded through his FB page and there is no mention of a son. The only family thing is he got married in 2009 and the wife passed a few years later.

Kat

But he does have 3 daughters(those 3 collies)UGH!

Climb to Glory

Oh for fucks sake. Fuck this piece of shit. Claiming a son KIA too? Really?

A Proud Infidel®™

A fake claim of a Son being KIA? JUST when we thought he couldn’t get any slimier…

Green Thumb

This man is a steaming pile of Phil Monkress.

Claiming he had a son KIA?

Fuck him.

Maggot.

Hondo

Concur. Lying about your own child’s death is pretty damn low.

Lady Karma herself may finish stirring the pot for Wavey-boi here – and one day choose to feed him dinner personally, in her own special way.

68W58

i know I am late to this particular party, but when I saw that this guy is claiming a son killed in Iraq, I couldn’t let it go.

Fuck this guy, sideways, with a rusty saw.

I sincerely hope that he meets Gary Reese Sr. in a dark alley somewhere:

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2006/04/tennessee-welcomes-its-soldiers-home.php

Gary Lee Reese Sr., of Ashland City, Tenn., lost his 22-year-old son Sgt. Gary L. Reese Jr. on Aug. 13, 2005, to a similar [IED] device. Serving in Iraq, Reese said, provided his son a perspective on life he never would have gained otherwise.

“I think the soldiers saw that these people should have the opportunity to have what we have,” Reese said. “He stood up for the right thing, and I’m very proud of that,” Reese said. He added he rarely saw a picture of his son in Iraq without children surrounding the soldier.

“Those little kids who got to know Lee knew he wasn’t there to teach them how to strap bombs on. He was there to help them have what he has.

“I know his life wasn’t wasted because he gave those children an opportunity see who the good guys are and who the bad guys are.”

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you
Old Artillery Sgt

On his Facebook page he has a picture of the Canadian Flag flying higher then the American Flag on the same pole.

What kind of Marine would do that??

He has a US Marine Flag on a second pole.

This guy just needs to go.

And he retired in ’83 with 21 years of service. It’s inflated to 28 on his Facebook page.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

God damn… it never stops with this rump rider, does it???

Dave Hardin

I take no joy in doing what needs to be done sometimes. This guy has been sporting around in his clown suite for years at Marine Corps functions.

As I often do, I would like to draw attention to the Gullible Fucks that sat around and did nothing about it. Fellow Marines sat on their ass and did nothing.

Well, excuse the fuck out of me devil pups, the whole damn lot of you should be lapping up your next drink from the urinal.

Sad to say, but some of the Few should’t be so Proud. It is humiliating to know they let it go on.

Semper Fi.

TankBoy

I agree to a point. If he was sporting those blues in front of Marines and they couldn’t see the FUBAR, then shame on them. Odds are, the uniform was kept safely in Canada and away from potential Marines. Everything where he is in the states, he is in civvies, with a miniature medal, or pins.

Dave Hardin

You are being kind, I appreciate you extending the courtesy to them. I am fed up with these organizations not policing up their own.

Particularly when they are fellow Marines.

When I see one of the so called leaders of this group man the fuck up and post an apology here or letting it go on, I might act like they are something other than a gagglefuck of has been’s and wannabe’s.

Until then I will greet them with Semper Flaccid.

TankBoy

I don’t disagree, but have the biggest problem with Military bike clubs. Utter lack of verification.

Dave Hardin

Some of them are getting much better at it, they have a very long way to go. Hey, isn’t an 8999 a non-trainable SNCO? I thought they specialized in beans, bullets, bandaids and bad guys.

Semper Fi Bro.

TankBoy

I was a 9999. Before they redesignated. According to all my Master Sergeant friends, you are correct.

Dave Hardin

Sometimes, Diamonds are forever. They are just pissed because you can read and write and had AC all day.

You should change your name here to ‘THE SHIRT’ we need somebody who is used to having shit flung from both sides of the fence.

Semper Fi SHIRT, much respect brother.

JarHead Pat

He friended me on FB, I emailed his entire friends list about his bullshit lies.

sj

Memo to self: do not piss off JarHead Pat!

TankBoy

I did that earlier. Also now have my family in Canada working to make him famous all over again. Messaged him four times, but he doesn’t seem to want to talk to me. Probably shouldn’t have used my Drill Instructor voice.

Nerf Herder

I never got your email.

GRUNT MIKE

I left messages for a few of them as well.Good job on friending and then fragging this piece of shit.

GRUNT MIKE

I left messages for some of his friends. He is so busted.

Chris

Well he is back on, and this time has a shit house know it all questioning me, and threatening lawsuits.

sj

Oh so we’re already to the lawyer check box? That didn’t take long after the Fire check box.

CLAW131

OK, two boxes checked.

Time to drag out the really BIG bag of popcorn and associated adult beverages.

TankBoy

There in Alberta?

Instinct

Fuck this guy.

A Proud Infidel®™

OOOH, already? Is he suing up in Canada, or has he retained a certain “lawer” in the PNW?
*stocking up on beer, popcorn, chips&dip*

2/17 Air Cav

He links on FB to the 3/3 Marines. Is that the unit with which he claims VN service?

Doch

There is no roster or unit diary for 3/3/3 that shows that Reynar ever was a member of the Battalion. We have ALL RVN era UD’s and MPR’s.

Any association (which will be purged forthwith) was created years ago, early in our research … and was oral only (which was not possible to verify or deny at that time).

CLAW131

Jonn, reference that last picture you put up that he claims is “proof” he served in RVN.

Yes, those are pine trees in the background and the other items are double stacked for shipping/storage M416 Jeep Trailers.

Your choice, North or South Carolina picture.

sj

Im Army from that era but never saw LBE like in that picture. Maybe it was a Marine TA50 issue?

TankBoy

Looks very much like the training areas out at Camp Lejeune. But who knows? I only did thirteen years there.

CLAW131

My other question about that picture is: When did the Marines in RVN have time to be putting up a white post and cable barrier around holes/gullies in the ground as a vehicle/personnel warning?

That picture looks like it was taken in an ancillary equipment storage area and the individual is a sentry on guard duty during daylight hours.

CLAW131

Also, where’s the magazine for the M14?

I don’t think his hands are that large that his left hand could completely hide it from view.

Picture taken in RVN? Don’t think so.

A Proud Infidel®™

No magazine in that rifle, just like the picture Al Gore Junior had released of him allegedly in Vietnam.

JarHead Pat

Yut, looks like Swamp Lejeune, not RSVN.

Rhonda

You are correct! All is saved and ready to break down this excuse of a website!!

Hondo

(sigh) When I lived there, people in Madison weren’t gullible as hell and “stuck on stupid”. They generally had something called “common sense”. Rhonda’s comments here indicate things must have changes quite a bit in Madison during the last few years.

Lady, all Wavey-boi has to do to prove he’s legit is (1) take his retirement DD214, (2) photocopy it, (3) redact (that means “black out”) his SSN and DOB on the photocopy, (4) scan the redacted copy of his DD214 (or photograph it with a decent digital camera), and (5) send a legible copy of that redacted DD214 to Jonn. Jonn’s contact email address is on the site’s “Contact Us” page. Jonn publishes retractions and apologies on those very rare occasions when someone featured here turns out to be legit.

