Friday morning feel good story

| March 20, 2015

So this morning’s story comes from Oklahoma;

An 84-year-old man was able to turn the tables on a robber who hit him in the face and took his wallet.

Doug Jandebeur wasn’t too flustered about being robbed Monday night in front of his business near 71st and Lewis, especially after he was able to send the robber running away in fear.

Video shows Jandebeur walked to his black truck when the robber came up behind him.

“The guy starts saying, ‘Don’t turn around, don’t turn around,'” Jandebeur said.

At first he thought it was one of his buddies playing a trick until the robber punched him in the side of the face.

“I felt him take my billfold out and he head over to the door where my wife was,” said Jandebeur.

The robber stopped near the door – like he was looking inside the billfold – then, all of a sudden, he took off running.

We asked what scared the man off, Jandebeur said, “I pulled out my automatic and was getting ready to ventilate him.”

He pulled his gun out of his left pocket, and that’s when the tables were turned, and the robber was the one afraid.

Imagine if Mr. Jandebeur had been twenty years younger or would have had his “auto” in an IWB holster or wearing a shoulder rig…Glad all he got was a punch and bruise. Knowing that one business has a cam setup on the stripmall, I’d be kind of inclined to open up shop there.

The story could have had a “happy ever after” ending if he had shot the dirty little s.o.b.!!

That young man was just soliciting donations for the Democratic party’s next run. That old taxpayer can always get more money by working and stuff.

Hondo

Tough old fella. Well done.

Wonder if the young “tough” also had to change pants and clean up after he got home? (smile)

Sparks

He’s a tough old bird for sure. Do wish he had had the chance to “ventilate” the thug, in his words.

“I pulled out my automatic and was getting ready to ventilate him.”