He hasn’t done that. Rather, what he has done is all behavior common to lying military fakers. “My records burned up in the fire.” “My work was classified – ‘Black Ops.’ ” “I’m gonna sue.” Then he convinces you to show up here and defend him. We’ve seen all these bogus excuses here more times than I care to remember.

The fact that Wavey-boi hasn’t yet done exactly what I suggested above to prove himself legit is IMO quite telling. If you weren’t a naive “true believer” – or perhaps merely incredibly gullible – you’d be asking Wavey-boi why he hadn’t already done that vice spouting nonsense here.

I’d suggest you ask him that question and listen critically to the answer he gives you. Doing that just might save you some future embarrassment.

A Proud Infidel®™

Rhonda, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA how many others have said just that? Others have sued, all of them LOST, you’re babbling like every other loser that said they were going to make TAH history, some sued, others made death threats, another said he/it was hiring hitmen to come get us, another said he’d visit each and every one of us, but * YAWN*, nothing ever happened, TAH still exists, and we’re all safe and sound. But HEY, keep the laughs coming, and thanks for volunteering to be our new chew toy *WOOF, CHOMP!*.

Rhonda

why do you guys hide behind fake names, maybe that’s the reason Wave won’t show his DD214! However he has offered for Mike to come to his house with Global TV present!!

A Proud Infidel®™

Just look at the false accusations some of the scumbags outed on TAH made of Jonn, MCPO, and others who publish their true identities here, they’ve been libeled and slandered all over the place, and it’s cost a lot of time and money in more ways than one, and it eventually got TSO a new Jeep. Yeah, Wave says he’ll show up, but I WON’T hold my breath, many others have said they’d show up and well,… *YAWN*

I’m sure you can come up with better than that Rhonda, you’re beginning to BORE ME!!

Chris

And I offered to call when they show up, and I’d pay for the call. But got nothing but crickets on that one.

jedipsycho (Certified Space Shuttle Door Gunner)

It’s good to see you have fully committed yourself to this lost cause.

Commissioner Wretched

Ha. I think the reason “Wave won’t show his DD214” is because …

… wait for it …

HE DOESN’T HAVE ONE. At least not one that says what he claims as truth.

C’mon, old man … show the file and let’s have the truth. That’s all you have to do.

Valhalax

Gents, serving Canadian soldier, we have a stolen valour group, in Canada as well, I’ll be forwarding it all on. Contrary to popular belief, we don’t let this kind of behaviour slide, I have no doubt they will be knocking on his door.

TankBoy

I was going to share this with some of my friends stationed in London and Petawawa, but rock on.

Dennis - not chevy

Valhalax:
I’m not a lawyer and I’m not asking you to act as one. Please allow me to reference Section 419(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada:
“has in his possession a certificate of discharge, certificate of release, statement of service or identity card from the Canadian Forces or any other naval, army or air force that has not been issued to and does not belong to him”
Does that mean he may be charged if he produces a invalid or forged DD form 214?

Rhonda

OMG, so now your saying if he does produce one it will be forged?? You guys are insane!’

A Proud Infidel®™

Many of us TAH Regulars are Vets, a number of whom are Military Retirees who are quite adept at proving which paperwork is real, what’s fake, and they’re not afraid to hit the BULLSHIT ALERT button!

Hondo

In a word – almost certainly.

The USMC says he never served, Rhonda. That’s an “inconvenient truth” you keep dancing around. Plus, we’ve seen a sh!tload of forged or altered documents here before provided as “proof of service” by those caught lying about their military service. Use the search feature on this site for “Ladner” and “Visconi” for a couple of examples. They’re hardly the only ones.

So, yeah – if Wavey-boi here actually produces a DD214, we’ll look at it. We’ll go over it with a fine-tooth comb. And if it’s faked or altered, we’ll be able to figure that out.

I seriously doubt he’ll ever produce one, though. And if he ever does, I’ll wager $10 against a donut that it will be either an outright forgery or a real one that’s been altered.

“Bless your heart, honey.”

2/17 Air Cav

“A bullet tore through his helmet and lodged in his forehead; another hit him in the stomach. He was evacuated to Danang in a body bag. It was only when hospital personnel opened up the bag and saw the moisture from Reynar’s breath on the inside of the bag that they realized he was still alive.” http://www.leducrep.com (2009 story)

It doesn’t take a Mortuary Affairs guy to know that that’s all kinds of stupid.

mikeninercharlie

Sounds like Wave read the story of MSgt Roy Benavidez MoH recipient “As he was placed in a body bag among the other dead in body bags, he was suddenly recognized by a friend who called for help. A doctor came and examined him and he too believed Benavidez was dead. The doctor was about to zipper up the bag when Benavidez managed to spit in his face, alerting the doctor that he was still alive”

sj

This is seared into my memory. They moved the 3/82nd (Sep) (ABN) to Ton Son Nhut AB in Saigon. The BDE CP shared the compound with the Mortuary unit. It was tough to have chow with them because they talked shop. BUT those folks had tge worst job in Nam. Salute to them.

3/17 Air Cav

SJ…….I can’t remember where we flew into. All I remember is seeing a small building with a roof but no side walls, On the Tarmac. Placed under the roof were those damn stainless caskets. I think about a dozen of them waiting to be loaded on a aircraft, for the flight back home. Pretty sobering

sj

That was it 3/17.

Perry Gaskill

Another one that could kinda creep you out was if you drove in a jeep from the main terminal at Ton Son Nhut to MAC-V Annex, the road passed a very large junkyard for hundreds of military aircraft, mostly downed helicopters. To this day, I remember the sight of a mangled OH-6 sitting behind concertina riddled with holes and painted in gore, and remember thinking that somebody had had a very bad day.

CLAW131

From all the various stories I have read so far, he has claimed to have been shot in the head a couple of times.

I would have thought there would have been some permanent scarring/disfigurement from that.

I see no evidence of that in any pictures of his face/head. He must have a Hollywood celebrity class plastic surgeon on speed dial.

Planet Ord

Not saying this douche was wounded, but scars can fade. My uncle stopped a 7.62 with his forehead in Vietnam. After an all day fight they gave him a local anesthetic and plucked it out. He still has that bullet on a necklace. The scar is right between and just above his eyes. But you have to look hard to find it. Real hard.

This douche pisses me off. I’ve got my uncles BSV and PH hanging in a shadow box that was earned exactly like this punk says he earned his fake one.

Chris

He is claiming 4 PHs. Correct me if i’m wrong but if you got 3 in RVN, you were going home.

Hack Stone

Then you become a Senator from Massachusetts.

Andy11M

JarHead Pat

Bahahahahahahah

Hack Stone

Our Battalion Sergeant Major at 1st Tracks had seven Purple Hearts. They even did an article on him in Stars & Stripes.

TankBoy

Remember him having a heart attack during the PFT. He’d tell war stories that would have every salty Lance Corporals fighting to donate to Navy Relief.

Rhonda

so your saying he did serve?

Hondo

He’s talking about a completely different individual than Reynar.

Hack Stone

We are referring to SgtMaj Ski at 1st Tracked Vehicle Bn, 3rd Marine Division in the early 1980’s. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his full name, but he is a legend in the Marine Corps, particularly in Okinawa. From what I recall from the Stars & Stripes article on him (sometime between May 1984 – May 1986), he was born in Poland, was a refugee living in England during WWII, can to America, joined the Marine Corps, married an Okinawan woman, and when he retired, he settled in Okinawa. The last time I saw him was at the 7th Comm Birthday Ball, sometime in the late 1990’s. As to (slipped another by you) the Hoser Poser, his story seems a bit far fetched, to be charitable. Depending on who is speaking to, he was in anywhere from 21 to 28 years. If he was indeed a Gunnery Sergeant, he would have hit high year tenure somewhere around the 24 year mark. Another thing that trips up these posers is that claim to spend an entire career in the Marine Corps, but they only claim serving in one command. He would have to have spent some time at Pendleton and/or Lejeune, and more than a good chance that he was assigned a B Billet (recruiter, drill instructor, or embassy duty). What about some photos of him throughout his career? I am not talking about a photo taken from a few hundred yards out where you can’t discern faces, but close up photos of him, his spouse, and commander whenever he was promoted, reenlisted, or was decorated? Every time I was promoted or reenlisted, the Career Planner snapped a few photos, which I still have, and some of them are posted to my FaceBook page. Or how about a newspaper clipping from his hometown. Back in the day, when the dollar was a lot stronger and Hack was a lot skinnier, every time he was promoted or received some type of formal recognition, the Battalion Public Affairs Officer would have him complete a Fleet Hometown News Release, and the local newspaper would run… Read more »

Bahahahahh epic, round Ranger, gawd I luv this page

Hack Stone

I loved that “Will Chamberlain” came on the TAH board defending the Round Ranger, AKA William Derek Church, saved his life while they were Rangers together, and that two of them were going to go skydiving, despite the fact Church had no job and was surviving by sponging the child support from his wife’s kid. I think the way that he saved his life was by using a condom when he was servicing him.

Hack Stone

Yeah, he was a great guy. Remember when he came up to see us at Funi in December 1985? He was talking about that POS who said he tried to kill himself after he negligently discharged the shotgun while guarding the armory (I think his name was Cleveland). Sgt Maj Ski “I ain’t done fucking with him, yet.”

He was the guest speaker at our Marine Corps Ball, maybe 1997 or 1998. I got the chance to reminisce with him about his sales pitches for Navy Relief and CFC.

TankBoy

Old Recon guy. He was the most decorated Marine in the Third Marine Division at that time.

SGTFON

Hack,
was that the same Sgt Maj “Ski” that was with 3d CEB at Camp Hanson? i was such a boot at that time i smelled like kiwi…

Hack Stone

He was Sgt Maj at 1st Tracks (Camp Schwabb) when I was there 1984 – 1986. He probably did pass through most of the units on the north end of the island before retiring.

Hack Stone

I was 3rd CEB December 1991 – October 1992. Now, you are scratching your head figuring that is only ten months, and most tours were twelve months. When I hit Oki for my second tour, as a freshly minted 2861, I was sent to 4th Marines. Turns out they only rated one 2861, and I was an extra body, so, that is how/why I was at 3rd CEBs for ten months.

Hondo

Chris: from what I read, that was indeed Navy policy. Not sure if the USMC had the same policy or not.

I’m sure the current SECSTATE can confirm or refute the Navy policy part for us.

Joe Williams

Three PHs and your on your way back to the “World”. True stry called on a E-Vac and a Marine runs and hops in my helo. I grab him and demand to know where my WIA is. The Marine says it is him and this is his third and he is going home. By the way ,he was shot in the foot. It was a mean and deadly Ops. Joe

yes, you are correct! I am here. Just reading through all the GI Jane stories, and judgements of others! I was planning of buying a good book to sit and read by the pool, but seems all of you and your righteousness of judgement can give free entertainment. In the bright side, I have reached out to a couple of High ranking Marines( one being a General and friend of Waves) and we will be getting back to you, IF THIS SITE ISNT SHUT DOWN BY THEN!! I will out and about today, so if I don’t reply PLEASE don’t think your comments have intimidated me away! I’ll be back!!

Oh no! We haven’t heard that before. And a Gen? Oh no!

TankBoy

Rhonda,

I am more than happy for you to get a couple of “high ranking Marines” involved. I’m a retired Marine First Sergeant. One look at the pictures of his uniform, and the letter from Marine Enlisted Records branch would have them giggling like I did at the miserable attempt at fakery here. Feel free to contact me on Facebook. Wave has my Facebook info. He doesn’t seem to want to talk with me though. I’m thinking because he knows just how piss poor his lie is.

TankBoy

And Rhonda, a lot of us here are old lifer pigs. We have a fair amount of time around “high ranking” people. If you thought that would be intimidating, it was not.

Dave Hardin

Tell your General friend to contact me anytime, I have already tried to contact him.

I want to hear all about how he disgraced the EGA by letting this man walk around in a clown suite making a mockery of my uniform.

Shame on his ass for not taking care of this poser years ago. I hope you get to read this after your busy day of running about, that is if this site is still up.

A Proud Infidel®™

C’mon RhondA, like the Higher Echelon of TAH hasn’t heard that tripe before. Do you have ANY IDEA how many times Jonn and Company have heard threats like that? Just be advised, they DON’T back down or retreat, neither is even in their vocabulary. Thanks for volunteering to be our newest chew toy!!

C’mon lady – better people than you have been fooled by this tool. Suck it and drive on. But if you choose to come in this site and make goofy little threats, then so be it. Play at your own risk. WTF does that mean in English? did you guzzle a bottle of T-bird to come up with that?

Rhonda

No T-Bird for me! Most of the people commenting on this site have been way judge mental of what they may have heard! If you guys/gals are worth your salt and know such fine folks produce the information you need on Wave. I plan on working mine once Monday rolls around! Semper Fi!!!!

the Al

GOOD LUCK, TOOTS!! Many have tried to do damage to this blog, ALL HAVE FAILED.

Hondo

So you prefer MD 20/20? Or are you simply functionally illiterate? Because only excessive alcohol consumption or abject inability to communicate in written English is a plausible explanation for your illiterate comment above.

News flash for ya, lady, since you seem to be unable to comprehend English very well: information from official sources – specifically, HQ USMC – has already been obtained and reproduced above. That info says Wavey-boi never served in the USMC.

Tell Wavey-boi he needs to produce his retirement DD214, photocopy it, redact his name and SSN, scan that, and send it to the site owner. Jonn’s email address is under the “Contact Us” button near the top of the page. Otherwise, Wavey-boi just needs to come clean and admit he’s a fraud.

sj

Huh? We’re supposed to produce the info? Info HAS been produced and published. Seems to me it is up to Wave to disprove it…like with a 214. BTW, if Wave is such a bad ass, why is he hiding behind your skirts?

sj

PS: who’s the big bad General? Lots of us would like to chat with him.

Rhonda……y’all? Really? From Canada? Listen lady, your boy wave the rave, somewhere along the line decided he wanted to be a Marine and a war hero. Not! The guys a lying scumbag. His war stories only seem real and believable to non military. They are flat out pure fiction! We know the real deal! He ain’t.

So keep defending the little weasel! He’s nothing but a attention whore. Those of us who served in Vietnam don’t go around looking for attention. We did our job in many cases with valor! Your buddy Wave struts around like a peacock. Wearing shit he didn’t earn, over the back of those that did!

Fuck him and fuck you!

Rhonda

I never said I was from Canada!!! I live in the US and you all I can say is ” Bless your Heart”.

Inquiring minds want to know, why are you defending wave? Can’t he speak for himself? Of course not. He’s gone underground. Marine my ass!

Hondo

I ran that thru Google Translate. The reply I got back was, “Dafuq?” – followed by riotous laughter from the computer’s speaker for about 5 min.

Rhonda

The Generals lap? Really??! You must have a habit of staying in such places! I’m all about the face. Unlike you hiding behind a fake name.

Ex-PH2

So you sit on his face, huh?

Oh, I should have known!!

sj

Wonder how many stars that GO has? But, not really. My 214 trumps ALL stars.

Rhonda

that would be 3!

Hondo

Really? How about a name, lady.

Rhonda

You tell me how ya’ll got Wave service number and date of birth and I’ll be more than happy to share the Generals name.

Ex-PH2

Little lesson here, Rhonda, you ignoramus.

If you’re going to pretend to be from the South, learn to spell the contraction of ‘you all’ correctly, stupid.

It’s y’all, dumbass.

Hondo

Not even a nice bluff.

Produce the name, or admit you’re just blowing smoke.

As others have said, many here would like to have a word with that “general”. If he really exists, that is.

Just in case Wave has been less than forth rite, here are all the messages I sent him. He has yet to respond to me. If you do, do your due diligence. I have little patience for ignorance. Hello Wave. No doubt you have been looking at the web site “This Ain’t Hell, but you can see it from here”. I am TankBoy. My name is 1stSgt Brant Young. I am a retired Marine. I am originally from Calgary. Most of my family live in Alberta. I am saving this message and posting it to my wall, so they know a lying piece of shit is amongst them. Your pictures betray a person with so little knowledge of Marine Corps uniform regulations and wear as to be not laughable, but simply pathetic. like you. You are an embarrassment to those of us from Alberta who have actually served in the Corps. The worst for me is you wearing purple heart. I have had the blood of wounded and dead Marines and Soldiers on me and my uniform. For that, I will not forgive you, and will offer my services to stolen valor Canada in outing you and shaming you. the fact that my Marine colors are flying in your yard makes me sick. Friday 1:51pm No reply? No claims of me being wrong? I’ve also reached out to your friends and the third Marine Division association, where most of them seem to have come from. I’ve served in the Third MarDiv several times. Camp Schwab and Camp Fuji are second homes to me. Friday 3:47pm It appears the jig is up. The third Marine Division association has a whole slew of paperwork on you, and are moving forward. Stand by. If you want me to stop, you have to make up for what you’ve done. A VERY public apology. Otherwise, I’m not going away. Friday 5:57pm Three messages, and no reply? That’s no way to be, homey. Feel free to contact me on Facebook. Wave has my info. I’ve messaged him sever times though he has not had the testicular fortitude to return my messages, I would be happy to share with you all the things obvious to a Marine that this guy is a fake, and not a very good one. You, madam, have been scammed

Andy11M

At this rate, I foresee a rather high seed in the next SVT. This guy has it all, multiple Purple Hearts, badges galore, and the classic Hollywood trope, stuffed in a body bag when you aint really dead. Can’t wait to see what our cousins up north do to this guy. Please let it be a news crew ambush.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Andy – dude is Fecal Four quality. If he stepped up is “game” and showed up here and melted down, Jonn may not have to put on a tourney…

2/17 Air Cav

So, you serve multiple tours in VN. You are severely wounded, taken for dead, but, like Lazarus, you rise. You have received three or four purple hearts, the Silver Star, and served in the USMC for many years. You know a great many people in the USMC and, more importantly, they know you from having served with you over the course of your distinguished military career, especially those with whom you served in combat. Where are they now, in this debacle? What are their names? Just two will do.

Nothing. No one.

TankBoy

Great point! I have a dd 214, an ID card, and about fifty people from the Corps I could present in about five minutes. Where is someone beyond a non-Corps friend that saw one honorable discharge certificate (when there should be about six, one for every enlistment…yet another mistake by the taint).

Hack Stone

The thing that upsets me the most is that when these foreign guys (and gals) falsely claim service and decorations in the US military, it steals the attention away from the American posers who have invested all that time and money spinning their stories. And don’t tell me that they are only stealing the valor that Americans won’t. Given the proper motivation, there are plenty of Americans willing to steal valor.

sj

Yeah but Hack, soon he will advance to cometh after you with his posse and that will be a first for TAH (I think)…an international hit squad

TankBoy

But they are Canadian. They will have no guns and they will apologize every time they hit him.

TankBoy

Still no contact from the Wave. His page is still up, which means he’s got my four messages.

TankBoy

Just saw Chris’ screen captured conversation from yesterday. Pisses me off that Old Wave wouldn’t talk to me. Just sent him another message letting him know my feelings were hurt! Funny reading a poser talk shit about the Army. They never get the full flavor. I talk shit, but always underlies with affection and respect. Some of the people I have worked with and admire most are Soldiers and Sailors. But the posers don’t get that. Kind of like the complete failure on uniform regulations.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

TankBoy – you are the real deal, “Wave” knows that you would mop the floor with his pathetic ass! Just don’t let him show you his “highland rat brain”…

Hack Stone

I am formally calling HMCS (FMF) ret. as a poser. In the comment above, he said that Tank Boy “would mop the floor with his pathetic ass”. If he was really in the Navy, he would have written “swab the deck with his pathetic ass”. J’accuse!

HMCS(FMF) ret.

🙂

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Hack, you know us medical types are not real “military”, as in haircuts, marching and proper use of terminology… but we can screw with you like anyone else.

Now go down to CSR and get me some fallopian tubes, STAT!!

TankBoy

I had one cycle as a hat where it was me, a grunt, and an admin/pay guy from the Marine Corps finance center in Kansas City. I had nine ribbons, w Bronze Star/V, the grunt had eleven, the admin guy a good conduct and national defense. After several days of good natured hazing, the admin guy got tired of it, looked at us, and said “Can you bitches say no pay due?” The hazing ceased immediately.

sj

Now, that’s funny

Hondo

Yep. Troops – even those in other support branches – tend to bitch about their support troops until someone sits them down and makes them think about the consequences of that support going away. Then the bitching tends to stop pretty quickly.

At a given time, one branch/type of support may be temporarily more important than others. That’s dictated by the current situation. But all of them are important over the long haul.

There are no unimportant jobs in the military.

CLAW131

That is a good one!!

Funny now, but back in the day, not so much. Especially at PCS time after having drawn advance pay and some SNAFU occurred and your hand carried pay records weren’t reentered into the system on time.

NPD – Karma personified.

TankBoy

Especially when it can be done maliciously, and takes two to three pay periods to fix. Kind of like the old saying about not screwing with the bartender between you and your drink.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Had a young Marine LCpl decide that he wanted to badmouth the Doc in the BAS… I heard him one morning spouting off, had one of my guys pull his medical record and I torched it in front of his ass, with his First Sargent watching. The look on his face was a “Kodak moment”.

In reality, I had a dummy record done up on him that looked like his real one… when he came in the following morning to restart his shots, I dropped the hammer on him by pulling out his real one.

He then started back in, until I told him that he was working in the BAS for the next 60 days, courtesy of the First Sargent. At then end of his 60 days, he really had a appreciation for what we did… and he always told the new joins to the unit “Don’t fuck with the Docs… they will fuck with you back”

Bobo

Wow, one of the few bubblehead posers. I remember one night at the Holy Loch enlisted club some tender Marine was trying to tell us that one boat asked him to come on a patrol as a NWSG. We laughed him out of the place.

I did see one Marine with dolphins, though. He was a major assigned to the Pentagon. He had been an enlisted submariner, went to college and NROTC, and branched Marines after graduation. He’s the only one that I can recall ever seeing.

When they start trying, it might get tough to spot them.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Bobo, I also served with a Marine Officer who was a ET(SS) in his “previous life” (he still had PRP info in his health record)… told him that I knew about his “dirty little secret”… we laughed about it (and did again when I saw him 10 years later when he was the BN CO of the unit we served in earlier).

NHSparky

In a way, it’s a nice thing there are so few submariner poseurs, and even fewer nuke poseurs.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Should this guy ever end up in jail for whatever reason, I suppose the phrase “doing the wave” will take on a whole new meaning.

I see he’s taking the Birdbath Dullass route. This should be fun. Doubling down on stupid. Genius.

A Proud Infidel®™

Wow, he sure has his acolytes good and brainwashed. He’d make one helluva Used Car Salesman, and it looks like he’s gonna go full throttle ‘tardo! I just wonder if he’s already been in touch with the rest of The Dutch Rudder Gang, he’ll fit right in!

HMCS(FMF) ret.

GDContractor

*-1962 – enlisted
*-1965 – arrived RVN
*-1968 – shows up back home to work his airport baggage handling job that he had been gone from for 3 years (per one of the links Enigma4you found).
*-1975- Back in theater on a ship witnessing a Huey being pushed off the deck. (Per an Enigma link)
*-Oil Field Worker (as identified in an article about him, Enigma link)
*-10 year police veteran (per his own facebook claim)

AND a 28 year career in the USMC.

A Proud Infidel®™

That’s about as fuxxed up as a truckload of broken football bats!!

TankBoy

That’s the way we roll in Alberta! He probably also raced chuck wagons at the Stampede when he wasn’t training to represent Canada in the biathlon in the 68 Mexico City olympics. I think he was also the first Marine to spie rig out of an AmTrack. Roll big or go home. No use in lying small. That’s what we say in Alberta.

GDContractor

Oh, just realized I forgot to acknowledge

*- USMC Submariner School at Grotton[sic], CNT[sic]

or

*- Service time on the nonexistent HMAS Platipus [sic] while on an imaginary exchange program.

Alberta huh? Was he one of the four strong winds Neil wrote about? If he was washing dishes at a bus depot in MT, he must have been a pretty shitty Rodeo Cowboy wannabe.

TankBoy

Another odd thing.I did a name search on him. There are four Reynars in Leduc. All addresses for the four were google mapped and had street view pictures. None were pictures of the house he has on his Facebook page. So he must be unlisted on Canada 411. But it appears four of his relatives are listed.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Tank Boy – in one of my posts from yesterday there is a cemetery plot in Leduc that has a Reynar in it – a CPL Reynar that lived from 1922 to 1988. My guess that it’s his father or an uncle – someone that served with honor during World War II…

Dave Hardin

You forgot all about his refresher course in 1983. We had a lot of civilian police officers milling about. Actually, we probably could have used a few in Haifa.

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you

Myles Dunn was Reynars son. He was killed in a car crash in 2009. Mr Dunn was prior Navy. Born in 1969.

It would seem that that Medals he claims the Navy Replaced are actually his sons.

His son was not killed in Iraq as he claimed.

Rhonda Hall and Karen from his facebook page are somehow related to Dunn.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

A Proud Infidel®™

That or he went back in line for seconds and they probed him so hard it gave him brain damage!

Ex-PH2

In regard to that additional photo up top in woobly’s resume (the one with the gun), do those look like pine trees?

Why, yes. Yes, they do. They look nothing like the double and triple canopy of trees found all over Vietnam. Unless that picure was taken in Red China, far up in the mountains, it is not Vietnam.

Can this poor excuse for a weeble possibly be any worse than others we’ve seen?

Oh, yeah – TankBoy, I have always thought tankers were hot tamales.

TankBoy

It’s a well known fact. Like the movie Fury, we all look like Brad Pitt.

Hack Stone

And the radio repairmen who keep those tanks communicating look like Beaver Cleaver.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

I issued M25 masks out of my NBC Room once. And I’ve drank beer out of a tankard.

I’m a Tanker now, right?

Ex-PH2

You guys really do know which buttons need pushing.

Yes, NBC54, you are definitely a tanker.

3/17 Air Cav

EX……you need to cut wave some slack! It’s a rookie mistake. He doesn’t know there are no pine trees in Vietnam. Why you ask? BECAUSE HES NEVER BEEN THERE!

Ex-PH2

Oh, but, 3/17 AirCAv, botany is such an easy field to understand. Once you’ve been in the elephant grass, with the edges of it scratching your skin and sweat pouring into those scratches until you nearly go mad with itching, you don’t forget these things… do you? Or the way the red soil turned to powder in the dry season and got into every crease in your skin?

It’s a little hard to tell, but I think those might be jack pines in that picture, an extremely common northern evergreen species.

A Proud Infidel®™

And a North American variety as well. It also looks like those trucks in the background have their hoods open like PMCS (Periodic Maintenance and Check System) is being done on them.

CLAW131

API, those items in the background are double stacked (one upside down on the other) M416 Jeep Trailers.

That is how they look after being delivered straight from the manufacturer.

A Proud Infidel®™

So then that’s got to be a “HEY MOMMY, look at me!” kind of photo, maybe taken when he was Motor Pool Guard?

CLAW131

Proud, I don’t think it’s a picture of Wavey-Boi.

I think it’s a picture he got from one of his “Marine” friends and he’s expecting everybody to believe it’s him from 50 years ago.

So add impersonation to his list of shitbaggery accomplishments.

A Proud Infidel®™

OF COURSE Claw, I should have said it was someone else’s “Mommy look at me!” photo.

3/17 Air Cav

EX………you my girl are soooo right about the grass and the soil. The elephant grass was the absolute worst! Sometimes growing to seven-eight feet in height. No trails thru it. You make your own by way of machete. Those damn scratches seemed to never heal, just turn white no scab forms because your wet from constant sweating.

Wave the Rave has never walked thru anything worse than his own back yard! Stupid old coot!

Ex-PH2

I think the closest I’ve come to it is trying to make my way through tallgrass prairie off the trails, following deer.

It’s not as abrasive as elephant grass, and neither are bulrushes, but you still get the friction against your skin, and it is maddening on a hot, sunny, humid summer day. And then you get the odd feeling that something is sitting at the base of your neck.

When you finally get it loose – IT’S A TICK!!!!!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!

3/17 Air Cav

EX……never had ticks, however, I do remember those SE Asia miskeets! I swear, they had twin engines. You learned very quickly, to stay in the center of your netting, while in the bush. One morning I woke up and one had bit me on the eyelid another on my lip. Not fun! I looked like Joe palooka.

Perry Gaskill

My personal gross-out pennant winners would be scorpions and leeches.

A Proud Infidel®™

I truly wonder if Waverly Reynar has ever so much as even broken a sweat or even had a hangnail?

3/17 Air Cav

Proud……I don’t know about all that. But I will say this, he has not exercised a day in his life! Look at that photo in his phony dress uniform. Stress fractures everywhere. Those buttons if they were to come off would be like incoming. I’ll save my comments about his non athletic bird legs for another time!

Chris

Day 2 of the harem attack, they just can not fathom this nice little old man is a liar, and has lived his lie for over 45 years!

TankBoy

Send them my way. They can’t attack with the Army comments on me like they were trying with you yesterday. Not that you needed help. You were in the attack quite nicely. Obviously you left Wave far too devastated to reply to me. He was probably in the fetal position in the corner crying for Mommy!

Chris

I tried my best to be polite to them, and answer their questions. When they started demanding Jonn open his page, and for me to change my profile picture from Superman, I called it a night. Only one woman bosses me around and I call her my wife!

A Proud Infidel®™

I can’t wait to see what they say next! “Karma will force he who stirs the shitpot to lick the spoon and make him swallow.” – Unknown.

A Proud Infidel®™

*OOP!* That’s where I said it before!!

Ex-PH2

What? Rhond-AA isn’t back yet?

Well, I do have to go to the store and get papertowels for the chocolate chip cookies I’m making this afternoon. I just may make a chicken pot pie for dinner out of leftover roast chicken, cream of chicken + cream of celery soup, and some pie dough, so I have plenty of time to devote to her if/when she return.

The beeyotch cometh! Right?

A Proud Infidel®™

Reckon I’ll get the popcorn started. Who’s bringing the beer?

Hondo

Yeah, I’m thinkin’ that Rhonda doesn’t have a clue regarding what she’s just stepped into here.

Wonder if Toasty, clams, Pinto Nag, OWB, and our other distaff regulars will opt to join in the fun – or will let Ex-PH2 have this one all to herself? (smile)

Ex-PH2

Toasty may be off on a trip somewhere. PN is gone for the weekend. The rest of us will do our best, but I did make the effort here to recall ol’ Rhondaa.

If that doesn’t bring her in here, snorting and stamping the ground, nothing will.

TankBoy

My latest message to Wave. Doesn’t look like his lady friends have seen any of my messages, Chris. I don’t think he’s sharing them with his lady friends. Too close to the truth for comfort, I expect.

Hey Buddy,

Heads up. Just messaged my sister about you. The one that lived in Leduc, not the one right outside of Calgary. She’s in the process of catching up now, and may decide to jump in. You send me a DD214 with the service number redacted, and two witness from your time in service and I’ll back off. I’m not worried, I know you can’t, as you have neither. Thought I would offer, though. Remember where I mentioned the blood of Marines and Soldiers? I dug up a pair of my old combat boots from Fallujah, right before I retired. They have the blood of Sergeant Byron Norwwod on them. I helped carry his body off the back of an Amtrack at the 1/8 Bn BAS at the soda factory on the east side of Fallujah. You want me to send you a picture? He really earned his purple heart.

TankBoy

Chris

For some reason they think it’s just me, Jonn, and Wesley who is picking on dear old Wavey, I’ve already told them numerous times, all Wave has to do it open the door, and the shit storm will come right inside.

TankBoy

I’m liking how you maneuvered in a little trailer park boys speak there, my favorite, which could also apply to Wave, is a shit leopard can’t change his spots.

spd0302

Hey Tank, you think this food blister shitbird could be Bubbles long lost father?

TankBoy

No, Bubbles was cool. 0302?

Chris

That brings up a good question. Wavey told me his MOS was a 2035, I can’t find that job anywhere, from the Vietnam era or present day. Any of you Jarheads ever heard of it?

TankBoy

Nope. No such MOS in Vietnam. Recon (which he claims) is 0321. I believe it was back then too, but didn’t become a primary MOS until about ten-fifteen years ago. Before that, it was a secondary MOS.

TankBoy

I’ve looked. No such MOS.

TankBoy

occ fields go from 1800 (tanks, armor) to 2100. no 2000 occ field.

CLAW131

Chris, I figured it out. 2035 is not an MOS. It’s the Platoon Number from where he finally made it through boot camp after being an eight time fat-body recycle./Smile!!

Can’t argue with you there 1stSgt. As a matter of fact, I found one key factor to my success as a young Mustang 2nd and 1st Lt, was heeding the “advice” of my Co 1stSgt.

Usually began with “would the Lt like for me to….”. My answer always was “absulutely”

Just noticed the ? Regarding 0302. I was an infantry officer with 2/3 Echo out of Kaneohe 95-98. Prior enlisted as a 6466, Avionics FLIR tech. My instructors at IOC had a great time reminding me of my air winger roots.

Cool! My Bn Commander when I finished up on the street was from 3rd Marines. Huge Jimmy Buffet fan.

Wave has been stirring the shitpot long enough, now Karma is making him lick the spoon and SWALLOW what he’s stirred up over the years!!

Hondo

I’m thinking the entire contents of the pot are the menu for a for one of Wavey-boi’s future meals.

TankBoy

Hondo, you need to put in a like button, so I can just like your comment instead of replying.

A Proud Infidel®™

I have ZERO DOUBT that karma will make Wave slowly chew and swallow each mouthful, he’s still stirring the pot. If he does make a Bernathian move and sue in Canada, would he be able to do jack shit from there?

The summer of George;

Chris

After looking back over my convo with Wavey, this is what I think is going on. All he has referred to is his boot photos, I think he is a boot washout, and has been rocking the lie off that book since then.

Hondo

Chris: while there may be a slight chance you’re correct, I don’t think so. I believe he’d have records on-file at NPRC if he were a boot washout.

I know the USMC (and other services) have records of those who washed out of IET from at least the early 1980s on. Those records are archived, and NPRC is the agency with archive responsibility.

I’m also pretty sure I’ve seen a FOIA “hit” from NPRC for at least one guy who washed out of IET during Vietnam. I believe the guy was Army vice USMC, though.

I’m guessing those aren’t his boot photos, but are of someone else that looks like him. I could be wrong. And if I am, ol’ Wavey-boi should have the paperwork to prove I am – e.g., that shows he’s a boot washout, or that shows he actually served after boot. All he has to do is copy it, redact his PII on the copy, scan or digitally-photograph that redacted copy, and send the result to Jonn.

Of course, if that paperwork is fake, it would be pretty easy to tell that it’s fake. Jonn can tap some real experts in “Marine-speak” and paperwork from that era for their opinion on whether it’s legit.

Chris

Hondo, I been asking for that for 2 days now,,lol

A Proud Infidel®™

Yeah, I mentioned that the last time I pooped in Rhonda’s Cheerios with my reply.

Ex-PH2

Still no Rhond-AA, huh? Oh, very well.

I shall conjure her.

Rhonda! humours! madwoman! passion fruit! girlfriend!
Appear thou in the likeness of a sigh:
Speak but ONE threat and I am satisfied.
Cry but ‘Ay, me’! Say naught but ‘troll’ and ‘shut you down’!

Aaaaagh! She heareth not, she stirreth not, she moveth not.

The bitch is dead, and I must conjure her.
(clearing throat, wiggling fingers mysteriously)

I conjure thee by Waverly’s muscosy eyes,
By his balding forehead and his trembling lips,
By his humongous, bunioned foot and quivering thighs,
And the demesne that there adjacent lies,
That in thy likeness thou shalt appear to us!

Come, bird, come! Appear, and curse us for our temerity!

A Proud Infidel®™

I dunno Ex-PH2, I responded to her last two comments and I think it drove her off like light does to cockroaches. I know you were looking forward to sharpening your claws on her but hey, I’m SURE she’ll be back. I hope so, I’ll have another beer in the meantime, Happy Saturday, y’all!

I think Wave is lying low with his collies hoping the shitstorm blows over. Any word from the Third MarDiv boys? Would love to see him ostracized for being the fake he is by my older brothers.

He hasn’t uttered a peep here on TAH, but he talked a truckload of shit on Facebook and let Rhonda take flak for him on this thread, what a thumbsucking blubber-necked booger-eating bedwetter of a toad snot-headed buck-toothed inbred Swamp Donkey! Well Rhonda, we’re waiting to hear from this General you talk about!

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you

Yep I just saw the General Threat,

Here i my reply.

Send in your General, I outrank him/her.
You see I am no longer in the military so I have no obligation moral or otherwise to fear the wrath of anyone. I am a civilian, they work for me and I have no problem saying that.

sj

214 outranks any General

sj

I don’t see anything new on his FB page (the one linked by Jonn). Is there another one?

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you

Something I have been thinking about,

How many of you have put on your uniform since you got out?

I kept my neckerchief, a ball cap or two and a white hat. Thats it from my uniforms. I would never dream of wearing it again.

If I did it would be quite a bit lager than the last time I put it on.

sj

One time. My son asked me to wear it to his AIT graduation. Damn were those buttons under stress. I don’t have a love me wall either. No one gives a shit about how many NDSM’s I have.

Mikeninercharlie

In Canada, military retirees are prohibited by law from wearing current pattern dress uniforms, there is a exception made for mess dress and permission must be sought prior to doing so. As for obsolescent pattern uniforms, it’s only the occasional WW2 and Korean War vet who choose do so. However, it has been my experience that when one runs across an individual who is wearing a uniform outside of Remembrance Day ceremonies it’s a very accurate combat indicator that the person inside is a cock of the the highest order, and should be avoided at all costs….

Green Thumb

Concerning the uniform…

A lot of the older guys do; respect.

Me; nope.

I hung it up the day I left.

spd0302

I have never even once considered it. The only parts of my uniform that could potentially see any use are my Mamaluke Sword and the butter bars I was commissioned with. My Godson is in NROTC at Penn State, and if he has the testicular fortitude to go Marine option, I will proudly give these cherished articles to him.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

My Class A’s barely fit me when I was in. Definitely didn’t survive post-service life. Wore the shoes and tie once when me and Mrs NBC dressed as the Blue Brothers for Halloween. Some of my BDUs are in a locker in storage. The only cert I can find is my final DD256. Still got my ribbon rack and Crew member wings somewhere.

Anyway, the answer is nope, I don’t wear my uniform anywhere.

Wesley Wilson AKA Enigma4you

I do collect navy stuff, I have a very old set of dress blues with hand embroidery under the flap and under the cuffs (Liberty Cuffs) I have been trying to find a mid 40s Donald Duck hat to go with them.

I have 2 ruptured duck pins and two patches, one for blues and the other for whites, they are NOS.

I have some ww2 era Army Air Corps Items that belonged to my uncle.

I have a US army issue ww1 era shaving kit with a Auto Strop razor. It works and if I ever get the balls and have paramedics standing by I may try it.

Ex-PH2

Really? Where? Lead on – I’ll follow.

Ex-PH2

I still have one set of dark blues from Bainbridge. I couldn’t get into them if my life depended on it. They’re in a zipbag with moth repellent sachets.

Open Channel D

I retired in 2012 after 37 years. I’ll admit I was getting a little stout the last couple of years, but a bout of man cancer solved that. I saved a set of choker whites and a set of dress blues to be buried in, but since 2014 I’ve lost about 90 lbs. I graduated from boot camp at 144; graduated from Hospital Corps School at 155; graduated from FMF at 168 lbs and retired at 221 lbs. I now weigh 191 lbs, after peaking at 272 lbs and during chemo/radiation weighed as little as 160 lbs.
I went to a retirement on April 29th with a regulation haircut, a 33″ waist and a 45″ chest. I’m positive that’s the last time I will have all 3.

John Robert Mallernee

I am OLD and don’t even have a regular United States Army uniform.

But, when I go to the bush (which I haven’t done in years), I do still have all of my TA-50 combat firld gear, with a gas mask, helmet, flak vest, and semi-automatic CAR-15 with bayonet and forty round magazine, and I wear a woodland camouflaged shirt, jacket, and boonie hat with levis and zip-up jump boots.

When attending patriotic functions, I wear my suit and tie with my full-sized medals arranged properly, as per AR-670-1:30-6.

When going to church, I wear my Sunday-go-to-meetin’ suit with a miniature riband rack on my lapel.

When attending Scottish events, I wear my clan’s tartan kilt, with full Highland regalia, including my full-sized medals on my Argyll jacket.

Here is the URL where you can peruse a copy of the Army Regulation, and view photographs of me, properly wearing military decorations on civilian clothes:

http://writesong.blogspot.com/2011/10/proper-civilian-wear-of-military-medals.html

John Robert Mallernee

Back when President Bush was in office, I went with a group from the Ol’ Soldiers’ Home to Arlington National Cemetery for either (I can’t remember) Veterans Day or Memorial Day.

Because the President and First Lady were there, the Secret Service was screening everybody.

I was wearing my full-sized medals on my suit coat, and the Secret Service agent just sort of looked at me, pretended to run his wand over me, and waved me on through.

However, another Secret Service agent did have me put my Swiss Army knife in a cardboard box, which after the ceremony, they allowed me to retrieve as we were all leaving.

Being a guy, I was particularly interested in observing the female Secret Service agent, who was standing out in front of everybody watching all of us.

But, I never met her.

Besides, she was probably married.

Shucks, ain’t that always how it is?

Commissioner Wretched

John … off topic here a moment.

Seeing the pictures of you in your Scottish attire, I wonder if you ever get to the Stone Mountain Highland Games in Georgia? I ask because you look awfully familiar to me. If it isn’t you, it’s a close relative that I’ve seen a few times there.

If it is you and you plan to be there this year, I’ll make it a point to stop by and introduce myself.

John Robert Mallernee

@ COMMISSIONER WRETCHED:

No, I’m in Vernal, Utah, and on my limited fixed income, I couldn’t possibly attend the Stone Mountain Highland Games.

My clan, Clan Henderson, is always at the Stone Mountain Highland Games.

Here in Utah, I’ll be attending the Utah Scottish Festival at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah on Friday 12 June, Saturday 13 June, and Sunday 14 June 2015.

I also plan to attend the Payson, Utah Scottish Festival in July.

When I was living back East, I used to regularly attend the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival in Calvert County, Maryland, and the annual Scottish Christmas Walk in Alexandria, Virginia.

CLAW131

Nope, don’t have a set of greens to wear anymore. Donated to Goodwill almost 20 years ago.

Would probably still fit into them though. My weight at retirement physical was 204. Current weight 194. Pants size back then was 38, currently wear 36’s.

Only uniform type stuff left is a Jungle Fatigue Top, BDU Top and a BDU Field Jacket. No stress on any buttons or zippers. 3/17 AirCav can attest to my physique. I’m still at a pretty trim fighting height/weight, as is he.

Guard Bum

I retired in 2010 and like you, never have felt compelled to dress up in my old uniform and rightly or wrongly I always question it when I see some old guy trying to rock a uniform when he isn’t actively serving.

In fact its one of the things that turned me off from joining the local VFW.I attended one event where I saw so many obvious and glaring discrepancies that I was actually physically ill.

A Proud Infidel®™

‘Ol “Rhonda” poked her head in here JUST long enough to make a Psul-like comment, I wonder if she has a T-bird habit?

HEY RHONDA, JUST TRY TO MESS WITH EX-PH2, I DARE YA!!!

Buck-buck BUKAAK!

sj

If Wave is such a bad ass, why does Rhonda have to protect him?

A Proud Infidel®™

RHONDA, if you’re SO sure of your hero Waverly Reynar (Google Hit!) then by all means summon this “General” you speak of and show us your proof. Waverly Reynar (GH!) himself HAS NOT come here to vet himself, he hasn’t even tried, he talked trash on another thread, and now he’s hiding behind your skirt, YOU’VE BEEN CONNED into doing his dirty work. You’re enabling him by rendering assistance in trying to help him maintain his facade, and I don’t think hr really even cares about anything other than living his lie, he’ll let you go down in flames because like all other con men, he only cares about himself and his facade, we’ve seen it happen with many others, they’ll goad an enabler to raise hell here on TAH, and it only backfires leaving the dupe with a stained name and reputation.
Getting conned SUCKS, Rhonda. It’s happened to me, and I had to pick myself up and dust myself off afterward. Quit while you’re still ahead, and ask your hero Waverly Reynar (GH)WHY he hasn’t come to TAH to explain and vet himself, he’s mudsucking you big time by his having you do his mudslinging.

Tankboy

So it seems Rhonda is no longer on Wave’s friends list. Interesting. Wave? You trying to do a little damage control, buddy? Too late! With this many hits, I’m pretty sure at this point googling your name brings you right here. Matter of fact, as you won’t contact me, I wonder how many of you relatives in Leduc know about your little pretend Marine hobby?

A Proud Infidel®™

Aahh, so Rhonda has dropped Waverly Reynar (Google Hit!) as a Facebook friend? I hope she realized that Waverly Reynar (GH!) is just another conman that doesn’t care about anyone but himself. ENJOY your newfound fame, Waverly Reynar!! BTW, one of my high school mentors was none other than a WWII, Korea and Vietnam USMC Vet, that old Warrior was so tough he ALWAYS wore out his clothes from the inside!

TankBoy

No, she was there. I just sent her a message. She has the courage to come here, unlike hi, maybe she and I can have a dialogue.

A Proud Infidel®™

I just hope for her sake she realizes she was conned by that blubbernecked pencildick and refrains from embarrassing herself any further, I hope you succeed in getting to talk to her, Tank!

AverageNCO

Rhonda should read the George Lauve thread and see what happened to the nice ladies who came on here to defend him.

Hondo

Or she could read the comments to the Chevalier articles and see what some of Chevy’s ex-ladyfriends had to say about him.

However, reading those Chevalier articles and comments would likely take her most of the rest of the night. Or maybe longer than that. (smile)

Ex-PH2

As Marines may know, the Marine Corps has a limited number of Lieutenant General (3-star) positions. I have the names of 11 of them. I’m sure anyone with a small amount of initiative can supply the remaining 6 names, especially Marines who know who is who and what is what.

So, basically, I am calling ‘hogwash’, ‘balderdash’ and poppycock on Rhondaa’s claim because if she does have a 3-star ‘boyfriend’ as she claims, I’d want to see his CV.

As it is, because woobles wverly is letting her take the lead, she should know he’s hiding behind HER skirts, because he’s a liar and a coward.

TankBoy

Hopefully, LtGen Mills. I was with him on float with 3/6 back in the nineties. Or General LaFebvre. I trained his son when he was in NROTC at Duke. My point is, the middle manager officers I knew when I was a Corporal and Sergeant became Generals. They are not gods. And generally, they remember us and value our abilities. Including the ability to call bullshit on a poser with weak fakery skills. So no, count me unimpressed with that threat. Have we played out the super ninja classified DD 214 yet? This seems to be going according to script…

TankBoy

I messaged Rhonda and pointed out some of the glaring inconsistencies with Wave. I was polite about it. If she chooses to not believe the truth, I am done with her. Even with her argumentativeness, I believe her to be a victim of Wave, much like the gentlemen of the Third MARDIV Association.

A Proud Infidel®™

Like I said to her, getting conned BLOWS, it’s happened to me. I just hope she awakens and realizes how Waverly Reynar used her and most likely doesn’t care one bit about her, he only cares about himself and his con game. I wish you success in corresponding with her, Tank!!

sj

Amen. Civilians think we shiver in our boots around GO’s. When we/they are active, there is usually respect or at least professionalism. When we/they are retired, the “rank” = “retired”, i.e., just another person. Like someone said earlier, if Rhonda’s GO is active, then HE works for US.

I was an Aide for a 3 star. One day his predecessor tried to get into see him. He told me to tell him to go see the contracts people, just like every other contractor, because his title was now “Mr.”, not General.

sj

I just remembered the conversation:
Q: Sir, Gen Halftrack would like to get on your calendar
A: Is that how he identified himself?
Q: yes sir.
A: Call him back and address him as “Mr.” Tell him I said…(as above)

TankBoy

I have heard a similar, but less polite, story about a former Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps from someone in the room that day. It was not pretty. It garnered a whole lot of respect from me for the successor. The former was absolutely terrible. Maybe the worst pick since the formation of the billet in 1957.

Hondo

At least you guys in the USMC avoided a McKinney.

TankBoy

Trust me when I say our guy was right there with McKinney. I have a few stories on him.

Any chance the Sergeant Major that you are referring to gave a public endorsement to Senator Obama in his first run for President? If I was that particular person, after seeing what he has done to the military over the last seven years, I would commit ritual suicide.

Stolen Valour Canada has read my message, it appears, however they haven't responded. I sent another message asking for some type of response. If the response I get is unsatisfactory, I will be paying mr. Waverly a visit when I get back to Alberta in June/July timeframe. Id like to confront this man, my problem being I have no idea what release records look like for American forces, or the marines specifically. If John is around at some point, I may have questions for him about what to look for, if this man will actually show me his paperwork. I honestly doubt he's legit, but I'm not a shoot first, ask questions later sort. However if I do find out he's a fraud, I would ask for this groups help in tracking down every article and group he has lied to, so we can push for retractions of articles, etc.

Contrary to popular belief, we have guns up here.
We just prefer to beat down hosers with hockey sticks, eh?

As much as this fool wishes it were otherwise, he’s just a typical, run of the mill, lying pos. He needs to just stop with the lies. If he did that, he would actually be kinda special. Most posers just double down. It is so nice when the very occasional poser responds by giving it up and finding some other avocation.

So far Waverly Reynar hasn’t uttered a peep here, he conned someone else into helping him keep up his con game.

OIF '06-'07-'08

Well, have been busy the last couple of days and I see that the sockpuppets are coming to the defense of the worthless lying piece of shit. Wonder’s never cease how these people get so many wrapped up in their lies.

Mr Reynar, looking up at your pictures reminds me of what dog turds look like after they have laid out in the sun for a week or two. Actually, those dog turds look better than you, It is sad that you have absolutely no kind of an identity what so ever in your entire adult life that you had to go out and create a false one. How empty is your soul and conscience Mr. Reynar to compel you to live this lie for decades? hell, a few days ago I thought that a one Gregory Allen(http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=59582) was a shoe in for the years worst stolen valor poser, but damn was I wrong.

Now then, to the sock puppet Rhonda, all I have to say to you is by defending this dog turd of a human being, you are shitting on every veteran or combat veteran that has been awarded the Purple Heart or made the ultimate sacrifice and your are just as low as Mr. Reynar is for failing to see the forest of lies he has created.
